Trailer for movie “Confess To Your Crimes”

Trailer added for movie “Confess To Your Crimes” starring Kento Nakajima & Shinichi Tsutsumi. Movie is based on 2019 novel “Omae no Tsumi o Jihaku Shiro” by Yuichi Shinpo and directed by Nobuo Mizuta (“The Apology King“). New supporting cast members has also been announced for the upcoming crime film and they are Elaiza Ikeda, Ikusaburo Yamazaki, Ayumu Nakajima, Minami, & Machiko Ono. Elaiza Ikeda will play Mayumi Ogata, who is Seijiro Uda’s (Shinichi Tsutsumi) daughter. Her daughter gets kidnapped. Ikusaburo Yamazaki will play detective Nobuki Hirao. He chases after the kidnapper of Mayumi Ogata’s daughter. Ayumu Nakajima will play Yoichiro Uda. He is Seijiro Uda’s first son and an assemblyman. Minami will play reporter Misaki Kamiya. Lastly, Machiko Ono will play Hatsumi Teranaka. She is an election volunteer and supports the Uda family. The trailer also features the movie’s theme song which is “Dark Rainbow” by rock duo B’z.

“Confess To Your Crimes” will be released October 20, 2023 in Japan.

Trailer and poster for movie “The Silent Service”

Trailer and poster added for live-action film “The Silent Service” starring Takao Osawa and Hiroshi Tamaki. Movie is based on anga series “Chinmoku no Kantai” by Kaiji Kawaguchi (“Aircraft Carrier Ibuki“) and directed by Kohei Yoshino (“Gone Wednesday“). The film follows a Japanese-American nuclear submarine that goes missing with Captain Shiro Kaieda (Takao Osawa) commanding the vessel. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been announced as “Dignity” by Ado. The theme song is featured in the main trailer as well.

“The Silent Service” will be released September 29, 2023 in Japan.

Teaser trailer & poster for movie “(Ab)normal Desire”

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “(Ab)normal Desire” starring Goro Inagaki & Yui Aragaki. Movie is based on 2021 novel “Seiyoku” by Ryo Asai. Some of his other notable works that were adapted into feature films include “The Kirishima Thing” and “Somebody.” More cast members have also been announced for the film and they are Maho Yamada, Shohei Uno, Daichi Watanabe, Eri Tokunaga, Ryo Iwase, Nozomi Bando, & Hiroshi Yamamoto. Lastly, below are still images from the movie.

Main trailer and poster for movie “Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead”

Main trailer and poster added for Netflix live-action film “Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead” starring Eiji Akaso, Mai Shiraishi, & Shuntaro Yanagi. The horror-comedy film is based on manga series “Zom 100: Zombie ni Naru made ni Shitai 100 no Koto” by Haro Aso. Premise for the film takes place during a zombie apocalypse when overworked office worker Akira Tendo is excited about not having to go to work. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “HoriZOM” by singer-songwriter Ren. The theme song is also prominently featured in the trailer.

“Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead” will be available to stream from August 3, 2023.

Fumika Baba cast in movie “Copo A Copo”

Fumika Baba is cast for the lead role in movie “Copo A Copo.” She will be joined by supporting actors Masahiro Higashide, Yuki Kura, Takashi Sasano, Oshiro Maeda, Yui Kitamura, and Reiko Kataoka. The film is based on webcomic “Copo A Copo” by Renji Iwanami and directed by Masaaki Jindo (“The Secret of the Black Dahlia“). Movie “Copo A Copo,” is set around cheap apartment complex Copo in Osaka and the residents there.

“Copo A Copo” will be released November 17, 2023 in Japan.

Trailer added for live-action film “Don’t Call it Mystery” starring Masaki Suda and Kou Shibasaki. Movie is a sequel to 2022 Fuji TV drama series “Don’t Call it Mystery” and based on on manga series “Mystery to Iu Nakare” by Yumi Tamura. The trailer also features the just announced theme song which is “Garasumado” by King Gnu.

“Don’t Call it Mystery” will be released September 15, 2023 in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Shunga Sensei” starring Seiyo Uchino & Kana Kita. Movie is written and directed by Akihiko Shiota (“Dororo“). Caption on the poster states “In this world, love at first sight.” The film revolves around Ichiro Haga, who is a researcher on erotic paintings from the Edo era known as “shunga,” and Yumiko Haruno who becomes interested in shunga.

Taiga Kyomoto & Kotone Furukawa cast in movie “Ienai Himitsu”

Taiga Kyomoto & Kotone Furukawa are cast in movie “Ienai Himitsu.” The film is a remake of 2007 Taiwan romance film “Secret.” The remake film will be directed by Hayato Kawai (“Let’s Go, Jets!“). Story for “Ienai Himitsu” will take place at a music university. The sound of a beautiful melody played on the piano leads Minato (Taiga Kyomoto) to meet Yukino (Kotone Furukawa).

“Ienai Himitsu” will be released summer, 2024 in Japan.

Rie Miyazawa cast in movie “Tsuki”

Rie Miyazawa is cast for the lead role in movie “Tsuki.” Also cast for the film are Hayato Isomura, Fumi Nikaido, Joe Odagiri, Eri Nagai, Hirota Otsuka, Hideyuki Kasahara, Yuka Itaya, Morooka Moro, Shingo Tsurumi, Hideko Hara, & Atsuko Takahata. The movie is based on 2017 novel “Tsuki” by Yo Hemmi and directed by Yuya Ishii (“The Great Passage“). For the movie “Tsuki,” Rie Miyazawa will play Yoko Dojima. She begins to work at a facility for the severely disabled.
