Preview trailer for Netflix drama “Mercy for None”

English subtitled preview trailer for Netflix drama series “Mercy for None” starring So Ji-Sub. The drama series also features actor Lee Jun-Hyuk, currently starring in popular SBS drama series “Love Scout,” playing the younger brother of the main character. The younger brother is killed by a gang organization and So Ji-Sub as older brother Nam Gi-Jun sets out for revenge. The noir action drama series is based on webcomic “Gwangjang” written by Oh Se-Hyeong.

“Mercy for None” will be available to stream sometime this year on Netflix.

Sooyoung & Gong Myung cast in tvN drama “Please Take Care of Geum-Joo”

Sooyoung and Gong Myung are cast for lead roles in tvN drama series “Please Take Care of Geum-Joo” (literal title). Also cast for major supporting character roles are Kim Sung-Ryoung, Kim Sang-Ho, and Jo Yoon-Hee. For the drama series, Sooyoung will play title character Han Geum-Joo. Her given name of Geum-Joo also means abstaining from alcohol, which comes into play when she meets her first love Seo Ui-Joon played by Gong Myung. He works in the medical field and hates alcohol. Han Geum-Joo attempts to quit drinking after being labelled an alcoholic.

“Please Take Care of Geum-Joo” will first air sometime this year in South Korea.

Choi Woo-Sik and Jung So-Min cast in SBS drama “Would You Marry Me.”

Choi Woo-Sik and Jung So-Min are cast in SBS drama series “Would You Marry Me.” The romantic-comedy drama series is scripted by Lee Ha-Na (“The Time We Were Not In Love“). Choi Woo-Sik will play lead male character Kim Woo-Joo and Jung So-Min will play lead female character Yoo Me-Ri. They pretend to be a newlywed couple, so Yoo Me-Ri can keep a newlywed home she won after she broke off her engagement.

“Would You Marry Me” will first air sometime this year.

Main trailer and poster added for Netflix drama series “Melo Movie” starring Choi Woo-Sik, Park Bo-Young, Lee Jun-Young, & Jeon So-Nee. The romance drama series revolves around the rekindled romance between film critic Go Gyeom (Choi Woo-Sik) and newcomer director Kim Mu-Bee (Park Bo-Young). Caption on the main poster states “Reunion romance of thirty-somethings who dream of a melo life.” Drama series is directed by Oh Choong-Hwan (“Hotel Del Luna“) and scripted by Lee Na-Eun (“Our Beloved Summer“).

“Melo Movie” will be available to stream February 14, 2025.

Teaser trailer added for JTBC drama series “The Art of Negotiation” (literal title) starring Lee Je-Hoon. Drama series is directed by An Pan-Seok (“The Midnight Romance in Hagwon“) and revolves around legendary M&A expert Yoon Joo-No (Lee Jo-Hoon). The teaser trailer starts off an anonymous voice that asks “What do you do?,” and from 3 second mark Lee Je-Hoon as Yoon Joo-No responds “I buy and sell. M&A is literally war. If war is fought with weapons, M&A is fought with contracts.” Captions in the teaser trailer states (0:09) “White snake returns,” (0:16) “Invisible war,” (0:24) “Sophisticated betrayal,” (0:37) “Who will take control of the negotiation?”

Lead cast announced for tvN drama “The Tyrant’s Chef”

Lim Yoon-A, Lee Chae-Min, Kang Han-Na, and Choi Gwi-Hwa are cast in tvN drama series “The Tyrant’s Chef” (literal title). The fantasy-romance drama series first cast actor Park Sung-Hoon in the lead male role of King Lee Heon, but he stepped down from his role after being involved in controversy. He uploaded an explicit image of a parody AV video of the Netflix drama series “Squid Game” onto his Instagram account on December 30, 2024. He deleted the image shortly afterwards and apologized, while stating the post was done by mistake. Actor Lee Chae-Min is now cast to play the lead male role of King Lee Heon. Lim Yoon-A will play lead female character Yeon Ji-Young. She is an accomplished chef, but she somehow finds herself transported to the Joseon era and ends up cooking for King Lee Heon.

“The Tyrant’s Chef” will air sometime this year in South Korea.

For actor Kang Tae-Oh, “The Potato Lab” is his first acting role since he finished his mandatory military service on March 19, 2024. Jang Ki-Yong & Ahn Eun-Jin are cast in SBS drama series “She Shouldn’t Have Kissed” (literal title). Story for “She Shouldn’t Have Kissed” revolves around a kiss that took place between employees at a baby products company. Jang Ki-Yong will play Kong Ji-Hyeok. He is the the team leader for a division at the baby products company. Working on his team is Ko Da-Rim played by Ahn Eun-Jin. She is a contract employee and got hired by lying that she is married and having a child. She then kisses Kong Ji-Hyeok.
