Ju Ji-Hoon & Ryoo Seung-Ryong are cast for upcoming Netflix drama series “Kingdom” co-starring Bae Doo-Na. Filming for the drama series began at the end of last month. For Ju Ji-Hoon, he will play the Crown Prince of Joseon. He investigates a mysterious epidemic and uncovers a truth that threatens the country. Ryoo Seung-Ryong will play Jo Hak-Joo. His character actually wields more power than the King.
“Kingdom” will be available to stream on Netflix sometime next year.
Lee Seung-Gi is cast for the lead male role in upcoming tvN drama series “Hwayuki” co-starring Cha Seung-Won and Oh Yeon-Seo. In the drama series, Lee Seung-Gi will play Son O-Gong. His character possesses a special power and he excels in the martial arts. He commits a major misdeed in Heaven which causes him to get kicked out and sent to Earth. While among the humans, Son O-Gong gets involved with King Wooma (Cha Seung-Won) and Jin Sun-Mi (Oh Yeon-Seo ). Son O-Gong and King Wooma then begin a journey to sweep out the demons disturbing this world. For Lee Seung-Gi, this will be his first acting role since being discharged from the military on October 31, 2017. The drama series is based on the classic Chinese novel“Journey to the West,” but set in the present day.
“Hwayuki” will first air December, 2017 in South Korea.
Kang Ji-Hwan and Kim Ok-Vin have been offered lead roles in new OCN drama series “Children of The Lesser God” (working and literal title). Both performers are currently considering their offers positively. If they both accept, they would play detectives with quite different dispositions. The male detective is logical and smart. The female detective possesses a superhuman ability with her vision. The drama series will be directed by Kang Shin-Hyo.
“Children of The Lesser God” will air sometime during the first half of 2018 in South Korea.
OCN has announced that the network will air sequel drama series “Voice 2” sometime next year in South Korea. Cast or staff members for the sequel drama series has not yet been decided. The original “Voice” drama series aired during the winter, 2017 time frame with Jang Hyuk andLee Ha-Na playing the lead characters.

First script reading for SBS drama series “Nothing to Lose” took place October 23, 2017 at SBS Ilsan Production Center in Tanhyun, South Korea. The first script reading featured main cast members including Park Eun-Bin, Yeon Woo-Jin, Dong Ha, Na Hae-Ryung (‘BESTie’) and Lee Deok-Hwa. Story for “Nothing to Lose” has Park Eun-Bin playing a judge. She tries to reveal the secret of her older brother’s death and gets help from a fellow judge played by Yeon Woo-Jin.
“Nothing to Lose” first airs November 22, 2017 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “While You Were Sleeping“).

First script reading for upcoming KBS2 drama series “Jugglers” took place October 26, 2017 at Largo Ville Resort, Kanghwa, Incheon, South Korea. Attending the first script reading were main cast members including Daniel Choi, Baek Jin-Hee, Kang Hye-Jung, Lee Won-Geun & Kim Chang-Wan. The first script reading took more than 3 hours to finish and the cast & staff stayed there for 1 night and 2 days.

Ha Yeon-Soo has been offered the lead female role in drama series “Rich Man, Poor Woman.” The drama series is a remake of 2012 Fuji TV drama series “Rich Man, Poor Woman” starring Shun Oguri and Satomi Ishihara. If Ha Yeon-Soo accepts the offer, she would play a college student who begins working at a company in the IT field. Filming for “Rich Man, Poor Woman” is scheduled to begin December, 2017 in South Korea.
