Byun Yo-Han, Lee Kyu-Hyung, & Seo Hyun-Woo cast in drama “Uncle Sam-Sik”

Byun Yo-Han, Lee Kyu-Hyung, and Seo Hyun-Woo are cast in new drama series “Uncle Sam-Sik” (literal title) starring Song Kang-Ho. Among the newly announced actors, Byun Yo-Han will play Kim San. He graduated from the Korean military academy and then went to the U.S. to study, before returning to Korea in hopes of helping the country become a major industrial nation. He meets Sam-Sik (Song Kang-Ho) who supports Kim San’s dream. Lee Kyu-Hyung will play Kang Sung-Min. He has become a presidential candidate with the help of Sam-Sik. Seo Hyun-Woo will play Jung Han-Min. He graduated from the military academy with Kim San, but he stays in the military. The drama series is set in the 1960’s and is also the first drama series acting role for lead actor Song Kang-Ho.

“Uncle Sam-Sik” will be released sometime next year and consist of 10 episodes, but broadcast network has not yet been announced.

Character posters for MBC drama “May I Help You”

Here’s character posters for upcoming MBC drama series “May I Help You” starring Hyeri & Lee Jun-Young. The four character posters are of Hyeri as Baek Dong-Ju, Lee Jun-Young as Kim Jib-Sa, Lee Gyu-Han as Vincent, and Song Duk-Ho as Seo Hae-An. Yoo Yeon-Seok, Mun Ka-Young cast in JTBC drama “Understanding of Love”

Yoo Yeon-Seok, Mun Ka-Young, Keum Sae-Rok, & Jung Ga-Ram are cast in JTBC drama series “Understanding of Love” (literal title). The drama series will tell a realistic love story of four people who meet at a bank branch. Drama series will be directed by Jo Young-Min (“Do You Like Brahms?“).

“Understanding of Love” will air sometime later this year and will slot into JTBC’s Wednesday and Thursday 10:30 PM time slot previously held by “Insider.”

Song Ha-Yoon and Lee Dong-Hae cast in drama “Oh! Young-Sim”

Song Ha-Yoon and Lee Dong-Hae (Super Junior) are cast for leads roles in drama series “Oh! Young-Sim.” Also cast for major supporting roles are Lee Min-Jae & Jung Woo-Yeon. The drama series is based on 1988 comic “Yeolnesal Youngsimyi” by Bae Geu-Taek, but the main character will be in her 30’s rather than 14-years-old like in the original comic. Song Ha-Yoon will play title character Oh Young-Sim. She works as a PD for TV variety shows. She takes on a new romance TV show and casts famous CEO Mark Wang (Lee Dong-Hae) in her program. It turns out Mark Wang was close to Oh Young-Shim when they were kids, but he was known as Wang Kyung-Tae back then.

“Oh! Young-Sim” will air sometime during the first half of 2023 in South Korea.

Their world is squarely within the fashion industry. Below is the first teasre poster for the drama series with captions that states “Millennial life that shines like fire.”

Teaser trailer for KBS2 drama “Curtain Call”

First teaser trailer added for KBS2 drama series “Curtain Call” starring Kang Ha-Neul, Ha Ji-Wo, & Kwon Sang-Woo. In the drama series, Kang Ha-Neul plays theater actor Yoo Jae-Heon. He is then offered a role to play the real grandson of hotel heiress Ja Geum-Soon (Ko Du-Shim). Her granddaughter Park Se-Yeon (Ha Ji-Won) works as a general manager of the hotel.

In addition, “Curtain Call” is now set to first air October 31, 2022 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Monday & Tuesday 9:50PM time slot after “The Law Cafe“).

Ji Chang-Wook, Wi Ha-Joon, & Lim Se-Mi cast in Disney+ drama “The Worst Evil”

Ji Chang-Wook, Wi Ha-Joon, and Lim Se-Mi are cast in Disney+ drama series “The Worst Evil” (literal title). The crime-action drama has Ji-Chang-Wook play Park Joon-Mo, a police officer who goes undercover for a drug investigation. Lim Se-Mi will play Yoo Ui-Jung, a police officer who is married Park Joon-Mo. She also takes part in the drug investigation. Wi Ha-Joon will play the boss of an emerging drug organization.

“The Worst Evil” will be available to stream sometime during the second half of 2023 on Disney+.

English subtitled trailer and poster added for Netflix drama series “Somebody” starring Kim Young-Kwang & Kang Hae-Lim. Caption on the poster states “My perfect world.
