Park Bo-Young offered lead role in JTBC drama series “Powerful Woman Do Bong-Soon”

Actress Park Bo-Young has been offered the title character role in upcoming JTBC drama series “Powerful Woman Do Bong-Soon” (literal title). The drama series is scripted by Baek Mi-Kyeong (“My Love Eun-Dong“) and directed by Lee Hyeong-Min (“Winter Sonata“). Currently in Park Bo-Young is “positively considering” the offer and they are in final stage of discussions about the role. If Park Bo-Young accepts, she will play central figure Do Bong-Soon. The drama series will follow several women, with Do Bong-Soon being a central character in the story.

“Powerful Woman Do Bong-Soon” will first air January, 2017 in South Korea.

Ayame Gouriki cast in live-action TV Asahi drama series “Gu Ra Me!”

Ayame Gouriki is cast in live-action TV Asahi drama series “Gu Ra Me!” The drama series is based on manga series “Gu Ra Me!~Daisaishou no Ryourinin~” by Mitsuru Nishimura. In the drama series, Ayame Gouriki plays Kurumi Ichiki. She works as a waitress at a high end traditional Japanese restaurant and is talented with cooking. She crosses paths with the executive secretary (Kenichi Takito) of the prime minister and eventually begins to work as a cook at the prime minister’s residence. Supporting actors include Kenichi Takito, Issei Takahashi, Yua Shinkawa & Risa Naito.

“Gu Ra Me!” first airs this July in Japan.

Teaser trailer for SBS drama series “Wanted”

First teaser trailer added for SBS drama series “Wanted” starring Kim A-Joong and Uhm Tae-Woong.

Meanwhile, the still images above are of Kim A-Joong from a scene in “Wanted.” Filming for this scene took place recently at an abandoned factory in Paju, South Korea.  The scene has Jung Hye-In (Kim A-Joong) attending a press conference for the movie “Mom” which she starred in.

Kang Ha-Neul declines lead role drama series “Gaia”

Kang Ha-Neul has declined the lead male role upcoming drama series “Gaia.” Although airing network has yet to be finalized for “Gaia,” it’s possible it could air at the same time as SBS drama series “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” which Kang Ha-Neul will appear in as a major supporting character role. In addition, movie “Retrial” will begin filming this July and Kang Ha-Neul will be performing in the movie as a leading character. Thus, Kang Ha-Neul has declined to appear in “Gaia.”

Meanwhile, Yuri (‘Girls’ Generation’) and Chanyeol (‘EXO-K’) are still considering offers to the play lead female character and major supporting male character in the drama series. MBC is in discussions to air “Gaia” Mondays & Tuesdays at 10PM after “Monster.”
