First teaser poster for JTBC drama series “A Virtuous Business” starring Kim So-Yeon, Yeon Woo-Jin, Kim Sung-Ryoung, Kim Sun-Young, & Lee Se-Hee. “A Virtuous Business” is set in a rural town in 1992, when four women begin selling adult toy products door-to-door. Caption on the poster states “How about this vibe?”

“A Virtuous Business” is now scheduled to first air this October in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Saturday and Sunday 10:30 PM time slot after “Romance in the House“).

Kim Hye-Yoon & Lomon cast in SBS drama “Starting from Today, I’m Human”

Kim Hye-Yoon & Lomon are cast in SBS drama series “Starting from Today, I’m Human.” The drama series is scripted by Park Chan-Young & Jo A-Young and directed by Kim Jeong-Kwon (“Maestra: Strings of Truth“). “Starting from Today, I’m Human” is setup as a fantsy/romantic-comedy with Kim Hye-Yoon playing a quirky gumiho (fox with nine tails) named Eun-Ho. She doesn’t want to become human and enjoys being a gumiho. Lomon will play popular soccer star Kang Shi-Yeol. He gets a wish taken away.

“Starting from Today, I’m Human” first airs sometime next year in South Korea.

Main trailer and poster added for movie “6 Lying University Students” starring Minami Hamabe, Eiji Akaso, and Hayato Sano. The film is based on 2021 novel “Rokunin no Usotsuki na Daigakusei” by Akinari Asakura. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Baka no Hitotsu Oboe” by band Ryokuoushoku Shakai. The theme song is also featured in the main trailer.

“6 Lying University Students” will be released November 22, 2024 in Japan.

Yim Si-Wan, Park Gyu-Young and Jo Woo-Jin cast in movie “Mantis.”

Yim Si-Wan, Park Gyu-Young and Jo Woo-Jin are cast in Netflix distributed movie “Mantis.” Movie is a spin-off of 2023 movie “Kill Boksoon,” with Byun Sung-Hyun returning to write the screenplay. The three lead characters did not appear in movie “Kill Boksoon,” but they play characters involved with MK Enterprise that was run by Cha Min-Kyu (Sul Kyung-Gu). They each have different goals as they deal with the void left by the death of Cha Min-Kyu.

Release date for “Mantis” has not yet been decided.

Main trailer and poster added for movie “The Queen of Villains” starring Yuriyan Retriever, Erika Karata, and Ayame Goriki. The film is based on the life of real life professional wrestler Dump Matsumoto, who rose to fame as a popular female villain wrestler in the 1980’s. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been announced as “Are you serious?” by Awich. The track is featured in the main trailer.

“The Queen of Villains” consists of 5 episodes and will be available to stream from September 19, 2024.

First teaser trailer and teaser poster added for Netflix drama series “Beyond Goodbye” starring Kasumi Arimura and Kentaro Sakaguchi. Just announced today for major supporting character roles are Toma Ikuta, Yuri Nakamura, Tomokazu Miura, Eita Okuno, Ayumi Ito, Issey Ogata, Yuki Saito, Kanji Furutachi, & Yoshiko Miyazaki. For Toma Ikuta, he will play the character of Yusuke Nakamach. He is the boyfriend of Saeko Sugawara (Kasumi Arimura), but dies in a car accident and his heart is donated to Kazumasa Naruse (Kentaro Sakaguchi).

“Beyond Goodbye” will be available to stream from November 14, 2024 in Japan.

Teaser trailer 2 added for SBS drama series “The Judge from Hell” starring Park Shin-Hye and Kim Jae-Young. The second teaser trailer begins with Park Shin-Hye as Kang Bit-Na stating “Do you know why I like my job of being a criminal court judge? Because I get to meet a lot of bad people.” Around the 7 second mark Kim Jae-Young as Detective Han Da-On states “If justice is alive, I believe the law will protect me” and Kang Bit-Na states at the 10 second mark “Justice is dead.” Captions in the teaser trailer states (0:16) “When the human trial ends,” (0:27) “The real trial begins,” (0:47) “Shaking up human’s justice,” (0:57) “The devil’s justice.”
