Main trailer for movie “Don’t Cry, Mr. Ogre” (English title) starring Shinichi Tsutsumi and Yuya Yagira. Movie is based on short story “Sensei” by Kiyoshi Shigematsu and directed by Atsushi Kaneshige (“Kiseki: Sobito of That Day“). The baseball themed film follows a retired high school coach and his desire to help one of his terminally ill former students with unfinished business.

“Don’t Cry, Mr. Ogre” will be released June 14, 2019 in Japan.

Riho Yoshioka cast in movie “Blind Witness”

Riho Yoshioka is cast for the lead role in movie “Blind Witness” (“Mienai Mokugekisha”). Movie is a remake of 2011 South Korean film “Blind” starring Kim Ha-Neul and Yoo Seung-Ho. For “Blind Witness,” Riho Yoshioka will play Natsume Hamanaka. She lost her eyesight and her younger brother in a car accident on the night she graduated from the police university. A few years later, she attempts to find a serial kidnapper. Movie is directed by Junichi Mori (“Laundry“/”Little Forest: Summer & Autumn“).

“Blind Witness” will be released September 20, 2019 in Japan.

Main trailer and poster for movie “Diner”

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Diner” starring Tatsuya Fujiwara. The film is based on novel “Diner” by Yumeaki Hirayama (“Cho: Kowai Hanashi“) and directed by Mika Ninagawa. Meanwhile, the trailer reveals that Tina Tamashiro has been cast to play Kanako Oba. She begins to work at the mysterious diner where the movie is set and her character holds a key to the story. Still images below is of Tina Tamashiro as Kanako Oba and Tatsuya Fujiwara as Bombero.

“Diner” will be released July 5, 2019 in Japan.

Teaser trailer #2 added for SBS drama series “My Absolute Boyfriend” starring Yeo Jin-Goo and Bang Min-Ah. Drama series is based on manga series “Zettai Kareshi” by Yuu Watase. There’s five captions appearing in teaser trailer #2 which states (4 second mark) “Like spring rain that comes suddenly,” (9 second mark) “She’s in my mind,” (12 second mark) “She came into my mind,” and (13 second mark) “She connected to my program.”

“My Absolute Boyfriend” first airs May 15, 2019 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer #2 for upcoming KBS2 drama series “Angel’s Last Mission: Love” (English title) starring L (Kim Myung-Soo) and Shin Hye-Sun. The drama series has L playing angel Dan. Teaser trailer #2 has L’s voice appearing at the 15 second mark and he states in Korean “On the last day of the world, I met her like an accident.”

“Angel’s Last Mission: Love” first airs May 15, 2019 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “Doctor Prisoner“).

Juri Ueno cast in Fuji TV live-action drama series “Medical Examiner Asagao”

Juri Ueno is cast for the title role in Fuji TV live-action drama series “Medical Examiner Asagao” (literal title). Saburo Tokito is also cast for a major supporting character role. The drama series is based on manga series “Kansatsui Asagao” by Masahito Kagawa & illustrated by Naomi Kimura. Story for the drama series will have Juri Ueno playing medical examiner Asagao Maki. Saburo Tokito will play her father, who works as a veteran detective.

“Medical Examiner Asagao” first airs July 8, 2019 (takes over Fuji TV’s Monday 9PM time slot aftr “Radiation House“).
