Caption on the poster states “No one knows who you really are.” Meanwhile, the theme song for the movie has also been revealed as “Tonari” by Kai Kubota. That song also plays during the trailer.

Trailer and poster added for movie “Life of Mariko in Kabukicho” starring Sairi Itoh & Yutaka Takenouchi. The quirky film is set in the bar filled alleyways of Shinjuku Golden Gai in the Kabukicho entertainment district of Shinjuku, Tokyo. Sairi Itoh plays Mariko, who works as a bartender and also a private detective. She gets a job to find an alien. The movie’s theme song has also been announced as “Highball Boogie” by boy band Da-iCE That song is played in the trailer.
“Life of Mariko in Kabukicho” is now set for release June 30, 2023 in Japan.

Teaser trailer added for movie “Sekai no Owari kara” starring Aoi Ito. Movie is written and directed by Kazuaki Kiriya (“Casshern“). In addition, 10 supporting actors have been announced for the film and they are Katsuya Maiguma, Aya Asahina, Mio Masuda, Shunji Iwai, Yui Ichikawa, Naoki Matayoshi, Ai Tominaga, Katsunori Takahashi, Kazuki Kitamura, & Mari Natsuki.

Main trailer and two posters added for movie “Tokyo Revengers 2 Part 1” starring Takumi Kitamura & Mio Imada. Movie is based on manga series “Tokyo Revengers” by Ken Wakui (“Shinjuku Swan“) and directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa (“Sadako 3D“). Meanwhile, the theme song for the movie has been announced as “Graduation” by rock band Super Beaver. That song also appears in the main trailer.

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Nemesis” starring Suzu Hirose & Sho Sakurai. The film is a sequel to 2021 NTV drama series “Nemesis” which also starred Suzu Hirose and Sho Sakurai in the lead roles as Anna Mikami and Naoki Kazama. The sequel movie version is directed by Yu Irie (“8000 Miles“) and scripted by Takehiko Hata (“Unfair“). Caption on the poster states “Every time I solve a riddle, someone dies.”

Teaser trailer added for movie “Hard Days” starring Junichi Okada & Go Ayano. Movie is a remake of 2014 South Korean film “A Hard Day” starring Lee Sun-Kyun and Cho Jin-Woong. 10 supporting actors were also announced today for the movie “Hard Days.” They are Ryoko Hirosue, Hayato Isomura, Tetta Sugimoto, Taro Suruga, Mario Kuroba, Ryusuke Komakine, Takashi Yamanaka, Maho Yamada, Kurumi Shimizu, & Akira Emoto. Story for the movie takes place over a very chaotic 96 hour period.

Teaser trailer and poster added for live-action film “Insomniacs After School” starring Nana Mori and Daiken Okudaira. The movie is based on manga series “Kimi wa Hokago Insomnia” by Makoto Ojiro and directed by Chihiro Ikeda (“Memory’s Technique“). The film follows two high school students who meet in an abandoned astronomy observatory and both suffer from insomnia. Caption for the teaser poster states “A secret that they couldn’t tell anyone connects two people.”

Kentaro Sakaguchi, Asuka Saito, Mikako Ichikawa, and Kodai Asaka are cast in movie “Side By Side.” The film is written and directed by Chihiro Ito, who has previously collaborated with Isao Yukisada as a screenwriter for several of his films including “Crying Out Love, in the Center of the World” and “Closed Note.” Isao Yukisada is also credited as a producer for “Side By Side.” The movie “Side By Side” will mix drama and fantasy genres, following a young man played by Kentaro Sakaguchi who is able to see the thoughts of other people.

Second teaser trailer added for movie “Tokyo Revengers 2 Part 1” starring Takumi Kitamura, Yuki Yamada, & Yosuke Sugino. The second teaser trailer introduces newly announced cast members Kento Nagayama, Nijiro Murakami and Mahiro Takasugi. These three actors will play new characters for the sequel film. Kento Nagayama will play Keisuke Baji, who is one of founding members of Tokyo Manjikai. Nijiro Murakami will play Kazutora Hanemiya. He is one of the founding members of Tokyo Manjikai and then No.3 of delinquent group Baruhara which is hostile to Tokyo Manjikai. Lastly, Mahiro Takasugi will play Chifuyu Matsuno who is a member of Tokyo Manjikai.
“Tokyo Revengers 2 Part 1” is now set for release April 21, 2023 in Japan and its follow up film “Tokyo Revengers 2 Part 2” will be released June 30, 2023.

Ayame Goriki is cast in movie “Detective of Joshidaikoji” (literal title). The film is based on 2021 novel “Jyoshidaikoji no Meitantei” by Takehiko Hata (“Unfair“). For the film, Ayama Goriki will play lead character Mio Hironaka. She works as a hostess, but teams up with her brother, who works as a detective, to tackle a serious crime case. Originally, Yuika Motokariya was cast to play Mio Hironaka, but she had to drop out due to health issues.
“Detective of Joshidaikoji” will be released sometime later this year in Japan.
