Poster and trailer added for upcoming WOWOW drama series “And, Live” (literal title) starring Kasumi Arimura and Kentaro Sakaguchi. The drama series is set a few months after the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in 2011 and follows two volunteers who find an attraction with each other. Caption on the poster states in Japanese “I met you and I became strong.” Former Kara idol group member Kang Ji-Young also appears in the drama series in a supporting role. Hiromitsu Kitayama (‘Kis-My-Ft2’) is cast for the lead role in new TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Million Joe.” In the drama series, Hiromitsu Kitayama will play magazine editor Soichi Kurei. He is devastated when a manga writer dies before finishing a manga series that he is working on and he comes up with an idea. The drama series is based on manga series “Million Joe” by writer Ryoji Toguchi & illustrator Iroha Ichimaru. Hideo Sakaki & Keisuke Shibata will direct the drama series.

Yosuke Sugino & Haruka Fukuhara are cast in live-action film “Love and Murder of Sheep and Wolf.” Movie is based on manga series “Ana Satsujin” by Rahson and directed by Kayoko Asakura (“It’s a Beautiful Day“). In the film, Yosuke Sugino plays a hikkimori who falls in love with his next door neighbor played by Haruka Fukuhara. The girl could possibly be a killer. Meanwhile, the first teaser trailer for the film has been added on AsianWiki and here are the first 6 still images for the film.

Yuki Furukawa is cast in WOWOW drama series “Evil’s Wave” (literal title). The drama series is based on 2011 novel “Ishi no Mayu Keishicho Satsujin Bunsekihan” and is a spin-off to 2015 WOWOW drama series “Stone’s Cocoon” and 2016 WOWOW drama series “Crystal’s Beating.” Story for “Evil’s Wave” is set before “Stone’s Cocoon” and tells the story of Masato Yaginuma and how he became a killer.

Tetsuji Tamayama is cast in WOWOW drama series “Top League.” The drama series is based on 2017 novel “Top League” by Hideo Aiba. This is the 4th novel by Hideo Aiba that will be adapted into a WOWOW drama series following “Trembling Cow,” “Blood on the Tracks” and “Unexploded Bomb.” For the drama series, Tetsuji Tamayama will play reporter Naoki Matsuoka. He looks into a case involving a found safe, but dark politics linger in the backdrop.
“Top League” will first air October, 2019 and consist of 6 episodes.
Teaser poster added for upcoming Fuji TV dram series “Daughter of Lupin” (literal title) starring Kyoko Fukada and Koji Seto. The teaser poster features main characters Hana Mikumo (Kyoko Fukada), Kazuma Sakuraba (Koji Seto), Etsuko Mikumo (Maju Ozawa), Wataru Mikumo (Louis Kurihara), Matsu Mikumo (Yoshiko Takehara), Iwao Mikumo (Akaji Maro) and Takeru Mikumo (Atsuro Watabe). KoJi Seto has been reported to have lost 10 kg to play the character of Kazuma Sakuraba. The drama series is based on 2015 novel “Rupan no Musume” by Dai Yokozeki.

For “Beshari Gurashi,” Fuka Koshiba will play high school student Shizuyo Toritani. She enjoys comedy. The drama series will follow two young high school students who decide to form a comedy duo.
