Keiichiro Koyama and Kokoro Hirasawa are cast in NTV live-action drama series “Takasugisanchi no Obentou.” Drama series is based on manga series of same name by Nozomi Yanahara. The two leads who play relatives who suddenly live together. They begin making bento box lunches which brings them closer. The first teaser for the drama series can be viewed at AsianWiki.

Main trailer for movie “Aimitagai”

Main trailer added for movie “Aimitagai” starring Haru Kuroki, Aoi Nakamura, & Sawako Fujima. Movie is based on 2014 novel “Aimitagai” by Tei Chujo & directed by Shogo Kusano (“The Longest Photo in The World“). Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been announced as “Yoake no My Way” by lead actress Haru Kuroki. This is the first time that Haru Kuroki has performed a theme song for a movie. The theme song was originally written and composed by Ichiro Araki in 1979.

“Aimitagai” will be released November 1, 2024 in Japan and will also have its international premiere at the 2024 Busan International Film Festival.

Teaser poster and release date for Netflix movie “Uprising”

Launching teaser poster and release date added for Netflix distributed film “Uprising” starring Gang Dong-Won & Park Jeong-Min. The period action/war film is directed by Kim Sang-Man (“Midnight FM“) and has Park Chan-Wook (“Oldboy“) as its producer and co-screenwriter. “Uprising” is set around during the end of the 16th century, with the two leads playing master and slave. They become enemies as the country goes to war.

“Uprising” will have its world premiere as the opening film for the Busan International Film Festival on October 2, 2024 and then have its general release October 11, 2024 through the Netflix platform.

Trailer and poster added for movie “Fushigi Dagashiya Zenitendo” starring Yuki Amami, Kazuya Ohashi, & Rikka Ihara. The film, which is based on children’s novel series “Fushigi Dagashiya Zenitendo” by Reiko Hiroshima, tells the story of a mysterious candy shop that allows wishes to be granted to customers of its sweets. The movie’s theme song has also been announced as “Negai wa Gyosan” by Wednesday Campanella. The theme song is played during the trailer. Also newly announced supporting actors for the film are Kokoro Hirasawa, Himena Irei, Noa Shiroyama, Tenta Banka, Mirai Yamamoto, Keisuke Watanabe, Rie Tanaka, and Jiro.

Masaki Okada and Kiichi Nakai are cast in TV Asahi drama series “The Travel Nurse.” The drama series is a sequel to 2022 TV Asahi drama series “The Travel Nurse” and will have Masaki Okada and Kiichi Nakai reprise their roles of Ayumi Nasuda and Shizuka Kuki. The sequel will Ayumi Nasuda begin work at Nishitokyo General Hospital.

“The Travel Nurse” will first air October 17, 2024 in Japan (takes over TV Asahi’s 9PM time slot after “SKY Castle“).
