Anna Yamada cast in movie “End roll of the world Nameless”

Anna Yamada is cast in movie “End roll of the world Nameless” (literal title) co-starring Takanori Iwata & Mackenyu Arata. Anna Yamada will play Yocchi in the film. She has been friends with Kida (Takanori Iwata) and Makoto (Mackenyu Arata) since they were children. She was also bullied in her past and carries psychological wounds from that. The 3 friends promised to stick together, but Yochhi had to leave Kida and Makoto. Movie is based on 2013 novel novel “Na mo Naki Sekai no End Roll” by Kaoru Yukinari.

“End roll of the world Nameless” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Takaya Kamikawa cast in WOWOW drama “No Matter How Dark The Night Is”

Takaya Kamikawa is cast for the lead role in WOWOW drama series “No Matter How Dark The Night Is” (literal title). The drama series is based on 2020 novel “Yoru ga Dorehodo Kurakutemo” by Shichiri Nakayama (“Goodbye Debussy“). For “No Matter How Dark The Night Is,” Takaya Kamikawa will play journalist Michinari Shiga. He becomes the target of journalists after his son kills another person and himself.

“No Matter How Dark The Night Is” will consist of 4 episodes and first air November, 2020 (takes over WOWOW’s Sunday 10PM time slot after “The Confession of the Sirens“).

Fumino Kimura cast in TV Asahi drama “Seven Secretaries”

Fumino Kimura is cast for the lead role in TV Asahi drama series “Seven Secretaries” (literal title of “Shichinin no Hisho”). Also cast for supporting roles are Alice HiroseNanaoShim Eun-KyungYuko OshimaShigeru Muroi and Yosuke Eguchi.

For the drama series, Fumino Kimura will play Chiyo Mochizuki. She currently works as a director’s secretary at Toto bank. Chiyo Mochizuki is part of a shadow corps consisting of seven people who works or have worked as secretaries.

“Seven Secretaries” first airs October, 2020 (takes over TV Asahi’s Thursdays 9PM time slot after “Women Document Detectives Season 2“).

Trailer & poster for movie “461 Days of Bento”

Trailer and poster added for movie “461 Days of Bento: A Promise Between Father and Son” starring Yoshihiko Inohara & Shunsuke Michieda. Caption on the poster states “Words can not say for 3 years ‘Thank You.'” Theme song for the movie has also been revealed, which is “Lookin’4” by lead actors Yoshihiko Inohara (V6) and Shunsuke Michieda (“Naniwa Danshi” and “Kansai Johnny’s Jr”). The song is written by Toshimi Watanabe, who also wrote the original essay “461 Ko no Bento wa, Oyaji to Musuko no Otoko no Yakusoku” which the movie is based on. Theme song “Lookin’4” appears in the main trailer as well.

“461 Days of Bento: A Promise Between Father and Son” will be released November 6, 2020 in Japan.

Group poster for KBS2 drama “The Zombie Detective”

Group poster added for KBS2 drama series “The Zombie Detective” starring Choi Jin-Hyuk & Park Joo-Hyun.

The drama series was originally scheduled to air from August 31, 2020, but its premiere has been delayed due to scheduling conflicts caused by the Covid-19 outbreak. In particular, currently airing drama series “Men are Men” was supposed to finished on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, but supporting actor Seo Sung-Jong, who participated in filming for the drama series on August 14, 2020, tested positive for Covid-19 on August 19, 2020. All staff members and performers who were in contact with Seo Sung-Jong during filming of “Men are Men” then underwent testing for Covid-19 and they all came out negative. Filming for “Men are Men” stopped on August 19, 2020 and filming resumes August 24, 2020. “Men are Men” will air its last episode on Tuesday, September 1st, 2020. “The Zombie Detective” will then take over KBS2’s Monday and Tuesday time slot sometime after September 1st.

Mikako Tabe & Takanori Iwata cast in movie “Living In Your Sky”

Mikako Tabe & Takanori Iwata (“J Soul Brothers” & “EXILE”) are cast in movie “Living In Your Sky.” The film is based on 2013 novel “Sora ni Sumu” by Masato Odake and directed by Shinji Aoyama (“Sad Vacation“). Also cast in the film are Yukino KishiiRie MimuraShingo TsurumiHisafumi IwashitaHiroshi TakahashiNao OmoriMasatoshi Nagase, and Akira Emoto. The film will follow the lives of women in their 20’s and 30’s, including Naomi played by Mikako Tabe.

“Living In Your Sky” will be released October 23, 2020 in Japan.

Kim Hye-Yoon cast in drama series “Snowdrop”

Kim Hye-Yoon is cast for lead role in drama series “Snowdrop” co-starring Blackpink’s Kim Ji-Soo. For “Snowdrop,” Kim Hye-Yoon will reunite with director Jo Hyun-Tak and screenwriter Yoo Hyun-Mi. All three previously worked together in hit 2018 JTBC drama series “SKY Castle.” Meanwhile, the lead male role has been offered to actor Jung Hae-In and he is currently considering the offer.

Details on Kim Hye-Yoon’s character description has not yet been revealed or when the drama series will air.
