Sakura Ando & Eita Nagayama cast in movie “Monster”

Sakura Ando & Eita Nagayama cast in Hirokazu Koreeda directed film “Monster.” Also cast in the movie are Soya Kurokawa, Hinata Hiiragi, Mitsuki Takahata, Akihiro Kakuta, Shido Nakamura, and Yuko Tanaka. Filming for the movie took place from spring to summer, 2022. The movie’s first teaser trailer and teaser poster has also been released. The teaser trailer shows flashes of the main characters, with the voices of children chanting “Monster, guess who?” in the background. The teaser trailer ends mysteriously with a drop of blood splashing on the floor.

“Monster” will be released June 2, 2023 in Japan.

Trailer and poster for movie “Downfall”

Trailer and poster added for movie “Downfall” starring Takumi Saito, Shuri, and Megumi. Movie is based on manga series “Reiraku” by Inio Asano and directed by veteran actor Naoto Takenaka. More cast members has also been announced for the film and they are Hisashi Yoshizawa, Eiji Sugawara, Daisuke Kuroda, Shiho Sasaki and Ryohei Shima. Lastly, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Doremi” by Ryohei Shima. and he also appears in the film as a freelance writer. The theme song can be heard in the main trailer as well.

“Downfall” will be released March 17, 2023 in Japan.

Riho Yoshioka, Serena Motola, Utaha, and Marika Matsumoto are cast in movie “Ice Cream Fever.” Movie is based on short story “Ice Cream Netsu” by Mieko Kawakami and directed by Tetsuya Chihara. The film revolves around four women, with Riho Yoshioka playing lead character Natsumi Tsuneta, whose lives intersect through an ice cream shop.

“Ice Cream Fever” will be released summer, 2023 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Ginga Tetsudo no Chichi” starring Koji Yakusho, Masaki Suda, & Nana Mori. Movie is based on 2017 novel “Ginga Tetsudo no Chichi” by Yoshinobu Kadoi and directed by Izuru Narushima (“To Each His Own“). The teaser trailer begins with Koji Yakusho introducing himself as “Kenji Miyazawa’s father, I’m Masajiro.”

“Ginga Tetsudo no Chichi” will be released May 5, 2023 in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for live-action film “And Yet, You Are So Sweet” starring Kyohei Takahashi & Mei Hata. Movie is based on manga series “Nanoni, Chigira-kun ga Amasugiru” by Kujira Anan. The movie’s theme song has also been announced as “Special Kiss” by boy band Naniwa Danshi. The theme song plays during the main trailer.

Ryohei Suzuki cast in movie “City Hunter”

Ryohei Suzuki is cast in Netflix live-action film “City Hunter.” The film is based on manga series “City Hunter” by Tsukasa Hojo. 2011 SBS drama series “City Hunter ,” starring Lee Min-Ho & Park Min-Young, is also based on the same manga series. The live-action movie version is set in the Shinjuku ward of Tokyo and filming also took place there. Ryohei Suzuki will play Ryo Saeba. He loves beautiful women, but he also works as a skilled sweeper.

“City Hunter” will be available to stream sometime in 2024 via Netflix.

Teaser trailer and teaser poster for movie “Daimyo-Tousan” starring Ryunosuke Kamiki, Hana Sugisaki, & Kenichi Matsuyama. Movie is based 2019 novel “Daimyo Tousan” by Jiro Asada (“When the Last Sword Is Drawn“) and directed by Tetsu Maeda (“A Banana? At This Time of Night?“). Also cast for the film are Fumiyo Kohinata, Shinya Kote, Dori Sakurada, Aoi Miyazaki, Tadanobu Asano, & Koichi Sato.

Main trailer and poster added for movie “My Happy Marriage” starring Ren Meguro & Mio Imada. The fantasy-romance film is based on novel “Watashi no Shiawasena Kekkon” by Akumi Agitogi, scripted by Tomoe Kanno (“The Asadas!“) and directed by Ayuko Tsukahara (“Cafe Funiculi Funicula“). The movie’s theme song has also been revealed as “Tapestry” by boy band Snow Man. Lead actor Ren Meguro is a member of Snow Man and the theme song is played during the main trailer. Caption on the poster states “I wished to live with her as long as possible.

Yuki Amami cast in movie “Emergency Interrogation Room: The Final”

Yuki Amami is cast in movie “Emergency Interrogation Room: The Final.” The film is a sequel to TV Asahi drama series “Emergency Interrogation Room,” that has aired for 4 seasons, and presumably the final installment in the series. Also cast for the movie are series regulars Tetsushi Tanaka, Mokomichi Hayami, Kosuke Suzuki, Koji Ookura, Muga Tsukaji, Denden, and Fumiyo Kohinata. The film will revolve around the special police interrogation team at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. They interrogate and conduct psychological warfare with suspects.

“Emergency Interrogation Room: The Final” will be released  June 16, 2023 in Japan.

Poster and trailer added for movie “Shylock’s Children” starring Sadao Abe and Aya Ueto. The movie is based on 2006 novel “Shylock no Kodomotachi” by Jun Ikeido (“Naoki Hanzawa“). The film is also directed by Katsuhide Motoki, who previously directed 2018 movie “Recall” which is also based on a novel by Jun Ikeido. In addition, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Yes. I. Do” by rock band Elephant Kashimashi. The theme song plays during the main trailer as well.
