Teaser trailer for tvN drama “Bulgasal: Immortal Souls”

Teaser trailer added for tvN drama series “Bulgasal: Immortal Souls” (English title) starring Lee Jin-Wook, Kwon Na-Ra, Lee Joon, & Gong Seung-Yeon. The teaser trailer has Lee Jin-Wook’s voice around the 11 second mark stating “Can’t kill and can’t die. Bulgasal.” The fantasy themed drama series follows a man who became Bulgasal as he chases after a woman who continuously reincarnated into a human being for over 600 years.

The drama series is also now set to first air December 18, 2021 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Saturday and Sunday 9PM time slot after “Jirisan“).

Filming for movie “Sad Tropics” to begin with Kim Sun-Ho

Filming for movie “Sad Tropics” (literal title) will begin with actor Kim Sun-Ho in a starring role. Recently, Kim Sun-Ho was involved in a scandal with an ex-girlfriend, who made charges that he urged her to get an abortion due to possible negative effects on his sponsorship contracts and acting career. Kim Sun-Ho was then dropped from upcoming movies “2 O’clock Date” and “Dog Days” due to the scandal. His ex-girlfriend then stated there were some misunderstandings and she hoped Kim Sun-Ho’s career would not be further harmed by the scandal. Movie is directed by Park Hoon-Jung (“New World“).

Filming for “Sad Tropics” will begin sometime before the end of this year.

Teaser trailer & poster for movie “Tonbi”

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Tonbi” starring Hiroshi Abe & Takumi Kitamura. Movie is based on 2008 novel “Tonbi” by Kiyoshi Shigematsu, which was previously adapted into 2012 NHK drama special “Tonbi” and 2013 TBS drama series “Tonbi.” Caption on the poster sates “My father, who was the most clumsy father in Japan, raised me full of love.”

“Tonbi” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

First script reading for Disney+ drama “Moving”

First script reading for Disney+ drama series “Moving,” starring Ryoo Seung-Ryong, Han Hyo-Joo, and Zo In-Sung, took place August, 2021 in South Korea. The drama series is part of the initial batch of original Korean drama series programming that will premiere on the Disney+ platform, following its premiere in South Korea on November 12. During the script reading Ryoo Seung-Ryong stated “I am excited, happy and honored to participate in such a compelling work. I look forward even more to working on this because of the great staff and colleagues.” Han Hyo-Joo stated “I met many good people through ‘Moving.’ It’s an honor to share writer Kang Pool’s wonderful worldview. Perhaps, this will be a drama series which has never been seen before in Korea.” Lastly, Zo In-Sung stated “I enjoyed reading the original webcomic.” 

“Moving” will be available to stream on Disney+ sometime during the second half of 2022.

First teaser trailer & poster added for iHQ drama series “Sponsor” starring Lee Ji-Hoon, Han Chae-Young, Ji E-Suu, & Koo Ja-Sung. The drama series previously went under the Korean title of “Yokmang” or literally “Desire,” before picking up the title of “Sponsor.” Teaser 1 begins with the voice of Lee Ji-Hoon as he states “My father was a perfect person, but he made one mistake. That was he trusted you.”

“Sponsor” first airs November 29, 2021 on Korean cable channel iHQ.

Trailer 2 for Coupang Play drama “One Ordinary Day”

Trailer #2 added for Coupang Play drama series “One Ordinary Day” starring Kim Soo-Hyun & Cha Seung-Won. Trailer #2 begins with Kim Soo-Hyun’s voice as he states “I ran away because I was scared. I did not do it” and followed by Cha Seung-Won stating “All the answers that come out of your mouth from now on are ‘I don’t know’ and ‘Talk to my lawyer.’”  Captions state (0:21) “Overnight” and (0:23) “Became a suspect for murder.

Minami Hamabe cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama “Dr. White”

Minami Hamabe is cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama series “Dr. White.” The drama series is based on novels “Dr. White: Senrigan no Karute” and “Dr. White: Kami no Shindan” by Shin Kibayashi. For “Dr. White,” Minami Hamabe will play main character Byakuya. She is a mysterious character, who possesses medical knowledge, but doesn’t remember much about herself.

“Dr. White” first airs January, 2022 in Japan.

Park Ju-Hyun & Chae Jong-Hyeop cast in KBS2 drama “The Speed Going to You 493km”

Park Ju-Hyun and Chae Jong-Hyeop are cast in KBS2 drama series “The Speed Going to You 493km” (literal title). The drama series will feature a romance story set within the world of badminton. Park Ju-Hyun will play lead female character Park Tae-Yang and Chae Jong-Hyeop will play lead male character Park Tae-Joon.

“The Speed Going to You 493km” will air sometime during the first half of 2022 in South Korea.

Kazuya Kamenashi cast in WOWOW drama “Shoutai”

Kazuya Kamenashi is cast for the lead role in WOWOW drama series “Shoutai.” The drama series is based on 2020 novel “Shoutai” by Tamehito Somei and directed by Hideo Nakata (“Ring“) & Masaaki Taniguchi (“Signal“). In the drama series, Kazuya Kamenashi will play Keiichi Kaburagi. He is a fugitive, but people begin to wonder if he is really is a murderer.
