Kang Min-Hyuk to make cameo appearance in KBS2 drama series “School 2017”

Kang Min-Hyuk (‘CNBLUE’) will make a cameo appearance in ep.1 of KBS2 drama series “School 2017.” For his cameo appearance, Kang Min-Hyuk will play college student Jong-Geun. He is Eun-Ho’s (Kim Se-Jeong) first love and tries to motivate her to pick up her poor grades to enter the same prestigious university that he attends. .

Ep.1 of “School 2017” airs later tonight (July 17, 2017) in South Korea.

Krystal offered lead female role in tvN drama series “Wise Prison Life”

Krystal from idol group ‘f(x)’ has been offered the lead female role in tvN drama series “Wise Prison Life” (literal title) starring Jung Kyoung-Ho and Park Hae-Soo. Character descriptions have not yet been revealed. The drama series will be set at a prison and revolve around the inmates and staff members there. Drama series will be directed by Shin Won-Ho. He has directed popular tvN drama series “Reply 1997,” “Reply 1994” and “Reply 1988.”

“Wise Prison Life” will air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.

Here’s 3 character posters for upcoming MBC drama series “The King Loves” starring Siwan, Yoona (‘Girls’ Generation’) andHong Jong-Hyun.

Meanwhile, lead actor Siwan began his mandatory military enlistment on July 11, 2017 in South Korea. After he finishes basic training, he will be stationed with other soldiers and serve for 21 months. Siwan will be discharged on April 10, 2019.

First script reading for MBC drama series “Hospital Ship”

First script reading for MBC drama series “Hospital Ship” took place July 6, 2017 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. The first script reading included main cast members Ha Ji-Won, Kang Min-Hyuk (‘CNBLUE’), Lee Seo-Won, Kim In-Sik, Min A (‘AOA’), Kim Kwang-Kyu, Jung Kyung-Soon and Lee Han-Wi. Before the first script reading began, Director Park Jae-Bum stated “As a captain on this voyage, I will make try to make things fun and comfortable.”

For those that like fun facts, Ha Ji-Won will play a doctor for the first time in her acting career. In the drama series, Ha Ji-Won will play main character Song Eun-Jae. She is an excellent surgeon, but poor with dealing with people.

Jung Kyoung-Ho and Park Hae-Soo cast in tvN drama series “Wise Prison Life”

Jung Kyoung-Ho and Park Hae-Soo are cast in new tvN drama series “Wise Prison Life” (literal title). The drama series earlier went under the working title of just “Prison” (“Gamok”). As the title of the drama series suggests, the screenplay will revolve around life at a prison. Jung Kyoung-Ho and Park Hae-Soo will play lead roles. The exact air date for the drama series has yet to be finalized, but they are currently targeting a premier in October, with the series airing on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
