First script reading for drama series “So I Married an Anti-Fan”

First script reading for upcoming drama series “So I Married an Anti-Fan” took place August 20, 2018. At the first script reading, main cast members Choi Tae-Joon, Sooyoung (‘Girls’ Generation’), Chansung (‘2PM’ member), Han Ji-An and Kim Min-Kyu all attended. Before the first script reading began, Director Kang Cheol-Woo stated “Preparation for the drama series took longer than other drama series. I think that was to let me work with such good actors and actresses. Let’s do our best to make a fun drama series.”

Meanwhile,  Warner Brothers Korea takes part in the production as an investor and co-producer for the drama series. Exact broadcasting station and air dates have yet to be disclosed. Tentatively, the drama series will air in about 160 countries around the same time as it does in South Korea.

Character poster and teaser trailer for KBS2 weekend drama series “My Only One”

Character poster and teaser trailer added for upcoming KBS2 weekend drama series “My Only One” starring Uee and Lee Jang-Woo. The teaser poster has Uee and actor Choi Soo-Jong appearing together. In the drama series, they play father and daughter. The father suddenly appears in her life after being absent for 28 years. Caption on the poster states in Korean “if only you are happy as it is.” The teaser trailer shows the father spent his time away in prison.

“My Only One” first airs September 15, 2018 in South Korea.

Two main posters and teaser trailer #3 for KBS2 drama series “The Ghost Detective”

Here’s two main posters for upcoming KBS drama series “The Ghost Detective” starring Daniel ChoiPark Eun-Bin and Lee Ji-Ah. Caption on the poster on the left asks in Korean “Can you save me next time too?” Caption on the poster on the right asks “What is the difference between your anger and my anger?” In addition, teaser trailer #3 has been added on AsianWiki. The drama series looks seriously scary.

“The Ghost Detective” will first air September 5, 2018 in South Korea.

Kim Jung-Hyun drops out of MBC drama series “Time”

Kim Jung-Hyun has dropped out of currently airing MBC drama series “Time” co-starring Seohyun. He was advised by doctors to take a break due to physical and emotional exhaustion. Kim Jung-Hyun has been suffering from an eating disorder and sleeping disorder while working on the drama series. In the drama series, Kim Jung-Hyun play lead male character Cheon Soo-Ho. The drama series will not cast someone else to play Cheon Soo-Ho, but they will write him out of the script earlier than scheduled. His character is terminally ill and he was originally scripted to die by the end of the drama series. So far  “Time” is at the midway point with 16 episodes (or 8 one hour episodes) having aired so far.

Teaser trailer #5 added for upcoming OCN drama series “The Guest” starring Kim Dong-WookKim Jae-Wook and Jung Eun-Chae. Teaser trailer #5 is a character teaser trailer of Jung Eun-Chae as Kang Kil-Young. Her character is detective and she teams up with a psychic (Kim Dong-Wook) and an exorcist priest (Kim Jae-Wook) to battle evil.

“The Guest” first airs September 12, 2018 in South Korea.

Lee Jong-Suk offered lead male role in drama series “Romance is a Bonus Book”

Lee Jong-Suk has been offered the lead male role in new drama series “Romance is a Bonus Book” (working & literal title). Currently, Lee Jong-Suk is considering the offer. Cable channel tvN is in discussions to air the drama series. If Lee Jong-Suk accepts the offer, this could be Lee Jong-Suk’s last performance before he enlists in the South Korean military. However, according to Lee Jong-Suk’s management company YNK Entertainment, Lee Jong-Suk’s enlistment date has not been set and they can’t be certain how many roles he will take before enlisting. The drama series will be directed by Lee Jung-Hyo and scripted by Jung Hyun-Jung.

Air dates for “Romance is a Bonus Book” has yet to be decided.
