Satoshi Tsumabuki, Sakura Ando, & Masataka Kubota are cast for lead roles in movie “A Man” (literal title). The film is based on 2018 novel “Aru Otoko” by Keiichiro Hirano and directed by Kei Ishikawa (“Gukoroku: Traces of Sin“). Also cast for supporting roles are Nana Seino, Hidekazu Mashima, Kazutoyo Koyabu, Taiga Nakano, Yoko Maki, and Akira Emoto. Filming for the movie took place from January 25th to March 1st, 2021.
The mystery film will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Jung Woo, Park Hee-Soon, Yoon Jin-Seo and Park Ji-Yeon are cast in Netflix drama series “Model Family” (literal title). The drama series will have Jung Woo and Yoon Jin-Seo playing a married couple. The husband becomes involved with a drug gang through a character played by Park Hee-Soon. Actress Park Ji-Yeon will play a detective that investigates the drug gang.
First script reading for the drama series already took place, but the release date has yet to be announced.

Masaki Okada and Haruna Kawaguchi are cast for lead roles in movie “The Cursed Sanctuary X” (working title). Movie is based on play “Seichi X” by Tomohiro Maekawa and directed by Yu Irie (“8000 Miles“). Filming for the movie has already completed and took place in South Korea over a 1 month period. Meanwhile, the first teaser trailer for the film has been added on AsianWiki. The genre of the movie is horror/mystery, with Masaki Okada and Haruna Kawaguchi playing siblings.
“The Cursed Sanctuary X” will be released autumn, 2021 in Japan.

Main trailer added for movie “I Don’t Have Any Money Left in My Retirement Account” (literal title) starring Yuki Amami. Movie is based on 2015 novel “Rogo no Shikin ga Arimasen” by Miu Kakiya and directed by Tetsu Maeda (“A Banana? At This Time of Night?“). The film follows a housewife (Yuki Amami) in a situation that leads her to reduce her retirement account significantly. She agonizes over her situation.

Ryusei Yokohama is cast in TBS drama series “DCU” starring Hiroshi Abe. The title of the drama series stands for deep crime unit, which is a team of the coast guard formed to fight to underwater crimes. Ryusei Yokohama will play Haruki Seno. His character is a member of DCU and an excellent scuba diver. His parents had a fatal accident in the sea when he was young. Meanwhile, Ryusei Yokohama acquired a scuba diving license in preparation to play his character in the drama series.
“DCU” will air January, 2022 in Japan.

Kanna Hashimoto is cast for the lead role in movie “Karada Sagashi.” Movie is based on web novel “Karada Sagashi” by Welzard and directed by Eiichiro Hasumi (“Assassination Classroom“). Kanna Hashimoto will play high school student Asuka Morisaki in the film. Filming is scheduled to begin September, 2021 and will take place in Kitakyushu, Japan.

First teaser trailer added for Netflix drama series “Hellbound” starring Yoo Ah-In, Park Jung-Min, & Kim Hyun-Joo. Drama series is based on webcomic “Jiok” by Yeon Sang-Ho (“Train To Busan“) and also directed by him.
The first teaser trailer begins with Yoo Ah-In stating that an angel and prophesies appears. The angel tells the name of the person who hears the prophecy and states “You will die that day and that time and you will go to Hell.”
Release date for “Hellbound” has not yet been revealed.

Yoon Si-Yoon has been offered the lead male role in KBS2 drama series “The Present Is Beautiful” (literal title). Currently, Yoon Si-Yoon is “positively considering” the offer. If he accepts, Yoon Si-Yoon will play divorce attorney Lee Hyun-Jae. The Korean title of the drama series “Hyunjaeneun Areumdawo” can be translated literally as “The Present Is Beautiful” or “Hyun-Jae is Beautiful” (which contain’s the lead male character’s name).
“The Present Is Beautiful” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.
