Shin Hye-Sun & Ahn Bo-Hyun cast for lead roles in tvN drama series “See You in My 19th Life.”

Shin Hye-Sun & Ahn Bo-Hyun are cast for lead roles in tvN drama series “See You in My 19th Life.” Also cast for major supporting character roles are Ha Yoon-Kyung & Ahn Dong-Goo. The drama series is based on webcomic “See You in My 19th Life” by Lee Hye. The fantasy-romance screenplay will have Shin Hye-Sun play Ban Ji-Eum, a woman who has reincarnated into her 19th life. In her previous 18th life and as a kid, she knew a boy and became close to him. She meets him again in her 19th life. That man is named Moon Seo-Ha and played by Ahn Bo-Hyun. Ha Yoon-Kyung will play the younger sister of the lead female character from her 18th life. Ahn Dong-Goo will play the secretary of lead male character Moon Seo-Ha.

“See You in My 19th Life” will first air sometime during the first half of 2023 in South Korea.

Trailer and teaser poster for Disney+ drama “Connect”

Trailer and teaser poster added for Disney+ drama series “Connect” starring Jung Hae-In, Ko Kyoung-Pyo, & Kim Hye-Jun. The drama series is based on webcomic “Connect” by Shin Dae-Sung and directed by Takashi Miike (“Crows Zero“). This is the first Korean based drama series directed by Takashi Miike. The sci-fi’ish thriller script has Jung Hae-In playing Ha Dong-Soo. He is part of a new human race known as connect. His eye is stolen from him by human organ traffickers and placed into a serial killer played by Ko Kyoung-Pyo.

“Connect” is now set for release December 7, 2022 in South Korea. All 6 episodes will be available to stream on that day.

Kim So-Hyun cast in drama “Useless Lies”

Kim So-Hyun is cast in new drama series “Useless Lies” (literal title). Drama series will be directed by Nam Sung-Woo (“Love in Contract“). Meanwhile, singer-actor Minhyun (NU’EST) has received an offer to play the lead male role and he is currently “positively considering” the offer. In “Useless Lies,” Kim So-Hyun will play a young woman with a special ability to tell when someone is lying. She views her ability as a curse, as it destroys her ability to have trust in other people.

“Useless Lies” will air sometime next year in South Korea. Broadcast network/OTT platform for the drama series has not yet been decided.

English subtitled teaser trailer added for Netflix drama series “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Part II” starring Yoo Ji-Tae, Kim Yunjin, & Park Hae-Soo. The 6 episode drama series follows “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” that was released on Netflix earlier this year. The teaser trailer also introduces new character “Seoul” played by Lim Ji-Yeon.

“Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Part II” will be available to stream from December 9, 2022 on Netflix.

Baek Jin-Hee and Kwak Si-Yang cast in KBS2 drama “The Real One Has Appeared”

Baek Jin-Hee and Kwak Si-Yang are cast for lead roles in KBS2 weekend drama series “The Real One Has Appeared” (literal title). The screenplay will have Baek Jin-Hee play single mother Yeon-Doo and Kwak Si-Yang play single man by choice Tae-Kyung. Filming for the drama series will begin soon.

“The Real One Has Appeared” will first air April, 2023 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Saturday and Sunday 8PM time slot after “Three Bold Siblings“).

KBS2 drama”Met You By Chance” to air January, 2023

KBS2 drama series “Met You By Chance” (literal title), starring Kim Dong-Wook and Jin Ki-Joo, is now set to first air January, 2023 in South Korea. The drama series will air Wednesday and Thursday 9:50 PM, taking over the time slot after the 2022 KBS2 Drama Special series ends. The drama series depicts a time travel story, involving two people who find themselves in the year 1987.
