Jun Shison cast in NTV drama “10 Kai Kitte Taorenai Ki wa Nai”

Jun Shison is cast in NTV drama series “10 Kai Kitte Taorenai Ki wa Nai.” Drama series is scripted by Izumi Kawasaki (“Single Flower Day“) and directed by Naoko Komuro (“Escape“) & Hidemi Uchida (“The Reluctant Preacher“). In “10 Kai Kitte Taorenai Ki wa Nai,” Jun Shison will play Teru Aoki. He lost his parents at age of 7 and then was adopted by his father’s best friend was from South Korea. Teru Aoki then grew up in South Korea under the name of Kim Min-Seok and was the successor to his adoptive family’s business. Things changed after his father died in South Korea. He then returns to Japan and meets Momoko Kawase.

“10 Kai Kitte Taorenai Ki wa Nai” first airs April 12, 2026 in Japan.

Teaser trailer & teaser poster for Netflix drama “Glass Heart”

Teaser trailer and teaser poster added for Netflix drama series “Glass Heart” starring Takeru Satoh, Yu Miyazaki, Keita Machida, & Jun Shison. In addition to the teaser poster, 6 character posters consisting of Takeru Satoh, Yu Miyazaki, Keita Machida, Jun Shison, Masaki Suda, and Reini are also released. The drama series revolves around a new band named TENBLANK played by Takeru Satoh, Yu Miyazaki , Keita Machida, and Jun Shison. They have a rival band named OVER CHROME with members played by Masaki Suda and Reini. Newly announced cast members to play supporting roles in the drama series are  Erika Karata, Pistol Takehara, Akari Takaishi, You, Naohito Fujiki, Takayuki Yamada, and Reini.

“Glass Heart” will be available to stream from July 31, 2025.

Takeru Satoh and Yu Miyazaki cast in Netflix drama “Glass Heart”

Takeru Satoh and Yu Miyazaki are cast in Netflix drama series “Glass Heart.” Also cast in the drama series are Keita Machida, Jun Shison, and Masaki Suda. The drama series is based on 2011 novel “Glass Heart” by Mio Wakagi. For “Glass Heart,” Takeru Satoh will play genius musician Naoki Fujitani. He scouts Akane Saijo (Yu Miyazaki) for his new band.

“Glass Heart” will be available to stream sometime next year.

Trailer and poster for Netflix drama “Yu Yu Hakusho”

Trailer and poster added for Netflix live-action drama series “Yu Yu Hakusho” starring Takumi Kitamura and Go Ayano. The drama series is based on manag series “Yu Yu Hakusho” by Yoshihiro Togashi. The poster shows Yusuke Urameshi (Takumi Kitamura) and Younger Toguro (Go Ayano) standing face to face. Younger Toguro is the biggest enemy of Yusuke Urameshi.

“Yu Yu Hakusho” will be available to stream December 14, 2023. Netflix will also hold an eve event that will be held December 13, 2023 and live streamed on its social media channels.

Fumiya Takahashi and Jun Shison are cast in TBS live-action drama series “Fermat no Ryori.” The drama series is based on manga series of same name by Yugo Kobayashi. Story for “Fermat no Ryori” is centered around a highly rated restaurant where a young man played by Fumiya Takahashi begins to work. His background is in mathematics and he uses that to develop recipes.

“Fermat no Ryori” first airs October, 2023 in Japan.

Main trailer & poster for movie “The Way of the Househusband The Movie”

Main trailer and poster added for movie “The Way of the Househusband The Movie” starring Hiroshi Tamaki, Haruna Kawaguchi, & Jun Shison. Movie is based on webcomic “Gokushufudo” by Kousuke Oono and follows 2020 NTV drama series “The Way of the Househusband.” The film follows former yakuza member Tatsu (Hiroshi Tamaki). After marriage, he tackles household problems rather than gang problems. The movie’s theme song has also been announced as “2way nice guy” by musical group Creepy Nuts. The theme song also plays in the main trailer.

“The Way of the Househusband The Movie” is now set for release June 3, 2022 in Japan.

Hiroshi Tamaki, Haruna Kawaguchi, & Jun Shison cast in live-action film “The Way of the Househusband.” Movie is based on webcomic “Gokushufudo” by Kousuke Oono. 2020 NTV drama series “The Way of the Househusband” is based on the same webcomic. Hiroshi Tamaki, Haruna Kawaguchi, & Jun Shison will reprise their respective characters from the NTV drama series for the live-action film version. Also cast for supporting roles and reprising their characters from the drama series are: Naoto TakenakaIzumi InamoriTamaki ShiratoriKenichi TakitoYuta FurukawaJunpei YasuiTina TamashiroMegumi, and Michiko Tanaka. Actors who will play new characters for the live-action film will be announced at a later date.

Keiko Kitagawa cast in movie “The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window”

Keiko Kitagawa is cast for a special appearance in live-action film “The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window” starring Masaki Okada, Jun Shison, & Yurina Hirate. The film is based on manga series “Sankaku Mado no Sotogawa wa Yoru” by Tomoko Yamashita and directed by Yukihiro Morigaki. For the film, Keiko Kitagawa will play Attorney Keiko. She is placed under a curse by female high school student Erika Hiura (Yurina Hirate). 

“The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window” will be released January 22, 2021 in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for mystery-horror live-action film “The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window” starring Masaki Okada, Jun Shison, and Yurina Hirate. Movie is based on manga series “Sankaku Mado no Sotogawa wa Yoru” by Tomoko Yamashita and directed by Yukihiro Morigaki. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Kuraku Kuroku” by rock group Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni. The theme song is also featured in the main trailer.

Koji Kikkawa & Jun Shison cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama series “Private Detective Rintaro Yuri”

Koji Kikkawa and Jun Shison are cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama series “Private Detective Rintaro Yuri” (literal title of “Tantei Yuri Rintaro”). The drama series is based on two novels by Seishi Yokomizo: “Chocho Satsujin Jiken” & “Tsukareta Onna.” Koji Kikkawa will play main character Rintaro Yuri. He works in Kyoto as a private detective and forensic psychologist. Jun Shison will play his assistant  Shunsuke Mitsugi. Filming for the drama series has already finished and took place in Kyoto and the surrounding Kansai region.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Rintaro Yuri (Koji Kikkawa) used to work as the chief of the First Investigation Division in Tokyo. Due to a case, he resigned from the police force and moved back to his hometown of Kyoto. Now, he works as a forensic psychologist in Kyoto. After receiving requests from the police, he helps them with their investigations. His investigation method involves careful observance of the crime scenes and he uses trace techniques learned from a hunter. He met that hunter in the Rocky Mountains, USA, during his school days. His assistant in Kyoto is Shunsuke Mitsugi (Jun Shison). Shunsuke Mitsugi admires Rintaro Yuri and runs the website “Yuri Rintaro no Jikenbo,” which records Rintaro Yuri’s performance.

The 5 episode drama series first airs  June 16, 2020 in Japan.
