First teaser trailer and poster for JTBC drama series “Frankly Speaking” starring Ko Kyoung-Pyo. The drama series will tell a story of a news announcer played by Ko Kyoung-Pyo, who is about to be selected as the next main news anchorman. Narration in the teaser states “Hello everyone. This is JBC noon news. I will say nothing but the truth from my heart. I can’t say things that I don’t mean. Does this make sense?”

“Frankly Speaking” first airs May, 2024 in South Korea (slots into JTBC’s Wednesday & Thursday 9:50 PM period that was previously held by “Queen of Divorce“).

First still image & air date for tvN drama “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon”

First still image for upcoming tvN drama series “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” starring Jung Ryeo-Won and Wi Ha-Joon. The romance drama series is set at a private academy where Jung Ryeo-Won plays Instructor Seo Hye-Jin and Wi Ha-Joon plays Instructor Lee Joon-Ho, who was once Seo Hye-Jin’s student. The ep.1 air date for the drama series has also been set for May 11, 2024 in tvN’s Saturday & Sunday 9:20 PM time slot after “Queen Of Tears” finishes. Originally, tvN spin-off drama series “Resident Playbook” was supposed to air from May 11, 2024, but that drama series has been postponed due to the current strike by doctors protesting the Korean government’s push to increase medical school admissions. The strike was first started by medical interns and residents, which “Resident Playbook” will focus on.

The trailer begins with Han Hyo-Joo as CEO Yoon Ja-Yoo stating about her company’s new meat product “Bleeding food is now a thing of the past forever. Trailer for movie “Confession”

Trailer added for suspense-thriller film “Confession” starring Toma Ikuta and Yang Ik-June. Movie is based on manga series “Kokuhaku: Confession” by Nobuyuki Fukumoto (“Kaiji“) and directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita (“My Back Page“) In addition, actress Nao has been cast to play character Sayuri Nishida. Her character died in a mountain climbing accident 16 years ago. The movie’s theme song is also featured in the trailer, which is played by rock band Maximum the Hormone. The title of the theme song has not yet been revealed.

“Confession” will be released May 31, 2024 in Japan.

Kazunari Ninomiya cast in TBS drama “Black Forceps Season 2”

Kazunari Ninomiya is cast in TBS sequel drama series “Black Forceps Season 2.” The first season, originally aired in 2018 on TBS, featured Kazunari Ninomiya playing highly skilled surgeon Seishiro Tokai. The drama series is based on 2007 novel “Black Pean 1988” by Takeru Kaido (“Glory of Team Batista“). 

“Black Forceps Season 2” first airs July, 2024 in Japan (takes over TBS’ Friday 9PM time slot after “Antihero“).

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Missing” starring Satomi Ishihara and Tomoya Nakamura. Movie is written and directed by Keisuke Yoshida (“Cafe Isobe“). The main trailer begins with Satomi Ishihara stating “There must be some very harsh words written again.” In the movie, Satomi Ishihara plays Saori. Her 3 year old daughter went missing, while the mother attended a concert.

Trailer and poster added for movie “Who Were We?” starring Nana Komatsu & Ryuhei Matsuda. The film takes place on Sado Island, where two people who claim to have lost their memories meet and become attracted to each other. Tetsuya Tomina, who wrote and directed the film, became inspired to make the movie after seeing graves of unidentified people on Sado Island.

The romantic-comedy drama series is set during the Joseon period, with Suho playing Crown Prince Yi Gun and Hong Ye-Ji a woman named Choi Myeong-Yoon.
