Yuta Tamamori cast in Paravi drama series “Grand Maison Tokyo: Hirako Shohei no Yureru Omoi”

Yuta Tamamori is cast in Paravi drama series “Grand Maison Tokyo: Hirako Shohei no Yureru Omoi.” The drama series is a spin-off of upcoming TBS drama series “Grand Maison Tokyo” starring Takuya Kimura. Also cast in the spin-off series are Aki Asakura and Ayako Yoshitani. “Grand Maison Tokyo: Hirako Shohei no Yureru Omoi” will have Shohei Hirako (Yuta Tamamori) working as a chef at a buffet restaurant. Aki Asakura will play Miya Ebina. Her character is engaged to Shohei Hirako. Ayako Yoshitani will play Moe Matsui. Shohei Hirako has feelings for her.

“Grand Maison Tokyo: Hirako Shohei no Yureru Omoi” will be available to stream on Paravi sometime after “Grand Maison Tokyo” finishes airing on TBS.

Goro Kishitani, Yuki Furukawa & Eisaku Yoshida cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama special “Ten: Akagi Shigeru Soshiki Hen”

Goro Kishitani, Yuki Furukawa and Eisaku Yoshida are cast in TV Tokyo-Paravi live-action drama special “Ten: Akagi Shigeru Soshiki Hen.” The drama special is a sequel to 2018 TV Tokyo drama series “Ten: Tenhodori No Kaidanji.” Also cast in the drama special are Yoji Tanaka, Hosshan, Denden and Koji Matoba who will reprise their respective roles from the original drama serise. Ryosei Tayama is also cast to play new character Shuzo Kanamitsu. “Ten: Akagi Shigeru Soshiki Hen” is based on manga series “Kuroshitsuji” by Nobuyuki Fukumoto

“Ten: Akagi Shigeru Soshiki Hen” will be available to stream through Paravi on November 11, 2019 and then it will air on TV Tokyo sometime later in the year.

Sara Minami cast in NHK drama series “The Bokeh of Family”

Sara Minami is cast for the lead female role in NHK drama series “The Bokeh of Family” (literal title of “Pinboke no Kazoku”) co-starring Yuki Izumisawa. The drama series is based on an original screenplay by Ryo Takada (“Gou Gou, The Cat“). In the drama series, Sara Minami will play high school student Haruna Miyashita. She helps a man (Yuki Izumisawa) find photos of his grandmother who is from the area. The story is set in the Suwa region of Nagano Prefecture.

Filming for “The Bokeh of Family” begins mid-October, 2019 and the drama series will first air March 4, 2020 in Japan.

Main trailer & poster for movie “Stare”

Main trailer and poster added for horror film “Stare” starring Marie Iitoyo and Yu Inaba. Movie is written and directed by Otsuichi (“Tokyo Novel“). Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed which is “Inertia” by rock band Cö Shu Nie. The theme song is featured in the main trailer. The first photo below is of the band and then followed by still images.

“Stare” is now set for release January 10, 2020 in Japan.

Fuju Kamio and Elaiza Ikeda are cast in TBS-MBS drama series “Eren the Southpaw” (literal title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Hidarikiki no Eren” by Kappy and will be directed by Yuko Goto (“Sasurai Onsen Endo Kenichi“). The drama series will have Elaiza Ikeda playing a painter with the nickname of The Southpaw and Fuju Kamio playing advertising employee Koichi Asakura.

“Eren the Southpaw” first airs October 20, 2019 in Japan.

Tsubasa Honda cast in NTV-YTV drama series “Cheat”

Tsubasa Honda is cast for the lead role new NTV-YTV drama series “Cheat.” Also cast in supporting roles are Daichi Kaneko, Shuhei Uesugi, Haruka Fukuhara, Miu Tomita, Mayuu Yokota, Sho Kiyohara, Mansaku Ikeuchi, Ren Kiriyama and Shunsuke Kazama. The drama series will follow 25-year-old Saki Hoshino (Tsubasa Honda). She is a member of swindler team Cheat and also secretly a member of an unpopular idol group.

“Cheat” will first air October 3, 2019 in Japan.

The drama series will be directed by Satoko Yokohama (“Bare Essence of Life“) and Masanori Tominaga (“The Pavillion Salamandre“). The drama series will revolve around two people who become fascinated with food by spending time at campgrounds.

Naohito Fujiki is cast in TV Tokyo drama series “Haru: Woman of a General Trading Company” (literal title) co-starring Miki Nakatani. In the drama series, Naohito Fujiki will play Hisashi Wada. He becomes the boss of his ex-wife Haru Unabara (Miki Nakatani) at a general trading company. For the live-action drama series, Anna Yamada and Karen Otomo will play two teen girls who become sisters after their parents remarry. They develop a bond through their love of food.

Yuina Kuroshima is cast in Fuji TV drama special “Fly! Boys, Fly!” co-starring Ren Nagase. The drama series centers around Chikara Asakawa (Ren Nagase) who is in training to become a flight attendant. For Yuina Kuroshima, she will play Tsubasa Takayama. She is a trainee to become a pilot. Judging by their uniforms and lanyard, both are trainees for real budget airline Jetstar. The drama special is directed by Takehiko Shinjo (“Your Lie in April“) and scripted by Kazunao Furuya (“Ouroboros“).
