Ep.1 trailer for JTBC drama “King the Land”

Ep.1 trailer added for JTBC drama series “King the Land” starring Lee Joon-Ho & Lim Yoon-A. The drama series is set at King Hotel where Lee Joon-Ho as Gu Won is a chaebol heir of the hotel and Lim Yoon-A as Cheon Sa-Rang works as an employee. Ep.1 trailer begins with Lim Yoon-A stating “I got accepted. I got accepted to the King Hotel! Whatever is asked of me, I’ll do my best.” Lee Joon-Ho then introduces himself as “I’m intern Gu Won.”

“King the Land” first airs June 17, 2023 in South Korea.

Mai Fukagawa, Atsuko Maeda, & Anna Ishii cast in NTV drama “Kanojotachi no Hanzai”

Mai FukagawaAtsuko Maeda, and Anna Ishii are cast in NTV-YTV drama series “Kanojotachi no Hanzai.” The drama series is based on 2019 novel “Kanojotachi no Hanzai” by Dai Yokozeki (“Marriage Is Difficult For A Ninja“). In “Kanojotachi no Hanzai,” Mai Fukagawa will play lead character Mayumi Himura. Along with Mayumi Himura and two other women played by Atsuko Maeda, and Anna Ishii, a missing woman’s case changes their lives.

“Kanojotachi no Hanzai” first airs July 20, 2023 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Thursday midnight time slot after “The Winning Script“).

Ha-Joon cast in KBS2 drama “Self-Reliance of Hyo-Sim’s Family”

Actor Ha-Joon is cast in KBS2 drama series “Self-Reliance of Hyo-Sim’s Family” (literal title) co-starring Uee. In the drama series, Ha-Joon will play lead male character Kang Tae-Ho. At an early age, Kang Tae-Ho traveled to the U.S. to study. After graduating with a master’s degree in business administration, he passed up on offers to work in the U.S. and returned to South Korea. He returned to South Korea for a specific reason. In Korea, he goes to a gym regularly and meets a fitness trainer, Lee Hyo-Sim (Uee), there.

“Self-Reliance of Hyo-Sim’s Family” first airs September, 2023 (takes over KBS2’s Saturday & Sunday 8PM time slot after “The Real Has Come“).

Momoko Tanabe and Yuta Koseki are cast in NTV live-action drama series “The Neighbor Of Healing Has A Secret.” The drama series is based on  manga series “Iyashi no Otonari-san ni wa Himitsu ga Aru” by Natsuko Umezawa. In “The Neighbor Of Healing Has A Secret,” Momoko Tanabe plays Fujiko Yomogida. Yuta Koseki will play Soma Nishina. He is the new neighbor of Fujiko Yomogida and he has a secret.

Yui Aragaki cast in movie “Ikoku Nikki”

Yui Aragaki is cast in live-action film “Ikoku Nikki.” Movie is based on manga series “Ikoku Nikki” by Tomoko Yamashita (“The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window“) and directed by Natsuki Seta (“Georama Boy Panorama Girl“). In movie “Ikoku Nikki,” Yui Aragaki will play Makio Kodai. She is an introverted 35-year-old novelist. At the funeral for her sibling, she decides to live with her 15-year-old niece who lost her parents in a car accident.

“Ikoku Nikki” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Ryo Narita & Fuka Koshiba cast in Fuji TV drama “The Expert of Changing Jobs”

Ryo Narita & Fuka Koshiba are cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama series “The Expert of Changing Jobs.” The drama series is based on novel “Tenshoku no Maousama” by Mio Nukaga. The two leads will play two employees at a temp agency that also advises its clients on career changes. Fuka Koshiba will play Chiharu Hitsujitani. She recently went through a career change herself from a big advertising agency to working at her aunt’s temp agency. Ryo Narita will play Arashi Kurusu. He is a respected career adviser and has the nickname The Devil of Changing Jobs.

Still images & release date set for Disney+ drama “Shadow Detective 2”

First still images and release date set for Disney+ drama series “Shadow Detective 2” starring Lee Sung-Min & Kyung Soo-Jin. The still images are of Lee Sung-Min, Kyung Soo-Jin, Lee Hak-Joo, Jung Jin-Young, and Kim Shin-Rok. Jung Jin-Young, and Kim Shin-Rok will play new characters and they did not appear in the first season of “Shadow Detective.” Jung Jin-Young will play Choi Do-Hyung. He is a retired detective and respected by police officers. Kim Shin-Rok will play Yeon Joo-Hyun. She leads the women & juvenile affairs section in the police department. Kim Taek-Rok (Lee Sung-Min) gets transferred to the division.

“Shadow Detective 2” will be available to stream from July, 2023.
