Trailer added for upcoming movie “Life in Overtime” starring Hiroshi Tachi, Hitomi Kuroki and Ryoko Hirosue. Movie is based on novel “Owatta Hito” by Makiko Uchidate. The film revolves around Sosuke Tashiro (Hiroshi Tachi) as he prepares for live after retirement. He is married to Chigusa Tashiro (Hitomi Kuroki), but he meets a younger woman (Ryoko Hirosue). The film is directed by Hideo Nakata, better known for his horror films like “Ring.”

Main trailer for movie “My Friend A” starring Toma Ikuta and Eita. Movie is based on novel “Yuuzai” by Gaku Yakumaru and directed by Takahisa Zeze. Story for “My Friend A” has failed journalist now factory worker Junichi Masuda (Toma Ikuta) befriending a co-worker (Eita) who he suspects of a being a convicted serial killer. He decides to write about him covertly.

First batch of supporting actors has been announced for upcoming live-action film “Bleach” starring Sota Fukushi and Hana Sugisaki. Now cast in supporting roles are Ryo Yoshizawa, Taichi Saotome and Miyavi.
For “Bleach,” Ryo Yoshizawa will play Uryu Ishida. He is classmates with Ichigo Kurosaki (Sota Fukushi) and a top student, but he is in fact a descendant of the Quincy tribe. The Quincy tribe are bitter rivals of Soul Reapers.
Taichi Saotome will play Renji Abarai. He is a Soul Reaper and a subordinate of Byakuya Kuchiki (Miyavi). Renji Abarai is also a childhood friend of Rukia Kuchiki (Hana Sugisaki).
Miyavi will play Byakuya Kuchiki. He is calm, cold-hearted and a strict Soul Reaper. His younger sister is Rukia Kuchiki. In order to bring Rukia Kuchiki back, he appears in front of Ichigo Kurosaki.

Kasumi Arimura is cast in movie “Before the Coffee Gets Cold” (literal title). The film is based on 2015 novel “Coffee ga Samenai Uchi ni” by Toshikazu Kawaguchi and will be directed by Ayuko Tsukahara. Cast in supporting roles are Kentaro, Haru, Kento Hayashi, Motoki Fukami, Yutaka Matsushige, Hiroko Yakushimaru, Yo Yoshida, Wakana Matsumoto and Yuriko Ishida. For the film, Kasumi Arimura will play Kazu Tokita. She is an employee at a cafe. A rumor exists about the cafe that if a customer takes a special seat, that person can travel back to a time of a choice and stay there before their coffee gets cold.
Filming for the movie will take place from March 10, 2018 through mid-April, 2018. “Before the Coffee Gets Cold” will be released September 21, 2018 in Japan.
Teaser trailer for movie “Neko wa Daku Mono” starring Erika Sawajiri and Ryo Yoshizawa. Movie is based on novel “Neko wa Daku Mono” by Junko Oyama and directed by Isshin Inudo. The film features Erika Sawajiri playing a former idol star, but now grocery store employee. She makes friend with a cat at a pet store and the cat takes on the persona of a boyfriend.
“Neko wa Daku Mono” will be releaed June 23, 2018.
Tao Tsuchiya and Takumi Kitamura (‘Dish’) are cast for the lead roles in live-action film “We Hope for Blooming” (literal title). Movie is based on manga “Harumatsu Bokura” by Anashin and directed by Yuichiro Hirakawa. Also cast in supporting roles are Yuta Koseki, Hayato Isomura, Yosuke Sugino and Yu Inaba. Story for “We Hope for Blooming” has Tao Tsuchiya playing high school student Mitsuki Haruno. She is timid and doesn’t have any friends at school. A case takes place and she then begins to hang out with 4 players from the school’s basketball team. She also develops feelings for Towa Asakura (Takumi Kitamura) from the basketball team, but she meets her childhood friend (Yuta Koseki) now a basketball player at another high school.
“We Hope for Blooming” will be released sometime during winter, 2018 in Japan.
Wakana Aoi and Hayato Sano (‘M!LK’) are cast for the lead roles in live-action film “Blue Summer” (literal title). Movie is based on manga “Ao-Natsu” by Atsuko Nanba. Also cast in supporting roles are Seika Furuhata, Takumi Kizu, Rinka Kumada, Atomu Mizuishi, Shiori Akita and Reo Shimura. Story for “Blue Summer” has Wakana Aoi playing high school student Rio. She lives in Tokyo, but she spends the summer in the countryside. There she meets high school student Ginzo (Hayato Sano) .

Kang Ji-Young (ex-Kara member) is cast in new movie “Watashino Jinsei Nanoni.” The film is based on light novel “Watashi no Jinsei Nanoni” by Tomohide Kiyoshi & Kiyuu Azuma. Tomohide Kiyoshi also co-wrote the original manga “Reon” which was adapted into the film “Reon” also starring Kang Ji-Young. In the upcoming film, Kang Ji-Young plays gymnast Mizuho. After falling ill, she is diagnosed with a spinal cord disease and soon becomes paralyzed from the waist down. She then discovers music which helps her start a new path.
