tvN drama series “Let’s Eat 3” shortened to 14 episodes

Currently airing tvN drama series “Let’s Eat 3” has been shortened to 14 episodes from its originally planned 16 episodes. The drama series will now finish a week earlier on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 rather than Tuesday, September 4, 2018. The reason for the 2 episode reduction is because lead actor Yoon Doo-Joon will enlist in the South Korean military on August 24, 2018. The screenplay has been condensed to fit into 14 episodes, but the general story line will stay true to the original 16 episode screenplay.

Park Sun-Ho and Kim So-Hye cast in Dramax drama series “Best Chicken”

Park Sun-Ho and Kim So-Hye (ex ‘I.O.I’ member) are cast in new Dramax drama series “Best Chicken” (working & literal title). The drama series is a joint project between South Korea and Japan. Dramax is cable channel in South Korea. Filming for “Best Chicken” will begin September, 2018. In the drama series, Park Sun-Ho will play a man who works for a big company, but dreams of running a chicken restaurant. Kim So-Hye will play a woman who is a recluse.

“Best Chicken” will first air sometime toward the end of this year in South Korea.

Here’s two main posters for upcoming OCN drama series “The Guest” starring Kim Dong-Wook, Kim Jae-WookJung Eun-Chae. In addition, character teaser trailers of Kim Dong-Wook as pychic Yoon Hwa-Pyung and Kim Jae-Wook as priest Choi Yoon have been added on AsianWiki.  The drama series follows a psychic, Catholic priest and a female detective (Jung Eun-Chae) as they fight together against evil spirits.

First script reading for JTBC drama series “The Third Charm”

First script reading for JTBC drama series “The Third Charm” took place July, 2018 at JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. The script reading featured main cast members Seo Kang-Joon, Esom, Yang Dong-Geun, Lee Yoon-Ji, Park Gyu-Young, and Lee Sang-Yi. Story for “The Third Charm” tells a 12 year love story between On Joon-Young (Seo Kang-Joon) and Lee Young-Jae (Esom).

“The Third Charm” first airs September, 2018 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Friday and Saturday 11PM time slot after “ID: Gangnam Beauty“).

Teaser trailer added for KBS2 weekday morning drama series “Madam Cha Dal-Rae’s Love” (literal title) starring Ha Hee-Ra, Ahn Sun-YoungKo Eun-Mi. The drama series will slot into KBS2’s Monday-Friday 9AM morning time slot from September 3, 2018 (“Waves, Waves” previously occupied that time slot).

Meanwhile, the first script reading for the drama series took place August 6, 2018 at KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. Main cast members including Ha Hee-Ra, Ahn Sun-Young, Ko Eun-Mi, Kim Eung-Soo, Kim Hyeong-Beom, and Jung Wook all attended. Before the script first reading began, director Ko Yang-Tak stated “Let’s make a happy working site for all of us and show fun a drama series to viewers.”

Park Ho-San & Baro cast in supporting roles for MBC drama series “Bad Detective”

Park Ho-San & Baro are cast in supporting roles for MBC drama series “Bad Detective” (literal title) starring Shin Ha-Kyun. The drama series is a remake of British TV series “Luther” starring Idris Elba. For “Bad Detective,” Park Ho-San will play Jeon Choon-Man. He is the chief of a regional investigation unit and is in a confrontation with main character Woo Tae-Seok (Shin Ha-Kyun ). Baro will play Hwang Dong-Yoon. He is a detective and admires Woo Tae-Seok.

“Bad Detective” first airs October, 2018 in South Korea.
