Teaser trailer for MBC drama “My Dearest”

Teaser trailer added for MBC drama series “My Dearest” starring Namkoong Min & Ahn Eun-Jin. The drama series is set during the Joseon period in the 17th century and features a love story during a turbulent time. The teaser trailer has Namkoong Min stating at the 12 second mark “What they want most is for the King of Joseon to bow his head himself” and at the 27 second mark “I swear to the moonlight. This time, wherever you are, I will go to meet you.”

“My Dearest” first airs August 4, 2023 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer for ENA drama “Longing for You”

Teaser trailer added for ENA-Genie TV drama series “Longing for You” starring Na In-Woo, Kim Ji-Eun, & Kwon Yool. The murder mystery drama series centers around Detective Oh Jin-Sung (Na In-Woo) who investigates a serial murder case and the murder of his younger brother Oh Jin-Woo (Ren). The teaser trailer begins with Detective Oh Jin-Sung and his younger brother Oh Jin-Woo enjoying their time together. This changes when a murder takes place in a seaside town where the brothers live. Younger brother Oh Jin-Woo becomes a suspect in the murder. Around the 25 second mark, Na In-Woo states “I’m going to the end.” Captions in the teaser states (0:17) “My younger brother became a suspect,” (0:21) “From that day it was like Hell.”

“Longing for You” will first air July 26, 2023 in South Korea (takes over ENA’s Wednesday & Thursday 9PM time slot after “Battle for Happiness“).

Ro Woon & Cho Yi-Hyun cast in KBS2 drama “Wedding Battle”

Ro Woon & Cho Yi-Hyun are cast in KBS2 drama series “Wedding Battle” (literal title). The drama series is set during the Joseon period and is a comedy/melodrama. Screenplay is written by Ha Soo-Jin (“Sell Your Haunted House“). For “Wedding Battle,” in which Ro Woon and Cho Yi-Hyun act together for the first time, they will play two people who come together from unusual situations to work as matchmakers.

“Wedding Battle” will first air October, 2023 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Monday & Tuesday 9:50 PM time slot after “Pure Boxer.”).

Main trailer for ENA drama “Not Others”

Main trailer added for ENA drama series “Not Others” starring Jeon Hye-Jin & Sooyoung. The drama series revolves around the relationship of a careless mother (Jeon Hye-Jin) and her police officer daughter (Sooyoung) who live together. The trailer begins with Sooyoung stating “My mom gave birth to me when she a high school student.” Captions in the trailer states (0:09) “Childish mother and cool daughter,” (0:13) “Chaotic living together,” (0:41) “And their push and pull and love,” (0:52) “Should I live the rest of my life as a stranger?”

Kanata Hongo & Kana Osawa cast in TV Tokyo “Mei no Mei”

Kanata Hongo and Kana Osawa are cast in TV Tokyo drama series “Mei no Mei.” The drama series features an original screenplay by Yasuhiro Ogawa and directed by Yasuhiko Shimizu & Ryoma Ouchida. Both of the directors previously worked together in 2020 Fuji TV drama series “Pension: Love Is Pink.” For “Mei no Mei,” Kanata Hongo will play 32 year old Ozu who was born and raised in Tokyo. After his sister and his brother-in-law die in a car accident, he decides to temporarily move in with his niece, played by Kana Osawa, in Fukushima Prefecture.

“Mei no Mei” first airs September 7, 2023 in Japan.

Rie Miyazawa cast in movie “Tsuki”

Rie Miyazawa is cast for the lead role in movie “Tsuki.” Also cast for the film are Hayato Isomura, Fumi Nikaido, Joe Odagiri, Eri Nagai, Hirota Otsuka, Hideyuki Kasahara, Yuka Itaya, Morooka Moro, Shingo Tsurumi, Hideko Hara, & Atsuko Takahata. The movie is based on 2017 novel “Tsuki” by Yo Hemmi and directed by Yuya Ishii (“The Great Passage“). For the movie “Tsuki,” Rie Miyazawa will play Yoko Dojima. She begins to work at a facility for the severely disabled.

“Tsuki” will be released October 13, 2023 in Japan.
