First script reading for tvN drama “Tale of the Nine Tailed”

First script reading for tvN drama series “Tale of the Nine Tailed” (English title), starring Lee Dong-Wook, Jo Bo-Ah, & Kim Beom, took place April, 2020 in South Korea. The first script reading was attended by Lee Dong-Wook , Jo Bo-Ah , Kim Beom, Kim Yong-Ji , Hwang HeeKim Jung-Nan, and Ahn Kil-Kang and others. The drama series features a fantasy-action-romance genre screenplay. Lee Dong-Wook plays Lee Yeon. He is a gumiho aka nin-tailed fox. Jo Bo-Ah plays Nam Ji-A. She is an enthusiastic television producer. Kim Beom plays Lee Rang. He is Lee Yeon’s younger half brother. For Kim Beom, this is his first drama series role since 2016 SBS drama series “Mrs. Cop 2.” Above and below are photos from the first script reading.

Mun Ka-Young, Cha Eun-Woo, & Hwang In-Yeop cast in tvN drama “True Beauty”

Mun Ka-YoungCha Eun-Woo, and Hwang In-Yeop are now cast in tvN drama series “True Beauty.” The drama series is adapted from webcomic “Yeoshingangrim” by Yaongyi. Mun Ka-Young will play lead female character Im Joo-Kyeong. She is a high school student with a bright personality. She has a complex about her appearance and hides herself behind make-up. Cha Eun-Woo will play lead male character Lee Soo-Ho. He is also a high school student and transfers to the same high school as Im Joo-Kyeong. He appears to be perfect with an attractive appearance, does well in school and excellent athletic ability. Lastly, Hwang In-Yeop will play Han Seo-Joon. He is a masculine guy with a warm heart.

“True Beauty” first airs sometime later this year in South Korea.

Song Joong-Ki, Jeon Yeo-Bin, & TaecYeon cast in tvN drama “Vincenzo”

Song Joong-KiJeon Yeo-Bin, and TaecYeon are now cast in tvN drama series “Vincenzo.” The drama series will have Song Joong-Ki play title character Vincenzo Casano. After being adopted, he grew up in Italy and became a cold-blooded strategist and lawyer for the mafia. He looks like a sweet person, but he won’t hesitate to take revenge. He also has excellent negotiation skills and charismatic. He returns to South Korea after war breaks out between the mafia.

Jeon Yeo-Bin will play Hong Cha-Young. She is an ace lawyer in South Korea and works for big law firm Woosang. She is the type of attorney who will do anything to win a case.

Lastly, TaecYeon will play Jang Joon-Woo. He is an intern lawyer at Woosang where Hong Cha-Young works. He grew up at abroad. He has a handsome appearance and an innocent smile. He trusts his trainer Hong Cha-Young and admires her. 

“Vincenzo” will first air sometime during the first half of 2021 in South Korea.

Bae Suzy & Nam Joo-Hyuk cast in tvN drama series “Start-Up”

Bae Suzy and Nam Joo-Hyuk are now cast in tvN drama series “Start-Up.” Kim Sun-Ho and Kang Han-Na are also cast for major supporting characters. The drama series had the early working title of “Sandbox” before picking up “Start-Up.”

For the drama series, Bae Suzy will play Seo Dal-Mi. Her dream is to start a technology company. She goes through numerous part-time jobs in pursuit of her goal, until she finally starts her own company. Nam Joo-Hyuk will play Nam Do-San. He is the founder of Samsan Tech, which was founded two years ago. He is also the first love of Seo Dal-Mi. Kim Sun-Ho will play Han Ji-Pyeong. He is a senior manager at SH Venture Capital. Lastly, Kang Han-Na will play Won In-Jae. She is daughter of a rich chaebol family, but her family disowns her. She wants to succeed by herself and begins with a startup.

“Start-Up” first airs October, 2020 (takes over tvN’s Saturday and Sunday 9PM time slot after “Stranger 2.”).

Character teaser added for tvN drama series “Stranger 2” starring Cho Seung-Woo and Bae Doo-Na. The character teaser shows briefly Cho Seung-Woo as Hwang Shi-Mok, Bae Doo-Na as Han Yeo-Jin, Jeon Hye-Jin as Choi Bit, Choi Moo-Sung as Woo Tae-Ha, Yoon Se-Ah as Lee Yeon-Jae, and Lee Joon-Hyuk as Seo Dong-Jae. At the 10 second mark of the character teaser a voice states “The one who wants silence. Everyone is an accomplice.”

“Stranger 2” is now set to air from August 15, 2020 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer #3 added for tvN drama series “Record of Youth” starring Park Bo-Gum and Park So-Dam.
