Teaser trailer for MBC drama series “Let’s Hold Hands Tightly and Watch The Sunset”

First teaser trailer added for MBC drama series “Let’s Hold Hands Tightly and Watch The Sunset” starring Han Hye-Jin and Yoon Sang-Hyun. The teaser trailer revels in its quintessential melodrama roots with lines like Yu In-Young stating around the 0:07 mark “I’ve come to steal Kim Do-Young” and around the 0:37 mark Han Hye-Jin stating with tears streaming down her face “I’ve found someone else” (when earlier scenes show her undergoing some type of CAT Scan).

“Let’s Hold Hands Tightly and Watch The Sunset” will first air March 21, 2018 in South Korea … box of tissues required.

Supporting actor Jo Min-Gi drops out of OCN drama series “Children of A Lesser God”

Supporting actor Jo Min-Gi has dropped out of upcoming OCN drama series “Children of A Lesser God.” The actor worked as an associate professor at Cheongju University for years, but the Korean media reported on February 20, 2018 that he was suspended by the university for 3 months due to sexual harassment & sexual assault claims by female students. Jo Min-Gi initially denied the claims, but more claims against Jo Min-Gi then came out overnight by present and past students. On February 21, 2018, the police announced that they have launched a formal investigation into the claims. Because of this, Jo Min-Gi and the drama series “Children of A Lesser God” have mutually agreed to part ways. All of Jo Min-Gi’s filmed scenes will be removed from the drama series. Jo Min-Gi was initially cast to play Kook Han-Joo. His character was a presidential candidate for an opposition party. Staff from the drama series is now determining whether to just remove his character or cast someone else to play the character.

“Children of A Lesser God” will now first air March 3, 2018 in South Korea. The drama series was originally scheduled to to air February 24, 2018.

Seo Kang-Joon cast in drama series “Something About Us”

Seo Kang-Joon is cast for the lead male role in drama series “Something About Us” (literal title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Woori Sai Neueun” by Lee Yun-Ji. English language version of the webcomic can be found at https://www.lezhin.com/en/comic/something_about_us/. For the drama series, Seo Kang-Joon will play the role of Han Woo-Jin. He has been best friends with a girl since high school, but their relationship changes.

 

Television network that will air the drama series has not yet been announced, but “Something About Us” will air sometime later this year in South Korea.

Second teaser trailer for movie “Cheese in the Trap”

Second teaser trailer for upcoming movie “Cheese in the Trap” starring Park Hae-Jin and Oh Yeon-Seo. In addition, here’s still images of Park Hae-Jin and Oh Yeon-Seo from the upcoming movie. For “Cheese in the Trap,” Park Hae-Jin plays Yoo Jung. He plays the same character as he did in tvN drama series “Cheese in the Trap.” His character looks like a perfect guy, but he has a dark side. Oh Yeon-Seo plays Hone Seol. She is an ordinary, but attractive university student.

“Cheese in the Trap” will be released March 14, 2018 in South Korea.

Ha Ji-Won offered lead female role in drama series “Prometheus: War of Fire”

Ha Ji-Won has been offered the lead female role in upcoming drama series “Prometheus: War of Fire.” Ju Ji-Hoon has already received an offer to play the lead male role in the drama series. Both performers are currently considering their offers. If Ha Ji-Won accepts, she will play NIS agent Chae Eun-Seo. The script has the South Korean government sending Chae Eun-Seo and Park Hoon (Ju Ji-Hoon if he accepts) to find missing North Korean nuclear scientists. The scientists disappeared in a third country. They take up the disguise as a married couple in their search. Ha Ji-Won’s younger brother Jeon Tae-Soo passed away earlier this year and “Prometheus: War of Fire” would be her first acting job since that time.

Filming for “Prometheus: War of Fire” begins May, 2018.

Ju Ji-Hoon offered lead role in new drama series “Prometheus: War of Fire”

Ju Ji-Hoon has been offered a lead role in new drama series “Prometheus: War of Fire” (literal title). Currently, Ju Ji-Hoon is considering the offer. If he accepts, Ju Ji-Hoon will play North Korean defector Park Hoon. Story for “Prometheus: War of Fire” involves the disappearance of top North Korean nuclear scientists in a third country. A race takes place among different countries to find them first. South Korea sends North Korean defector Park Hoon and NIS agent Chae Eun-Seo to find the scientists. The TV network which will air the drama series has not yet been decided. Budget for the drama series is expected to run about 30 billion won (roughly $28 million USD). Filming is scheduled to start May, 2018 and shooting will take place in 5 different countries.

Kang So-Ra offered lead role in drama series “Tale of Gyeryong Fairy”

Kang So-Ra has been offered the lead role in new drama series “Tale of Gyeryong Fairy” (literal title). If, Kang So-Ra accepts, she will play main character Sun Ok-Nam. Her character is a fairy who is stuck in this world, because her fairy clothes were taken by a man and hidden. She eventually married the man, but he died in an accident. She then waits for her husband to be reincarnated to get her fairy clothes. Sun Ok-Nam encounters two men in the present day that could be her husband, but she is not sure which one he is. She follows them to Seoul to find out. The drama series is based on webcomic “Gyeryongsunnyeojeon” by Dol Bae. tvN is currently having discussions to air the drama series, but they have not finalized an agreement.

First script reading for OCN drama series “That Man Oh Soo”

First script reading for OCN drama series “That Man Oh Soo” took place on November 27, 2017 and started around 1PM. Main cast members including Lee Jong-Hyun (‘CNBLUE’), Kim So-EunKang Tae-Oh (‘5urprise’), Park Na-YeLee Hye-Ran and Park Geun-Hyung attended. Before first script reading began, Lee Jong-Hyun stated “I hope it will be warm on the shooting set even though it is cold winter.”

“That Man Oh Soo” first airs March 5, 2018 in South Korea.
