Actor Lee Joon-Gi is set to make a cameo appearance in ep.3 of currently airing tvN drama series “Hotel Del Luna” starring IU and Yeo Jin-Goo. Lee Joon-Gi accepted the cameo appearance due to his relationship with IU. The duo previously starred in 2016 SBS drama series “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.” Character description for Lee Joon-Gi’s cameo appearance has not yet been revealed.

Yuko Araki & Kengo Kora are cast in Fuji TV live-action drama series “Ex-Boyfriend Mania” (literal title). The drama series is based on manga series “Motokare Mania” by Yukari Takinami and directed by Michiko Namiki. The drama series will follow two former lovers who meet 5 years after their breakup as co-workers.

Ep.1 air date for tvN drama series “Catch The Ghost,” starring Moon Geun-Young & Kim Sun-Ho, is now set for August 26, 2019 in South Korea. The drama series will take over tvN’s Monday & Tuesday 21:30 time slot currently held by “Designated Survivor: 60 Days.” Meanwhile, above and below are photos from the first script reading for the drama series. Main cast members including Moon Geun-Young , Kim Sun-Ho, Jung Eugene, Ki Do-Hoon, Nam Gi-Ae, Jo Jae-Yun and Park Ho-San attended the first script reading. The script reading took about 4 hours to complete. The drama series follows detectives as they try to capture a serial killer known as “Ghost.”

Park Seo-Joon, Kim Da-Mi and Yoo Jae-Myung are cast in JTBC drama series “Itaewon Class.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Itaewon Class” by Jo Gwang-Jin. For the drama series, Park Seo-Joon will play main character Park Sae-Ro-Yi. After serving prison time for beating someone who caused his father’s death, he vows to destroy that person and that person’s father. Kim Da-Mi will play Jo Yi-Seo. She begins working as the manager for a restaurant in Itaewon that Park Sae-Ro-Yi runs. Yoo Jae-Myung will play villain Jang Dae-Hee. He is the CEO of a food company and is hated by Park Sae-Ro-Yi. “Itaewon Class” is also the drama series produced by movie distributor Showbox.
“Itaewon Class” will first air sometime during the second half of this year in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Friday & Saturday 11 PM time slot after “Chocolate.”).

Mao Inoue is cast in NHK drama series “Boy Torajiro” (literal title). The drama series is based on novel “Warugaki Shosetsu Torajiro no Kokuhaku” by Yoji Yamada. The drama series will cover the first 14 years in the life of famous fictional character Torajiro Kuruma. He is the main character in the “Tora-san” series of films directed by Yoji Yamada. In the drama series, Mao Inoue will play Mitsuko Kuruma. She is the mother of Torajiro Kuruma. Also cast in the drama series are Katsuya Maiguma, Yuki Izumisawa, Yukino Kishii and Kanji Ishimaru.

Kento Yamazaki & Mayu Matsuoka are cast in romance film “Theater” (literal title). The movie is directed by Isao Yukisada and based on 2017 novel “Gekijo” by actor-writer Naoki Matayoshi (“Spark“). In the film Kento Yamazaki plays a theater writer/director Nagata. He falls in love with a woman he meets on the street played by Mayu Matsuoka. Filming for “Theater” began early June, 2019 in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, Japan and is still ongoing.
“Theater” will be released sometime in 2020.
