Yoo Seung-Ho cast in SBS drama series “Bok-Soo’s Back”

Yoo Seung-Ho is cast in upcoming SBS drama series “Bok-Soo’s Back” (working and literal title). In the drama series, Yoo Seung-Ho will play title character Kang Bok-Soo. When he was younger, Kang Bok-Soo was kicked out of high school because of a girl he liked Son Soo-Jung and a boy Oh Se-Ho. As he an adult, he returns to the high school as a student to get revenge, but he gets involved in other cases.

“Bok-Soo’s Back” first airs December, 2018 taking over SBS’ Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Fox Bride Star.”

Lee Seol cast for lead female role in MBC drama series “Bad Detective”

Lee Seol is cast for the lead female role in MBC drama series “Bad Detective” co-starring Shin Ha-Kyun. The drama series is a remake of UK TV series “Luther.” Park Ho-San and Baro were previously announced as cast for major supporting characters in the drama series. Lee Seol’s prior acting credits include minor parts in 2018 movies “Herstory” and “I Have a Date with Spring.” Lee Seol landed the lead female role in “Bad Detective” through auditions which involved about 300 other actresses.

For the drama series “Bad Detective,” Lee Seol will play Eun Sun-Jae. She is an attractive psychopath and helps Detective Woo Tae-Seok (Shin Ha-Kyun) solve cases.

“Bad Detective” first airs November 26, 2018 in South Korea.

Character teaser trailers for tvN drama series “Room No. 9”

Character teaser trailers added for tvN drama series “Room No. 9” starring Kim Hee-Seon, Kim Young-Kwang and Kim Hae-Sook. The drama features the unusual premise of a lawyer (Kim Hee-Seon) and death row inmate (Kim Hae-Sook) mysteriously switching bodies in the prison’s room no.9.

For Kim Hee-Seon’s character teaser trailer. It begins with Kim Hee-Seon’s stating “Expensive lawyer’s fee, successful lawyer, 100% winning rate, that kind of lawyer is me. Everything begins there. Room No.9”

Kim Young-Kwang’s character teaser has Kim Young-Kwang stating “I pretend to not know anything. I pretend to have no interest. I pretend that i like. Only then can I approach the truth. Everything begins there. Room No. 9.”

Lastly, Kim Hae-Sook’s character teaser begins with her stating “To a death-row convict, every morning when the sun rises is death. If you can not give me hope, then just kill me. Everything begins there. Room No.9.”

“Room No. 9” is now scheduled to first air September 29, 2018 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer #2 and #3 added for tvN drama series “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes” starring Seo In-Guk and Jung So-Min.

Teaser trailer #2 has Seo In-Gook narrating in Korean “Everything is the same. There’s no fun.” He then asks “How does it feel when you kill someone?”

Teaser trailer #3 has Jung So-Min narrating in Korean “People call him a monster.” Then as Seo In-Gook walks along the ledge of a building, Jung So-Min says “Don’t do it. You are absolutely not a monster.”

Gong Myung & Sojin cast in JTBC drama special “Essence of Happiness”

Gong Myung & Sojin are cast in new JTBC drama special “Essence of Happiness” (literal title). The drama special is the third installment in “JTBC Drama Festa” series, following last year’s “Summer Days; Yeo-Reum” and upcoming “Ping Pong Ball.” The first script reading for “Essence of Happiness” took place August 27, 2018 at JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. Gong Myung and Sojin from idol group ‘Girl’s Day’ attended the script reading.

“Essence of Happiness” will air sometime during September, 2018 in South Korea.

Lee Yo-Won and Yoo Ji-Tae cast in MBC drama series “Different Dreams”

Lee Yo-Won and Yoo Ji-Tae are now cast for the lead roles in MBC drama series “Different Dreams.” Lee Yo-Won will replace Lee Young-Ae who was first cast to play the lead female role, but she had to drop out due to scheduling issues. Lee Yo-Won will now play the character of Lee Young-Jin. She was raised by the Japanese during the time when Korea was under Japanese rule. She eventually becomes a surgeon and takes part in the Korean independence movement. Yoo Ji-Tae will play Kim Won-Bong. He is the leader of the Heroic Corps in Shanghai, China, which were a Korean independence group. Kim Won-Bong was a real life person as were the Heroic Corps an actual Korean independence group.

Filming for “Different Dreams” begins October, 2018 and the drama series will air from May, 2019 in South Korea.

First script reading for SBS drama series “Two Lives One Heart”

First script reading for SBS drama series “Two Lives One Heart” (literal title “Thoracic Surgery”) took place early August, 2018 in South Korea. Main cast members Ko Soo, Uhm Ki-Joon, Seo Ji-Hye, Kim Ye-Won, Jung Bo-Suk, Nam Kyoung-Eub and Jang So-Yeon all attended. Right before the script reading started, Ko Soo stated “I hope we care for each other until the end of filming.” Uhm Ki-Joon and Seo Ji-Hye both stated they would do their best for the drama series.

“Two Lives One Heart” first airs October, 2018 in South Korea.
