Lim Soo-Jung and Ko Gyung-Pyo offered roles in tvN drama series “Chicago Typewriter”

Lim Soo-Jung and Ko Gyung-Pyo have been offered roles in upcoming tvN drama series “Chicago Typewriter.” Actor Yoo Ah-In already received an offer to play the lead male role and he is still considering the offer.

For Lim Soo-Jung, she has received an offer to play the lead female character. The lead female character used to be a big fan of bestselling writer Han Se-Joo (Yoo Ah-In if he accepts), but she is now an anti-fan of him.

For Ko Gyung-Pyo he has received an offer to play the second lead male character. The second lead male character is a ghostwriter.

Currently, Yoo Ah-In, Lim Soo-Jung and Ko Gyung-Pyo are all considering their respective offers. Expect a decision soon, as the drama series is scheduled to first air sometime around March, 2017 in South Korea (taking over tvN’s Friday and Saturday 8PM time slot after “Tomorrow With You“).

Ryunosuke Kamiki and Nana Komatsu visuals for live-action film “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure”

Here’s visuals (posters) of Ryunosuke Kamiki and Nana Komatsu for upcoming live-action film “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” starring Kento Yamazaki. Movie is based on manga series “Jojo no Kimyona Boken Part 4 Daiyamondo wa Kudakenai” by Hirohiko Araki and directed by Takashi Miike. In the upcoming live-action film, Ryunosuke Kamiki plays Koichi Hirose. He is a classmate of Josuke Higashikata (Kento Yamazaki) and he loves peace. Meanwhile, Nana Komatsu plays Yukako Yamagishi. She goes to the same high school as Koichi Hirose and Josuke Higashikata. She likes Koichi Hirose.

“JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” will be released August 4, 2017 in Japan.

Kwon Sang-Woo offered lead role in KBS2 drama series “Mystery Queen”

Kwon Sang-Woo has been offered the lead male role in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Mystery Queen” (literal title). Choi Gang-Hee has already received an offer to play the lead female role. Both performers are considering their offers positively. If Kwon Sang-Woo accepts his offer, he will play Ha Wan-Seung. He is described as a passionate detective. He begins to collaborate with housewife Yoo Seol-Ok (Choi Gang-Hee if she accepts) to solve cases. Supporting actors Park Jun-Keum, Jeon Soo-Jin & Kim Min-Jae are already cast for the drama series.

“Mystery Queen” is scheduled to first air April 5, 2017 (takes over KBS2’s Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “Chief Kim“).

Trailer for movie “Vampire Night”

Trailer added for upcoming movie “Vampire Night” starring Yurina Yanagi, Yuuka Ueno & Yuhi. Movie will have its world premiere at the 2017 Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival (March 2-6, 2017) in the “Yubari Choice” section. Story for “Vampire Night” follows two sisters, played by Yurina Yanagi & Yuuka Ueno, who visit a ryokan located deep in the mountains. They soon learn the ryokan is also home to vampires.

“Vampire Night” will be released May 6, 2017 in Japan.

Park Ki-Woong cast in movie “Cheese in the Trap”

Park Ki-Woong is cast in movie “Cheese in the Trap” starring Park Hae-Jin & Oh Yeon-Seo. For the movie, Park Ki-Woong will play major supporting character Baek In-Ho. In the tvN drama series version of “Cheese in the Trap,” actor Seo Kang-Joon played the same character. The character of Baek In-Ho used to be close with Yoo Jung (Park Hae-Jin) and he was also a promising pianist, but an injury caused him to give up the piano. He wandered from place to place and thought Yoo Jung caused his injury.

“Cheese in the Trap” will be released sometime this year in South Korea.

Shotaro Mamiya cast in live-action NTV drama series “You Don’t Know Gunma Yet”

Shotaro Mamiya is cast in live-action NTV drama series “You Don’t Know Gunma Yet.” The drama series is based on the webcomic “Omae wa Mada Gunma wo Shiranai” by Hiroto Ida. In the drama series, Shotaro Mamiya will play main character Nori Kamitsuki. He transfers to a high school in Gunma Prefecture. He is in for a shock due to the regions cultural differences. He also becomes involved in a fight with the area’s rivals.

“You Don’t Know Gunma Yet” first airs March 6, 2017 in Japan.

First still image of Kai in KBS2 drama series “Andante”

Here’s the first still images of Kai (‘EXO-K’) in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Andante.” The still images are from Kai’s first day of filming for the drama series, which took place around the middle of last month (January, 2017). In the drama series, Kai plays rebellious high school student Lee Shi-Kyung.

“Andante” will air sometime this year in South Korea.

Filming for movie “Commander Kim Chang-Soo” finishes

Filming for upcoming movie “Commander Kim Chang-Soo” (literal title),  starring Cho Jin-Woong & Song Seung-Heon, finished January 31, 2017. Filming took place over 3 months and shooting locations occurred nationwide, including Ganghwado, Hapcheon, Mungyeong and Yeoju. The last scene filmed took place on a snow covered field on Hambaek Mountain in Gangwon Province, South Korea.

“Commander Kim Chang-Soo” will be released sometime this year in South Korea.

Kiichi Nakai and Kuranosuke Sasaki cast in movie “Full of Lies”

Kiichi Nakai and Kuranosuke Sasaki are cast in new movie “Full of Lies” (literal title of “Usohappyaku”). Movie is directed by Masaharu Take (“100 Yen Love“). Filming for the movie will take place February, 2017 in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, Japan and the story will be set there. In the movie, Kiichi Nakai plays antique deal Norio and Kuranosuke Sasaki plays potter Sasuke. The two men come across legendary tea master Sen no Rikyu’s chaki (tea utensil).

“Full of Lies” will be released next year in Japan.
