Lead cast announced for KBS1 drama “Our Happy Good Day”

Yoon Jong-Hoon, Uhm Hyun-Kyung, Shin Jung-Yun, and Yoon Da-Young are cast in KBS1 weekday evening drama series “Our Happy Good Day” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Lee Jae-Sang (“Once Again“). Script for “Our Happy Good Day” is a family drama that is filled with stories of diverse generations, each striving to be the main character in their lives.

“Our Happy Good Day” will first air March, 2026 in South Korea (follows “Marie and Her Three Daddies” in KBS1’s Monday through Friday 8:30 PM time slot).

Mei Hata and Mirai Shida cast in TV Asahi drama “Error”

Mei Hata and Mirai Shida are cast in TV Asahi drama series “Error.” The original screenplay written by Sakiko Yashige depicts an unexpected friendship between two women. There are lies, secrets, and betrayals that take place between them. Mei Hata plays Yume Nakata. She tried to save a woman from taking her own life, but learned that she died that night. Two months later she meets Mio Osako, who is the daughter of that woman who died.

“Error” will first air April 12, 2026 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for movie “New Group”

First teaser trailer added for movie “New Group” starring Anna Yamada, Yuzu Aoki, and Pierre Taki. The quirky horror film is set at a high school where conformity is emphasized. A student begins to form a pyramid in the schoolyard, by getting on all fours, and soon other students follow. As the administration encourages other students to join, two students try escape as things get worse around them.

“New Group” will be released June 12, 2026 in Japan.

Lead cast announced for Coupang Play drama “Absolute Value of Romance”

Kim Hyang-Gi, Cha Hak-Yeon, Kim Jae-Hyun, Sohn Jeong-Hyuck, and Kim Dong-Kyu are cast in Coupang Play drama series “Absolute Value of Romance” (literal title). The original screenplay will have Kim Hyang-Gi play high school student Yeo Ui-Ju. At night, she moonlights as a romance writer and her main characters are of handsome teachers. She then meets the handsome teachers in real life.

“Absolute Value of Romance” will premiere April, 2026 in South Korea.

Kaho cast in NHK drama series “The Diary of a Novelist”

Kaho is cast for the lead role in NHK drama series “The Diary of a Novelist.” Also cast for the drama series are Sylvia Grab, Itsuji Itao, Satoru Matsuo, and Yuta Hayashi. The suspense human drama will revolve around a diary that was left behind by a late writer and the secret actions taken by two women over that diary. Kaho will play Megumi Eto, who is an editor.

“The Diary of a Novelist” will first air March 8, 2026 in Japan.

Main trailer and poster for movie “Pavane”

Main trailer and poster added for Netflix distributed movie “Pavane” starring Ko Ah-Sung, Byun Yo-Han, and Moon Sang-Min. The main poster depicts the three lead characters Mi-Jung (Ko Ah-Sung), Yo-Han (Byun Yo-Han), and Kyeong-Rok (Moon Sang-Min) as if they are taking a selfie together and the moment is a precious one that will never come back. Movie is based on 2009 novel “Jookeun Wangnyeoreul Wihan Pavane” by Park Min-Kyu and directed by Lee Jong-Pil (“Samjin Company English Class“).

“Pavane” will be available to stream from February 20, 2026.

Teaser trailer and teaser poster added for movie “Sheep In The Box” starring Haruka Ayase & Daigo. Movie is written and directed by Hirokazu Koreeda (“Nobody Knows“). Meanwhile, child actor Rimu Kuwaki is cast to play a humanoid that is adopted by Otone Komoto (Haruka Ayase) and Kensuke Komoto (Daigo). He landed the role after taking part in an audition involving 200 other applicants. Caption in the teaser trailer states at the 24 second mark “A couple lost their son and adopted a humanoid robot.”

“Sheep In The Box” is now set for release May 29, 2026 in Japan.

Kim Hye-Soo, Cho Yeo-Jeong, Kim Ji-Hoon, and Kim Jae-Chul are cast in Coupang Play drama series “It’s Not A Matter Of Infidelity Right Now” (literal title). The black comedy is directed by Lee Chang-Hee (“A Killer Paradox“). Also, Director Hwang Dong-Hyuk (Squid Game) participates in the drama series both as showrunner and producer. The screenplay revolves around two couples who become intertwined by secrets. The first script reading already took place.

“It’s Not A Matter Of Infidelity Right Now” will air sometime this year in South Korea.
