Teaser poster and release date for movie “Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead”

Teaser poster and August 3rd release date set for Netflix distributed movie “Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead” starring Eiji Akaso, Mai Shiraishi, & Shuntaro Yanagi. The live-action film is based on manga series “Zom 100: Zombie ni Naru made ni Shitai 100 no Koto” by Haro Aso. The film revolves around Akira Tendo (Eiji Akaso), who hates his job so much that when he sees his town overrun by zombies, he shouts out for joy that he doesn’t have to go to work. He makes a bucket list of 100 things to do with his friends.

“Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead” will be available to stream  August 3, 2023.

Yui Aragaki cast in movie “Ikoku Nikki”

Yui Aragaki is cast in live-action film “Ikoku Nikki.” Movie is based on manga series “Ikoku Nikki” by Tomoko Yamashita (“The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window“) and directed by Natsuki Seta (“Georama Boy Panorama Girl“). In movie “Ikoku Nikki,” Yui Aragaki will play Makio Kodai. She is an introverted 35-year-old novelist. At the funeral for her sibling, she decides to live with her 15-year-old niece who lost her parents in a car accident.

“Ikoku Nikki” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Teaser trailer and poster for movie “Undercurrent” starring Yoko Maki, Arata Iura, & Lily Franky. Movie is based on manga series “Undercurrent” by Tetsuya Toyoda and directed by Rikiya Imaizumi (“Little Nights, Little Love“). Caption on the teaser poster states “Lying to live is a sin?” The film revolves around a wife (Yoko Maki) and a private detective (Lily Franky) looking into the disappearance of her husband. A man played by Arata Iura enters her life at that time.

Teaser trailer and poster for movie “Ai ni Inazuma” starring Mayu Matsuoka and Masataka Kubota. The movie is written and directed by Yuya Ishii (“Mitsuko Delivers“). The movie’s theme song has also been announced as “Kokoro no Mamani” by rock group Elephant Kashimashi. “Kokoro no Mamani” is also featured in the teaser trailer. The teaser trailer starts with captions that states “Two people who met by fate.”

Seiyo Uchino and Kana Kita cast in movie “Shunga Sensei”

Seiyo Uchino and Kana Kita are cast in movie “Shunga Sensei.” The film is written and directed by Akihiko Shiota (“Farewell Song“) and revolves around shunga (erotic art that was popular during the Edo period). Seiyo Uchino will play Ichiro Haga, who is a reclusive teacher of shunga. Kana Kita will play Yumiko Haruno. She works as a waitress and meets Ichiro Haga while working at her job.

“Shunga Sensei” will be released October 13, 2023 in Japan.

Haruka Fukuhara & Koshi Mizukami cast in movie “I Wish I Could Meet You…”

Haruka Fukuhara and Koshi Mizukami are cast in movie “I Wish I Could Meet You Again on the Hill Where That Flower Blooms.” The movie is based on 2016 novel “Ano Hana ga Saku Oka de, Kimi to mata Deaetara” by Natsue Shiomi. For the movie, Haruka Fukuhara will play high school student Yuri. She somehow travels from the present day to 1945 and meets a kamikaze pilot played by Koshi Mizukami.

“I Wish I Could Meet You Again on the Hill Where That Flower Blooms” will be released December 8, 2023 in Japan.
