Yoo Ah-In & Park Shin-Hye cast in movie “#Alone”

Yoo Ah-In and Park Shin-Hye are cast in disaster film “#Alone” (working title). The film is set in a city where a mysterious virus has spread out of control. Yoo Ah-In and Park Shin-Hye will play survivors in the city. Movie is written and directed by first time feature film director Jo Il-Hyeong. Filming for “#Alone” will begin sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.

First script reading for tvN drama series “Melting Me Softly”

First script reading for tvN drama series “Melting Me Softly” took place June, 2019 in Sangam Neighborhood, Seoul. The first script reading had main cast members including Ji Chang-Wook, Won Jin-A, Yoon Se-Ah, Lim Won-Hee, Kim Won-Hae, Shim Hyung-Tak, Jeon Su-Kyeong, Yoon Seok-Hwa, Jung Hae-Kyun, Gil Hae-Yeon and Seo Jung-Yeon. The drama series is the first acting role for lead actor Ji Chang-Wook since he was discharged from the south Korean military on April 27, 2019.

“Melting Me Softly ” first airs sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.

Kang Ji-Hwan drops out of TV Chosun drama series “Joseon Survival”

Actor Kang Ji-Hwan has dropped out of currently airing TV Chosun drama series “Joseon Survival” according to the series’ production company Huayi Brothers. The production company are currently looking for an actor to replace the main character of Han Jung-Rok who was played by Kang Ji-Hwan. Korean media reported yesterday, July 10, 2019, that Kang Ji-Hwan was arrested at his house in Gwangju on July 9, 2019 for rape and sexual molestation of 2 women. During the investigation, Kang Ji-Hwan stated that he drank alcohol with 2 female staff members at his house, but he doesn’t remember what happened afterwards. He woke up and found himself in a room with the 2 women sleeping. Due to Kang Ji-Hwan’s exit from the drama series, the two episodes scheduled to air on Saturday, July 13th & Sunday, July 14th have been postponed.

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Flower Crew: Joseon Matchmaking Maneuver Agency”

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Flower Crew: Joseon Matchmaking Maneuver Agency” (literal title) took place April, 2019 at JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. Attending the first script reading were main cast members Kim Min-Jae, Kong Seung-Yeon, Seo Ji-Hoon, Park Ji-Hoon, Byeon Woo-Seok, Go Won-Hee, Park Ho-San, Jung Jae-Sung, Lee Yoon-Gun, Kwon So-Hyun, Jang Yoo-Sang, Jung Eui-Jae, Ha Hoe-Jung and Park Bo-Mi. Prior to the start of the first script reading, director Kim Ga-Ram expressed his gratitude for working on the drama series.

“Flower Crew: Joseon Matchmaking Maneuver Agency” first airs September, 2019 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Monday & Tuesday 9:30 PM time slot after “Moment at Eighteen.”).

Trailer and poster for WOWOW drama series “And, Live”

Poster and trailer added for upcoming WOWOW drama series “And, Live” (literal title) starring Kasumi Arimura and Kentaro Sakaguchi. The drama series is set a few months after the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in 2011 and follows two volunteers who find an attraction with each other. Caption on the poster states in Japanese “I met you and I became strong.” Former Kara idol group member Kang Ji-Young also appears in the drama series in a supporting role. Below are still images from the drama series.

“And, Live” will first air August 4, 2019 in Japan (takes over WOWOW’s Sunday 10PM time slot after “Hand of God.”).

Teaser trailer #1 added for KBS2 drama series “I Wanna Hear Your Song” (English title) starring Yeon Woo-Jin and Kim Se-Jeong (‘Gugudan’). The first teaser trailer features Kim Se-Jeong as Hong Yi-Young. She is suffering from insomnia and unable to fall asleep. She screams out “Please, somebody put me to sleep!” Meanwhile below are still images of Kim Se-Jeong and Yeon Woo-Jin.

Teaser trailer and two teaser posters added for movie “Tazza: One Eyed Jack” starring Park Jung-Min and Ryoo Seung-Bum. The film is a sequel to 2006 movie “Tazza: The High Rollers” and 2014 movie “Tazza: The Hidden Card.” Park Jung Min playsmain character Do Il-Chool. Yoo Yeon-Seok offered co-lead male role in tvN drama series “Wise Doctor Life”

Yoo Yeon-Seok has been offered a co-lead male role in tvN drama series “Wise Doctor Life” (literal title). Actor Cho Jung-Seok has already received an offer to play a co-lead male role and he is still considering his offer. Yoo Yeon-Seok is currently “positively considering” his offer. The drama series will have feature 4 co-lead male characters. “Wise Doctor Life” is directed by Shin Won-Ho and scripted by Lee Woo-Jung, who previously worked with Yoo Yeon-Seok in tvN drama series “Reply 1994.” Director Shin Won-Ho and screenwriter Lee Woo-Jung have worked together in all three of the “Reply” drama series.

“Wise Doctor Life” will first air sometime during the second half of this year in South Korea.

TaecYeon cast in MBC drama series “The Game: Towards Zero”

TaecYeon (‘2PM’) is cast in new MBC drama series “The Game: Towards Zero” (literal title). For TaecYeon, this is his first acting role since he was discharged from the South Korean military on May 16, 2019. The drama series itself combines fantasy, suspense and crime genres. TaecYeon’s character of Tae-Pyeong has the special ability to look into someone’s eye and see the moment where they are about to die. He partners with a detective to tackle a serial murder case. Filming for the drama series begins this autumn and the drama series will first air January, 2020 in South Korea.
