Ryohei Suzuki cast in movie “City Hunter”

Ryohei Suzuki is cast in Netflix live-action film “City Hunter.” The film is based on manga series “City Hunter” by Tsukasa Hojo. 2011 SBS drama series “City Hunter ,” starring Lee Min-Ho & Park Min-Young, is also based on the same manga series. The live-action movie version is set in the Shinjuku ward of Tokyo and filming also took place there. Ryohei Suzuki will play Ryo Saeba. He loves beautiful women, but he also works as a skilled sweeper.

“City Hunter” will be available to stream sometime in 2024 via Netflix.

Movie is based 2019 novel “Daimyo Tousan” by Jiro Asada (“When the Last Sword Is Drawn“) and directed by Tetsu Maeda (“A Banana? At This Time of Night?“). Teaser trailer #3 added for tvN drama series “Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist 2” starring Kim Min-Jae & Kim Hyang-Gi. Teaser trailer #3 introduces new characters played by Woo Da-Vi and Kang Young-Seok. Around the 2 second mark, Woo Da-Vi introduces herself as “I’m Yoo Se-Poong’s first love” and around the 7 second mark Kang Young-Seok asks “Are you really qualified as a physician?” Below is the first teaser poster for the drama series.

Teaser poster and air date set for tvN drama series “Crash Course in Romance” starring Jeon Do-Yeon and Jung Kyoung-Ho. The drama series is now set to first air January 14, 2023 in South Korea. “Crash Course in Romance” will air in tvN’s Saturday and Sunday 9 PM time slot after the conclusion of “Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow.” The screenplay for “Crash Course in Romance” tells a bittersweet romance story between side dish store owner Nam Haeng-Sun (Jeon Do-Yeo) and popular math instructor Choi Chi-Yeol (Jung Kyoung-Ho).

Main trailer & poster for movie “My Happy Marriage”

Main trailer and poster added for movie “My Happy Marriage” starring Ren Meguro & Mio Imada. The fantasy-romance film is based on novel “Watashi no Shiawasena Kekkon” by Akumi Agitogi, scripted by Tomoe Kanno (“The Asadas!“) and directed by Ayuko Tsukahara (“Cafe Funiculi Funicula“). The movie’s theme song has also been revealed as “Tapestry” by boy band Snow Man. Lead actor Ren Meguro is a member of Snow Man and the theme song is played during the main trailer. Caption on the poster states “I wished to live with her as long as possible.

Lee Yeon-Hee, Hong Jong-Hyun cast in Disney+ drama “Race”

Lee Yeon-Hee, Hong Jong-Hyun, Moon So-Ri, & U-Know Yunho are cast in Disney+ drama series “Race.” The drama series is scripted by Kim Ru-Ri (“Hyena“) and directed by Lee Dong-Yoon (“She Would Never Know“). “Race” is setup as an office drama series set at a PR company. Lee Yeon-Hee will play Park Yoon-Zo. She gets a job at a PR company where her friend Ryu Jae-Min (Hong Jong-Hyun) works. Moon So-Ri will play Park Yoon-Zo’s boss Ku Yi-Jung and U-Know Yunho will play company CEO Seo Dong-Hoon.

“Race” first airs sometime during the first half of 2023 in South Korea.

Yuki Amami cast in movie “Emergency Interrogation Room: The Final”

Yuki Amami is cast in movie “Emergency Interrogation Room: The Final.” The film is a sequel to TV Asahi drama series “Emergency Interrogation Room,” that has aired for 4 seasons, and presumably the final installment in the series. Also cast for the movie are series regulars Tetsushi Tanaka, Mokomichi Hayami, Kosuke Suzuki, Koji Ookura, Muga Tsukaji, Denden, and Fumiyo Kohinata. The film will revolve around the special police interrogation team at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. They interrogate and conduct psychological warfare with suspects.

“Emergency Interrogation Room: The Final” will be released  June 16, 2023 in Japan.

Bae Suzy & Yang Se-Jong cast in Netflix drama “Lee Doo-Na!”

Bae Suzy & Yang Se-Jong  are cast in new Netflix drama series “Lee Doo-Na!” For actor Yang Se-Jong, “Lee Doo-Na!” will be his first acting role since he was discharged from the South Korean military service on November 15, 2021. He first enlisted in the mlitary on May 12, 2020. The screenplay for the drama series is based on on webcomic “Lee Doo-Na!” by Min Song-Ah. In “Lee Doo-Na!,” Bae Suzy will play title character Lee Doo-Na. She was once the most popular member of an idol group, but suddenly retired and lives in a share house. Yang Se-Jon plays Lee Won-Joon. He moves into the same share house and makes a connection Lee Doo-Na.

Release date for “Lee Doo-Na!” has not yet been revealed.

Main trailer and poster added for TVING drama series “Island” starring Kim Nam-Gil, Lee Da-Hee, and Cha Eun-Woo. Drama series is based on webcomic “Island” written by Yoon In-Wan. The main trailer starts off with veteran actress Ko Du-Shim starting “Since a long time ago, the evil spirits of the world were captured and were kept in Tamna.” Tamna was a state based on Jeju Island in ancient times. Meanwhile, caption on the main poster states “Special beings against evil.”

“Island” will be released December 30, 2022 in South Korea.
