Miho Kanno and Eiji Akaso cast in movie “Kinki Chiho no Aru Basho ni Tsuite”

Miho Kanno and Eiji Akaso are cast in movie “Kinki Chiho no Aru Basho ni Tsuite.” Movie is based on 2023 novel “Kinki Chiho no Aru Basho ni Tsuite” by Sesuji  and directed by Koji Shiraishi (“Hell Girl“). Story for the mystery-horror film revolves around the disappearance of an occult magazine editor. Miho Kanno will play occult writer Chihiro Seno and Eiji Akaso will play Editor Yusei Ozawa. They team up to look into the editor’s disappearance and a common link they keep coming up with is the area around Kinki. Meanwhile, the first trailer for the movie has been added on AsianWiki and the trailer starts with Miho Kanno look into the camera and stating “I’m looking for my missing friend.”

“Kinki Chiho no Aru Basho ni Tsuite” will be released August 8, 2025 in Japan.

Trailer & poster for movie “Tomorrow’s Dinner Table”

Trailer and poster added for movie “Tomorrow’s Dinner Table” starring Miho Kanno, Mitsuki Takahata, & Machiko Ono. After the first scene flashes a woman sitting behind glass (presumably the visiting room of a prison), the trailer shows three mothers raising their sons. Each of the mothers has a son named Yu. The trailer then cuts to a far darker tone with narration that states “One day, one Yu was murdered by his mother.” Movie is based on 2016 novel “Ashita no Shokutaku” by Michiko Yazuki and directed by Takahisa Zeze.

“Tomorrow’s Dinner Table” will be released May 28, 2021 in Japan.

Kenshi Okada cast in NTV drama “Date My Daughter”

Kenshi Okada is cast in NTV drama series “Date My Daughter” starring Miho Kanno & Minami Hamabe. For the drama series, Kenshi Okada will play Hikaru Irino. He is a university student and attends the same school as Sora Minase (Minami Hamabe). While he has an attractive appearance and is popular with women, he does not have a girlfriend. He thinks of love as being an annoyance, but he gets involved with Sora Minase.

Miho Kanno cast in NTV drama “My Daughter Doesn’t Have A Boyfriend”

Miho Kanno is cast for the lead role in NTV drama series “My Daughter Doesn’t Have A Boyfriend” (literal title of “Uchi no Musume wa Kareshi ga Dekinai”). The drama series features an original screenplay by Eriko Kitagawa (“Hundred Million Stars From the Sky“) and directed by Seiichi NagumoHidemi Uchida. For the drama series, Miho Kanno will play successful romance novelist Aoi Minase. She worries about her 20-year-old daughter who is an otaku and doesn’t have a boyfriend.

Teaser trailer added for upcoming TBS drama series “Prison’s Princess” (literal title) starring Kyoko Koizumi, Hikari Mitsushima, Kaho, Maki Sakai, Aiko Morishita and Miho Kanno. The drama series follows a group of women who knew each other in prison and they now scheme to get revenge for one of their former cellmates. Drama series is based on an original script by Kankuro Kudo.

Kyoko Koizumi, Hikari Mitsushima, Kaho, Maki Sakai, Aiko Morishita and Miho Kanno are all cast in new TBS drama series “Prison’s Princess” (literal title). The drama series follows five female prisoners and a prison officer (played by Hikari Mitsushima). When Kayo Baba (Kyoko Kizumi) is released from prison after 6 years, she meets with three of her former inmates. They concoct a plan to take revenge for their former cellmate Shinobu Edogawa (Kaho). She is unjustly imprisoned on murder charges. The prison officer also helps the woman in their revenge plan. Drama series is directed by Fuminori Kaneko and screenplay written by Kankuro Kudo.

Takanori Iwata cast in TBS drama series “Suna no Tou”

Takanori Iwata (‘J Soul Brothers’/‘EXILE’) is cast in upcoming TBS drama series “Suna no Tou” starring Miho Kanno and Nanako Matsushima.

In the upcoming drama series, Takanori Iwata will play 28-year-old Kohei Ubukata. He works as a gym teacher and one of his students is the daughter of Aki Takano’s (Miho Kanno). Kohei Ubukata and Aki Takano grew up in the same neighborhood and he has liked Aki Takano since that time. He supports Aki Takano during her troubles with her neighbors, but he also has a hidden side.

Miho Kanno cast in TBS drama series “Suna no Tou”

Miho Kanno is cast in new TBS drama series “Suna no Tou.” The drama series marks Miho Kanno’s first leading acting role in a drama series since 2012 TBS drama series “Wonderful Single Life.” In the drama series, Miho Kanno will play Aki Takano. Her character is a housewife who moves with her family into a new high-rise apartment building. There, she meets a scary neighbor and a connection seems to exist between the neighbor and a series of recent abductions. Drama series is scripted by Natsuko Ikeda (“Miss Double Faced Teacher“) and directed by Ayuko Tsukahara (“It’s Not That I Can’t Marry I Don’t Marry“).
