Choi Si-Won & Jung In-Sun cast in TV Chosun drama “DNA Lover”

Choi Si-Won, Jung In-Sun, Lee Tae-Hwan, & Jung Eugene are cast in TV Chosun drama series “DNA Lover.” The romantic-comedy drama series is scripted by Jung Soo-Mi (“Born Again“) and directed by Sung Chi-Wook (“Tomorrow“). For actor Lee Tae-Hwan, “DNA Lover” marks his return to acting after being discharged from the military on December 26, 2023.

“DNA Lover” will first air June, 2024 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer for JTBC drama “The Atypical Family”

First teaser trailer added for JTBC drama series “The Atypical Family” starring Jang Ki-Yong & Chun Woo-Hee. The fantasy-romance drama series revolves around a family that have supernatural powers, but currently are unable to use them for different reasons. Chun Woo-Hee plays a woman comes into the family’s lives. The teaser trailer states with Chun Woo-Hee as Do Da-Hae stating “There’s a secret in that family. Their secret is that they are family with supernatural powers, but they lost their powers due to modern problems. Don’t you want to go back to the time when you were happy?”

“The Atypical Family” first airs May 4, 2024 in South Korea.

Ryusei Onishi cast in movie “We Don’t Know Love Yet”

Ryusei Onishi is cast for the lead role and Airu Kubozuka, Nagisa Saito, Riko, Soya Igari, and Sara Shida are also cast in teen-romance live-action film “We Don’t Know Love Yet.” Movie is based on manga series “Koi wo Shiranai Bokutachi wa” by Minami Mizuno and directed by Mai Sakai. Ryusei Onishi will play Eiji Aihara. He is a first year high school students, surrounded by friends, and experiences true love.

“We Don’t Know Love Yet” will be released August 23, 2024 in Japan.

Poster visual and trailer added for movie “Worlds Apart”

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Worlds Apart” starring Yui Aragaki and Ikoi Hayase. The film is based on manga series “Ikoku Nikki” by Tomoko Yamashita (“The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window“) and directed by Natsuki Seta (“Georama Boy Panorama Girl“). The trailer also features the track “Yoake no Anata e” by singer-songwriter Toaka. Meanwhile, the poster features Yui Aragaki as 35-year-old Makio Kodai and Ikoi Hayase as her 15-year-old niece Asa Takumi. The two people, who do not have much in common, begin to live together after the death of Asa Takumi’s parents. Caption on the poster states “I learned that even if we don’t understand each other, we can still become close with each other.”   

“Worlds Apart” will be released June 7, 2024 in Japan.

Group poster and air date for JTBC drama series “Although I Am Not a Hero” (literal title) starring Jang Ki-Yong & Chun Woo-Hee. The poster features Chun Woo-Hee as Do Da-Hee standing in the forefront-bottom and Jang Ki-Yong as Bok Gwi-Joo peering out of the first window on the top left. Sol Kyung-Gu & Park Eun-Bin, cast in drama “Hyper Knife”

Sol Kyung-Gu, Park Eun-Bin, Park Byung-Eun, and Yoon Chan-Young are cast in new drama series “Hyper Knife.” The drama series is setup as a medical-crime-thriller. Sol Kyung-Gu will play Deok-Hee, who is the best neurosurgeon in the world. Park Eun-Bin will play genius doctor Se-Ok. Due to a conflict with Deok-Hee, Se-Ok’s career plummeted to the point that she now works as a shadow doctor in illegal operation facility.

Air date and broadcast/OTT platform for the drama series has not yet been decided.

Kim Da-Mi and Son Suk-Ku cast in Disney+ drama “Nine Puzzles”

Kim Da-Mi and Son Suk-Ku are cast in Disney+ drama series “Nine Puzzles.” The drama series will revolve around a serial murder case with Kim Da-Mi playing criminal profiler Yi-Na and Son Suk-Ku playing violent crime team detective Han-Saem. About 10 years ago, Yi-Na’s uncle was a victim in a serial murder case and she was the only witness. At that time, Detective Han Saem was convinced that Yi-Na was culprit. Now, 10 years later they work together on a serial murder case that has started again.

“Nine Puzzles” will be available to stream 2025.
