Oji Suzuka, Goro Inagaki, and Koyuki are cast in TV Tokyo drama series “Legal Beat.” The original screenplay follows a law firm that employs characters played by Oji Suzuka, Goro Inagaki, and Koyuki. Oki Suzuka will play lead character Sora Taichi. He had a difficult time finding a law firm that would hire him because of his stutter. Yet, he can speak without stuttering when he talks over a rap beat. Goro Inagaki will play senior lawyer Hideyuki Hoshi and Koyuka will play law firm director Asumi Yukimura.
“Legal Beat” will first air July 24, 2026 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: As a lawyer, Sora Taichi (Oji Suzuka) hoped to represent people who could not speak up for themselves. Even though he passed the bar exam on his first try, he hasn’t been able to find a job due to his stutter. He finally finds employment at an unconventional law firm, where Director Asumi Yukimura (Koyuki) and Lawyer Hideyuki Hoshi (Goro Inagaki) work. The law firm is not afraid of taking on the most difficult cases.
Despite Sora Taichi’s stutter, he has a weapon. That is when he speaks over a beat, his stuttering disappears and he can speak freely. He evokes the clients’ heartfelt emotions and tackles desperate issues in court through the explosive power of rap.
