Natsuki Deguchi & Kaito Sakura cast in WOWOW drama “Ao Haru Ride”

Natsuki Deguchi & Kaito Sakura are cast in WOWOW live-action drama series “Ao Haru Ride” which will consist of two seasons. “Ao Haru Ride” is based on manga series “Ao Haru Ride” by Io Sakisaka. 2014 movie “Blue Spring Ride,” starring Tsubasa Honda & Masahiro Higashide, is also based on the same manga series. The story for “Ao Haru Ride” will follow two high school students who meet again after three years. The boy though has a different last name.

“Ao Haru Ride Season 1” will consist of 8 episodes and air this autumn in Japan.

Ko Ah-Sung & Chang Ryul cast in TVING drama “Chunhwa Love Story”

Ko Ah-Sung & Chang Ryul are cast in TVING drama series “Chunhwa Love Story” (literal title). The original screenplay is written by Seo Eun-Jung (“So Not Worth It“) and directed by Lee Gwang-Young (“Call It Love“). Setting for the screenplay is set in historical times and in the fictional country of Dongbangguk. Ko Ah-Sung will play Princess Hwari, who is in search of a husband for herself. Chang Ryul will play Choi Hwan. He is the first person of the potential suitors for the princess.

“Chunhwa Love Story” will be available to stream sometime next year.

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Concrete Utopia” starring Lee Byung-Hun, Park Seo-Joon, & Park Bo-Young. The disaster film is based on webcomic “Yukwaehan Yiwoot” by Kim Soong-Nyoong. The teaser trailer begins with Lee Byung-Hun’s stating “I felt that this apartment was chosen.” Captions on the teaser poster and in the teaser trailer states “Everything collapsed except our apartment.”

“Concrete Utopia” is now set for release August, 2023.

Teaser trailer and poster for movie “Undercurrent” starring Yoko Maki, Arata Iura, & Lily Franky. Movie is based on manga series “Undercurrent” by Tetsuya Toyoda and directed by Rikiya Imaizumi (“Little Nights, Little Love“). Caption on the teaser poster states “Lying to live is a sin?” The film revolves around a wife (Yoko Maki) and a private detective (Lily Franky) looking into the disappearance of her husband. A man played by Arata Iura enters her life at that time.

Mizuki Inoue & Atsuhiro Inukai are cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Nare no Hate no Bokura.” The drama series is based on manga series “Nare no Hate no Bokura” by Yae Utsumi. Story for “Nare no Hate no Bokura” will be set an elementary school reunion. Mikio Yumesaki (Atsuhiro Inukai) begins a cruel experiment there by confining his former classmates over a 3 day period.

“Nare no Hate no Bokura” will first air June 27, 2023 in Japan.

Cha Eun-Woo cast in drama “Wonderful World”

Cha Eun-Woo is cast in drama series “Wonderful World” starring Kim Nam-Joo. In the drama series which is setup as an emotional healing thriller, Cha Eun-Woo will play Kwon Sun-Yool. He is a mysterious figure. He dropped out of medical school and chose to live a rough life. He is also in deep grief from a sense of loss. He meets Eun Soo-Hyun (Kim Nam-Joo) and they help to heal other other’s wound. Actor Kim Kang-Woo is also considering an offer to play a role in the drama series.

“Wonderful World” will first air sometime in the first half of 2024 in South Korea.

Keiko Kitagawa & Riho Yoshioka are cast in WOWOW drama series “Rakujitsu.” The drama series is based on 2019 novel “Rakujitsu” by Kanae Minato (“Confessions“), screenplay adaptation by Eriko Shinozaki (“The Black Swindler“), and directed by Eiji Uchida (“Offbeat Cops“). The mystery drama series will have Keiko Kitagawa play movie director Kaori Hasebe and Riho Yoshioka play screenwriter Chihiro Kai. The two main characters work together on a movie based on a family murder case that took place 15 years ago.

“Rakujitsu” consists of 4 episodes and will air September, 2023 in Japan.

The story for “Pyramid Game” is set at an all girls’ high school where a pyramid game takes place that makes one student the target of school bullying. Bona will play a transfer student who becomes the next target.
