Eita Nagayama and Osamu Mukai are cast in NHK drama series “Bakumatsu Aiboden.” The drama series is set during Bakumatsu, which is the later years of the Edo period. Eita Nagayama and Osamu Mukai will play two men tasked with finding the person who attempted to murder the shogun. The drama series is based on 2008 novel “Aibo” by Takahisa Igarashi.
“Bakumatsu Aiboden” will air January, 2022 in Japan.

First teaser trailers added for KBS2 drama series “Red Shoes” starring Choi Myoung-Gil & So E-Hyun. The two leads play mother and daughter in the weekeday evening drama series.
Version 1 of the first teaser trailer features Choi Myoung-Gil as Min Hee-Kyung. She states “Dreaming of a happy life, I met a man and started a family, but my life never had happiness. I wanted to succeed and wanted to become happy. I wanted to live for my own dream. I am innocent.” Version 2 features So E-Hyun as Kim Zem-Ma. She states in her teaser “I’ve never been blessed since I was born. Mom, your life was only about your pursuit of your dream. One day, you disappeared into the light and we were forgotten. Two trailers added for movie “Last of the Wolves” starring Tori Matsuzaka and Ryohei Suzuki. Movie is a sequel to 2018 movie “The Blood of Wolves” and also based on 2015 novel Korou no Chi” by Yuko Yuzuki. The sequel film is directed by Kazuya Shiraishi, who also directed the original 2018 movie.
“Last of the Wolves” will be released August 20, 2021 in Japan.

Lee Ha-Nee and Lee Sang-Yoon are cast in SBS drama series “One the Woman.” The drama series will have Lee Ha-Nee play two different characters. Lee Sang-Yoon will play the son of a chaebol family. He gets involved with Jo Yeon-Joo played by Lee Ha-Nee.
“One the Woman” will air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea, likely in SBS’ weekend evening time slot.

Kim Nam-Gil is cast for the lead role in SBS drama series “Those Who Read Hearts of Evil” (literal title). The drama series is based on nonfiction novel “Akui Maeumeul Ilneun Jadeul” by criminal profiler Kwon Il-Yong & writer Go Na-Moo. Kim Nam-Gil will play Song Ha-Young. He works as criminal profiler to catch serial killers. Casting is underway for other roles in the drama series. As soon as casting is finished, filming is expected to begin.

Movie is based on 2018 novel “Kanojo ga Sukina Mono wa Homo de Atte Boku dewa Nai” by Naoto Asahara and was previously adapted into 2019 NHK drama series “Fujoshi, Ukkari Gei ni Kokuru.” The teaser trailer begins with Sae Miura (Anna Yamada), who doesn’t know Jun Ando (Fuju Kamio) is gay, confessing her feelings to him.
