Lead cast announced for KBS2 drama “Kick Kick Kick Kick.”

Ji Jin-Hee, Lee Kyoo-Hyung, Baek Ji-Won, and Lee Min-Jae are cast in KBS2 drama series “Kick Kick Kick Kick.” The comedy-office drama series will revolve around production company Kick Kick Kick Kick Company. The founders of the company will be play by Ji Jin-Hee and Lee Kyoo-Hyung. Employees at the production company will be play Baek Ji-Won and Lee Min-Jae.

“Kick Kick Kick Kick” will first air February 5, 2025 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Wednesday and Thursday 9:50 PM time slot after “Who Is She“).

Main trailer for ENA drama “Namib”

Main trailer added for ENA drama series “Namib” starring Ko Hyun-Jung and Ryeo Un. Drama series features Ko Hyun-Jung playing star producer Kang Soo-Hyun and Ryeo Un playing idol trainee Yoo Jin-Woo. The main trailer beings with Ko Hyun-Jung asking “Dismissal? … Me?” Captions in the main trailer states (0:07) “Fired star producer,” (0:15) “Released long-term trainee,” (0:17) “People who lost their light,” (0:35) “Try to be a star again,” (0:49) “Each other’s life risking contract,” (0:55) “Place where the desert and ocean meet and become a dream.”

“Namib” first airs December 23, 2024 in South Korea.

Park Bo-Young and Jin Young cast in tvN drama “Mi-Ji’s Seoul”

Park Bo-Young and Jin Young are cast in tvN drama series “Mi-Ji’s Seoul” (literal title). Drama series is scripted by Lee Kang (“Youth of May“) and directed by Park Shin-Woo (“It’s Okay to Not Be Okay“). The story features Park Bo-Young playing twin sisters Yoo Mi-Ji and Yoo Mi-Rae. They look identical, but are very different in every other aspect. Jin Young will play Lee Ho-Su. He is a lawyer and tries very hard to live a normal life.

“Mi-Ji’s Seoul” will first air sometime during the first half of 2025 in South Korea.

IU and Byeon Woo-Seok cast in MBC drama “21st Century Prince’s Wife”

IU and Byeon Woo-Seok are cast in MBC drama series “21st Century Prince’s Wife” (working & literal title). The screenplay, written by Yoo Ah-In (not the actor), won the 2022 MBC Drama Script Contest. The romance drama series is set sometime in the 21st century with South Korea being ruled by a constitutional monarchy. IU plays Seong Hee-Ju. Although her family runs the largest chaebol group in the country, she sets her sight on becoming part of the royal family. Byeon Woo-Seok will play Prince Yian. He is the second son the King and becomes involved with Seong Hee-Ju.

“21st Century Prince’s Wife” will air sometime in the second half of 2025.

Kim Moo-Yul is cast in drama “True Education”

Kim Moo-Yul is cast in drama series “True Education” (literal title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Chamkyoyook” by Chae Yong-Taek and directed by Hong Jong-Chan (“Mr. Plankton“). In the drama series, a new government organization is formed called Teacher’s Rights Protection Agency. Kim Moo-Yul will play Na Hwa-Jin, who is a member of the that agency. He is assigned to problematic schools and goes there as a supervisor, but can use any method to discipline the students.

“True Education” is scheduled to start filming in the first half of next year.

Teaser trailer for SBS drama “Love Scout”

First teaser trailer added for SBS drama series “Love Scout” starring Han Ji-Min and Lee Joon-Hyuk. The first teaser trailer shows the two main characters of Han Ji-Min as CEO Kang Ji-Yoon and her secretary Yoo Eun-Ho played by Lee Joon-Hyuk. They are leaving for the day and about to go their separate ways. Dialogue in the teaser goes (0:07) Han Ji-Min “Take care,” (0:09) Lee Joon-Hyuk “See you tomorrow,” (1:10) Lee Joon-Hyuk “Would you like to leave work together?”

“Love Scout” first airs January 3, 2025 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Friday and Saturday 10PM time slot after “The Fiery Priest 2“).

Teaser trailer and teaser posters for tvN drama “The Queen Who Crowns”

Teaser trailer and teaser posters added for tvN drama series “The Queen Who Crowns” starring Cha Joo-Young and Lee Hyun-Wook. The upcoming 12 episode drama series is set during the Goryeo period (918–1392). Caption on the first teaser poster states “I dreamed of a new world” and caption on the second teaser poster states “Woman who dreamed of a new world.” The teaser trailer also has Cha Joo-Young as Queen Wongyeong stating “I dreamed of a new world.”

“The Queen Who Crowns” is now set to first air January 6, 2025 in South Korea (follows “Parole Examiner Lee” in tvN’s Monday and Tuesday 8:50 PM time slot”).

Seohyun & TaecYeon cast in KBS2 drama “I Took the Male Lead’s First Night”

Seohyun and TaecYeon are cast for lead roles KBS2 drama series “I Took the Male Lead’s First Night” (literal title). Also cast for major supporting character roles are Kwon Han-Sol, Seo Bum-June, and Ji Hye-Won. This marks the second recent pairing of a member of Girls’ Generation (Seohyun) and 2PM (TaecYeon) in a drama series, with JTBC drama series “King the Land” featuring Lim Yoon-A and Lee Joon-Ho. The unique story of “I Took the Male Lead’s First Night” is based web novel “Namjuui Cheotnalbameul Gajeobeoryeodda” by Hwang Dotol.

“I Took the Male Lead’s First Night” will air sometime next year in South Korea.
