Tsubasa Imai, Takashi Tsukamoto, Juon, & Kenjiro Tsuda cast in movie “Tell Me”

Tsubasa ImaiTakashi Tsukamoto, Juon (FUZZY CONTROL), and Kenjiro Tsuda are cast in music biopic film “Tell Me.” The film is based on nonfiction novel “Kyodai Tsuioku no hide” by Hiroshi Matsumoto and directed by Renpei Tsukamoto (“Boku to Kanojo to Rally to“). The film will have Tsubasa Imai playing Hiroshi. His older brother was the late musician Hide (Juon). Hiroshi teams up with producer I.N.A. (Takashi Tsukamoto) to release Hide’s music.

“Tell Me” will be released this summer in Japan.

Teaser trailer & poster for Disney+ drama “Grid”

First teaser trailer and teaser poster added for Disney+ drama series “Grid” starring Seo Kang-Joon & Kim A-Joong. Captions on the teaser posters states “24 years ago, a ghost disappeared like the air. The ghost appeared again” and “Premeditated murder. Different future. Must find.” The drama series follows the premise of a mysterious ghost (Lee Si-Young) who created a grid that blocked the solar wind and saved humankind. The ghost appears again 24 years later and helps a serial killer (Kim Sung-Kyun) escape. Kim Sae-Ha (Seo Kang-Joon), Jung Sae-Byeok (Kim A-Joong ) and Song Eo-Jin (Kim Moo-Yul) chase the ghost for their own reasons. 

“Grid” will stream from February 16, 2022 on Disney+ Korea.

Shotaro Mamiya cast in Fuji TV drama “Nanba MG5”

Shotaro Mamiya is cast in Fuji TV live-action drama series “Nanba MG5.” The drama series is based on manga series “Nanba MG5” by Toshio Ozawa. In the drama series, Shotaro Mamiya will play Tsuyoshi Nanba. He is known as a delinquent and comes from a family of delinquents, but what he really wants is to become a good student.

“Nanba MG5” first airs April, 2022 in Japan.

Ji Sung, Seo Ji-Hye, & Lee Soo-Kyung cast in tvN drama “Adamas”

Ji Sung, Seo Ji-Hye, and Lee Soo-Kyung are cast in tvN drama series “Adamas” (working title). Ji Sung will play twin brothers in the drama series. The original mystery-themed screenplay will have the twin brothers learning that their birth father was framed for murdering their step-father. Seo Ji-Hye will play Eun Hye-Soo. She married into a conglomerate family and helps one of the brothers. Lee Soo-Kyung will play Reporter Kim Seo-Hee.

“Adamas” will air sometime in the second half of this year.

First teaser trailer added for MBC drama series “Tomorrow” (literal title) starring Kim Hee-Seon & Ro Woon. The teaser trailer features Kim Hee-Seon stating (0:01) “Listen carefully, Choi Joon-Woong. First script reading for SBS drama “A Business Proposal”

Here’s photos from the first script reading for SBS drama series “A Business Proposal” starring Ahn Hyo-Seop & Kim Se-Jeong. The first script reading took place during summer, 2021 in South Korea. The first script reading was attended by cast members Ahn Hyo-Seop, Kim Se-Jeong, Kim Min-Kyu, Seol In-ALee Deok-HwaKim Hyun-Sook, Kim Kwang-Kyu, Jung Young-Joo, Choi Byung-Chan (Victon), director Park Sun-Ho, screenwriter Han Sul-Hee, and screenwriter Hong Bo-Hee. The drama series is based on web novel “Sanae Matsun” by Hae Hwa and depicts an office romance between CEO Kang Tae-Mu (Ahn Hyo-Seop) and Shin Ha-Ri (Kim Se-Jeong).

“A Business Proposal” will first air February, 2022 (takes over SBS’ Monday & Tuesday 10:00 PM time slot following the conclusion of “Our Beloved Summer“).

Teaser trailer for Netflix drama “Money Heist”

English subtitled teaser trailer added for Netflix drama series “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” starring Yoo Ji-Tae, Kim Yunjin, Park Hae-Soo, & Jun Jong-Seo. The drama series is a remake of Spanish television series “La casa de papel” (“Money Heist”). Title for the drama series previously went under the working title of “The House of Paper,” before picking up its official English title of “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area.” The teaser trailer shows Yoo Ji-Tae as criminal mastermind The Professor. He plans for his next big heist and then the rest of the main cast are introduced.

“Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” will be available to stream sometime this year on Netflix.

Shunsuke Michieda cast in NTV drama “The Files of Young Kindaichi 5”

Shunsuke Michieda is cast in NTV live-action drama series “The Files of Young Kindaichi 5.” The drama series is based on manga series “Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo” by written by Shin Kibayashi. The previous series of “Young Kindaichi” aired in 2014 on NTV, with Ryosuke Yamada playing the title character in “The Files of Young Kindaichi Neo.” In “The Files of Young Kindaichi 5,” Shunsuke Michieda will play teen private detective Hajime Kindaichi.

“The Files of Young Kindaichi 5” will first air  April, 2022 in Japan.
