SBS drama series “The Last Empress” extended to 52 episodes

Popular SBS drama series “The Last Empress,” starring Jang Na-Ra and Choi Jin-Hyuk, has been extended from 48 episodes to 52 episodes. Ratings for the drama series has been quite high, which gave the impetus to the staff to add 4 more episodes and tell a better ending story. The drama series was originally scheduled to end on February 14, 2019, but it will not finish on February 21, 2019. Consequently, Drama series “Big Issue” will now premiere on March 6, 2019 in the Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot for SBS.

Ahn Hyo-Seop cast in tvN drama series “Abyss”

Ahn Hyo-Seop is cast for the lead male role in upcoming tvN drama series “Abyss” co-starring Park Bo-Young. For the drama series, Ahn Hyo-Seop will play Cha Min. He gets into an accident and dies. A mysterious bead called Abyss then revives him, but he gets a different appearance. He changes from an unattractive guy to a handsome guy. He begins work at a law firm with Ko Se-Yeon (Park Bo-Young).

“Abyss” will air sometime during the first half of this year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer #4,#5,#6 for tvN drama series “He is Psychometric”

Teaser trailers #4,#5,#6 added for upcoming tvN drama series “He is Psychometric” starring Jin Young, Shin Ye-Eun, Kim Kwon and Kim Da-Som. Teaser trailer #6 introduces all four of the main characters who are Lee (Jin Young) with psychometric powers, Police Officer Yoon Jae-In (Shin Ye-Eun), Prosecutor Kang Sung-Mo (Kim Kwon) and Detective Eun Ji-Soo (Kim Da-Som).

“He is Psychometric” first airs March 11, 2019 in South Korea.

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “My Fellow Citizens”

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “My Fellow Citizens” (English title), starring Choi Si-Won (‘Super Junior’) & Lee Yoo-Young, took place December, 2018 at Gangchon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Attending the first script reading included main members Choi Si-Won, Lee Yoo-Young, Kim Min-Jung, Tae In-Ho, Kim Eui-Sung, Yang Dong-Geun and Jun Suk-Ho. The drama series follows a conman played by Choi Si-Won as he gets blackmailed into running for a national assembly seat.

“My Fellow Citizens” first airs March 25, 2019 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Monday and Tueday 10PM time slot after “My Lawyer, Mr. Jo 2: Crime and Punishment “).

Teaser trailer for OCN drama series “Kill It”

First teaser trailer for OCN drama series “Kill It” starring Chang Ki-Yong and Nana. The first teaser trailer features two different versions, with just slight variations between the two. Chan Ki-Yong appears in the teaser trailer as Kim Soo-Hyun. His character is a veterinarian, but he is secretly a killer. The voice over at the end of the teaser states “Signature Killer Action. Kill It.” Early working title for the drama series was “Blue Eyes.”

“Kill It” first airs March 16, 2019 in South Korea (takes over OCN’s Saturday and Sunday 10:20 PM time slot after “Trap“).

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “Doctor Prisoner”

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “Doctor Prisoner,” starring Namgung Min and Kwon Na-Ra (HELLOVENUS), took place January, 2019 at KBS Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. Main cast members including Namgung Min, Nara, Kim Byung-Chul, Choi Won-Young, Park Eun-Seok, Lee Da-In, Lee Min-Young, Lee Joon-Hyuk all attended. In the drama series, Namgung Min plays main character Na Yi-Je. He is a veteran doctor and works at a prison hospital.

“Doctor Prisoner” is now scheduled to first air March 20, 2019 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Wednesday and Thursday 10 PM time slot after “Liver or Die“).

Here’s 4 character posters for upcoming SBS drama series “The Fiery Priest.” The character posters are of Kim Nam-Gil as Kim Hae-Il, Kim Sung-Kyun as Koo Dae-Young, Lee Ha-Nee as Park Kyung-Sun and Go Joon as Hwang Cheol-Bum.
