Kim Da-Mi cast in movie “Hi, My Soul Mate”

Kim Da-Mi is cast for a lead role in movie “Hi, My Soul Mate” (literal title). The film is a remake of 2016 Chinese film “Soul Mate.” The Korean film version will be directed by Min Yong-Keun (“Re-encounter“). Story for “Hi, My Soul Mate” will follow the friendship of two girls over a 14 year period. Filming for “Hi, My Soul Mate” will begin sometime during the first half of 2020. Kim Da-Mi previously starred in mystery-action film “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion.”

Lee Dong-Hwi & Kim Byung-Chul cast in tvN drama series “Cheap Cheonrima Mart”

Lee Dong-Hwi & Kim Byung-Chul are cast in tvN drama series “Cheap Cheonrima Mart” (literal title). Also cast in the drama series in major supporting character roles are Park Ho-San, Lee Soon-Jae and Jung Hye-Sung. The drama series is based on webcomic “Ssabnida Cheonrimamateu” by Kim Kyu-Sam. For the drama series, Lee Dong-Hwi will play Moon Suk-Goo. He works as a manager at Cheonrima Mart, but the store is dying due to a lack of customers. Kim Byung-Chul will play Jung Bok-Dong. He becomes the CEO of Cheonrima Mart after being demoted from the store’s parent company. Park Ho-San will play Kwon Young-Goo. He is an executive at the store’s parent company. Lee Soon-Jae will play Kim Dae-Ma. He is the chairman of the store’s parent company. Lastly, Jung Hye-Sung will play Jo Mi-Ran. She is sent by the parent company to watch over the CEO at Cheonrima Mart.

“Cheap Cheonrima Mart” first airs September, 2019 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Friday 11 PM time slot).

Trailer for movie “Closed Ward”

Trailer added for movie “Closed Ward” starring Tsurube Shofukutei, Gou Ayano and Nana Komatsu. Movie is based on 1994 novel “Heisa Byoutou” by Hosei Hahakigi, which 2011 film “Closed Ward” is also based on the same novel. Hideyuki Hirayama directs the movie. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed which is “Hikaru Sora Aoku” by Korean singer K. The song is featured in the trailer.

“Closed Ward” will be released November 1, 2019 in Japan.

MBC drama series “Welcome 2 Life” to premiere August 5, 2019

Upcoming MBC drama series “Welcome 2 Life” is now scheduled to first air on Monday, August 5, 2019. This is a week later than originally planned due to the delay in airing the final episodes of “Partners for Justice Season 2.” The airing of ep.31-32 of “Partners for Justice Season 2” was delayed by one week due to airing of the Gwangju 2019 World Aquatics Championships. Meanwhile, above are new still images from the drama series of Rain and Lim Ji-Yeon. The drama series follows main character Lee Jae-Sang (Rain) as a car accident leads him to enter a parallel world.

Two teaser posters and release date for movie “Bad Guys: The Movie”

2 teaser posters and release date added for movie “Bad Guys: The Movie” (literal title) starring Kim Sang-Joong, Ma Dong-Seok, Kim A-Joong, Chang Ki-Yong and Gang Ye-Won. The two teaser posters also reveal that “Bad Guys: The Movie” will be released September, 2019 in South Korea. Caption on both of the posters teases in Korean “Release the crazy dogs again.” The film is a sequel to 2014 OCN drama series “Bad Guys” and 2017 OCN drama series “Bad Guys: Vile City.” Of the lead performers, Kim Sang-Joong, Ma Dong-Seok and Gang Ye-Won will reprise characters from the original 2014 drama series, while Kim A-Joong and Chang Ki-Yong will play new characters.

Teaser trailer & teaser poster for live-action film “Kiss Me at the Stroke of Midnight”

Teaser trailer & teaser poster added for live-action film “Kiss Me at the Stroke of Midnight” starring Ryota Katayose and Kanna Hashimoto. Movie is based on manga series “Gozen 0 ji, Kiss Shi ni Kite yo” by Rin Mikimoto (“Close Range Love“) and directed by Takehiko Shinjo (“Your Lie in April“). Newly announced supporting cast members for the film are Arisa Yagi, Sae Okazaki, Katsuhiro Suzuki, Wakana Sakai, Kenichi Endo, Rihito Noda, Takuma Usa and Shuichiro Naito.

“Kiss Me at the Stroke of Midnight” is also now set set for release December 6, 2019 in Japan.
