Jung Yoo-Mi offered lead role in SBS drama series “Bravo My Life”

Jung Yoo-Mi has been offered the lead role in new SBS drama series “Bravo My Life” (Korean title) and she is currently “positively considering” the offer. If Jung Yoo-Mi accepts, she will play Ha Do-Na. Her character works as an assistant director for a drama series. Story for the drama series will revolve around 3 people at a broadcasting station.

“Bravo My Life” will air Saturdays at 8:45PM beginning October 7, 2017 in South Korea.

Tetsuji Tamayama and Nozomi Sasaki cast in Hulu drama series “Ame ga Furu to Kimi wa Yasashii”

Tetsuji Tamayama and Nozomi Sasaki are cast for new Hulu drama series “Ame ga Furu to Kimi wa Yasashii.” Literally, the title translates to “If It Rains, You Are Nice,” which gives a good hint for the screenplay. In the drama series Tetsuji Tamayama and Nozomi Sasaki play husband and wife, but the wife has a sex addiction. On sunny days, she will sleep with other men. The drama series is scripted by Shinji Nojima and directed by Kyoji Otsuka.

“Ame ga Furu to Kimi wa Yasashii” will stream online in Japan beginning this autumn.

Teaser trailer for KBS2 drama series “Man-Hole: Feel So Good”

First teaser trailer for KBS2 drama series “Man-Hole: Feel So Good” starring Kim Jae-Joong and Uee. The teaser trailer features Kim Jae-Joong, Uee, Jung Hye-Seong and Baro dancing to “Pen Pineapple Apple Pen” in downtown Seoul. The drama series revolves around a man who uses a manhole to travel in time to prevent his own wedding.

Teaser trailer for movie “The Table”

Teaser trailer for omnibus film “The Table” (English title) starring Lim Soo-Jung, Jung Yu-Mi, Han Ye-Ri and Jung Eun-Chae. Movie had its world premiere at last year’s Busan International Film Festival. Story for “The Table” takes place over the course of a day and tells four different stories. Each of the stories takes place at the same table between a man and a woman. Movie is directed by Kim Jong-Kwan.

“The Table” will be released August 24, 2017 in South Korea.

Anne Suzuki cast in time-travel film “Ashita ni Kakeru Hashi 1989nen no Omoide”

Anne Suzuki is cast for the main character role in movie “Ashita ni Kakeru Hashi 1989nen no Omoide.” Also cast in the film are Misato Tanaka, Itsuji Itao and Akira Takarada and the movie will be directed by Takafumi Ota. Story for “Ashita ni Kakeru Hashi 1989nen no Omoide” has Anne Suzuki playing Miyuki. Her younger sibling died in a car accident in the year 1989 and since the accident her mother became ill and her father drank himself to death. Miyuki believes if she could save her sister from the car accident, her family would be living happily today. Miyuki then travels back in time to the year 1989.

Filming for “Ashita ni Kakeru Hashi 1989nen no Omoide” takes place August, 2017 around Shizuoka Prefecture and the movie will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Krystal cast in tvN drama series “Wise Prison Life” & first script reading …

Krystal from ‘f(x)‘ is cast in upcoming tvN drama series “Wise Prison Life” starring Jung Kyoung-Ho & Park Hae-Soo. Krystal will play the lead female character, but her character is virtually a supporting character due to the script centering around a prison and its inmates and staff.

Meanwhile, the first script reading for “Wise Prison Life” took place July 17, 2017 at CJ E&M Center in Sangamdong, Seoul, South Korea. Main cast members including Park Hae-Soo, Jung Kyoung-Ho, Sung Dong-Il, Jung Woong-In, Choi Moo-Sung, Yoo Jae-Myung & Krystal all attended. The first script reading took about 4 hours to complete.

“Wise Prison Life” will first air in the second half of this year in South Korea.

Poster and main trailer for movie “Wilderness: Part One”

Poster and main trailer added for upcoming boxing film “Wilderness: Part One” starring Masaki Suda and Yang Ik-June. Movie is based on 1966 novel “Aa, Koya” by Shuji Terayama and directed by Yoshiyuki Kishi. The trailer features theme song “Konya” by rock group band “Brahman.”

“Wilderness: Part One” will be released October 7, 2017 and its sequel “Wilderness: Part Two” will be released October 21, 2017 in Japan.

Kang Ha-Neul drops out of OCN drama series “Bad Guys 2”

Kang Ha-Neul has dropped out of upcoming OCN drama series “Bad Guys 2” to enlist in the South Korea military. He will officially enter the military on September 11, 2017 and is scheduled to be discharged on June 10, 2019. Yesterday, actor Ji Soo was announced as a new cast member to replace the injured Um Tae-Goo. Pure speculation here, but with the replacement of Um Tae-Goo, this may have caused a delay in filming which caused to Kang Ha-Neul to drop out of the series due to his enlistment schedule. “Bad Guys 2” is a sequel to 2014 OCN drama series “Bad Guys,” but featuring a new cast of Park Joong-Hoon, Joo Jin-Mo and Ji-Soo.

“Bad Guys 2” is scheduled to first air November, 2017 in South Korea.

Jang Dong-Gun cast in movie “Outbreak”

Jang Dong-Gun is cast for new movie “Outbreak” (literal title) co-starring Hyun-Bin. The film is set in historical times and is also an action film involving monsters. Movie will be directed by Kim Sung-Hoon (“Confidential Assignment“). For the upcoming film, Jang Dong-Gun will play Kim Ja-Joon. He works as a high ranking government official, equivalent to Minister of Defense. He awaits for the chance to usurp the throne and is in conflict with Lee Chung (Hyun-Bin). Also cast in supporting roles are Jo Woo-Jin, Kim Eui-Sung, Jo Dal-Hwan and Kim Ju-Hyeok will make a special appearance.

Filming for “Outbreak” will begin the second half of this year in South Korea.

Jin Goo and Jung Eun-Ji cast in JTBC drama series “Untouchable”

Jin Goo and Jung Eun-Ji (‘Apink’) are cast for the lead roles in upcoming JTBC drama series “Untouchable.” Also cast in major supporting character roles are Kim Sung-Kyun and Koh Joon-Hee. For drama series “Unbelievable,” Jin Goo will play Jang Joon-Seo. He is a detective squad chief and the second son of Jang Beom-Ho. His family dominates his home city.

“Untouchable” will air later this year on Fridays and Saturdays at 11PM after “The Package.”
