Um Tae-Goo has dropped out of upcoming OCN drama series “Bad Guys 2” because of health issues. He recently injured his knee and also had a liver issue, which led to Um Tae-Goo being hospitalized for treatment. He is now discharged and undergoing outpatient treatment. Drama series “Bad Guys 2” is a sequel 2014 OCN drama series “Bad Guys,” but with a new cast featuring Park Joong-Hoon, Kang Ha-Neul and Joo Jin-Mo.
“Bad Guys 2” will air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.
Kang Min-Hyuk (‘CNBLUE’) will make a cameo appearance in ep.1 of KBS2 drama series “School 2017.” For his cameo appearance, Kang Min-Hyuk will play college student Jong-Geun. He is Eun-Ho’s (Kim Se-Jeong) first love and tries to motivate her to pick up her poor grades to enter the same prestigious university that he attends. .

Krystal from idol group ‘f(x)’ has been offered the lead female role in tvN drama series “Wise Prison Life” (literal title) starring Jung Kyoung-Ho and Park Hae-Soo. Character descriptions have not yet been revealed. The drama series will be set at a prison and revolve around the inmates and staff members there. Drama series will be directed by Shin Won-Ho. He has directed popular tvN drama series “Reply 1997,” “Reply 1994” and “Reply 1988.”

Masahiro Higashide, Mackenyu Arata and Aoi Morikawa are cast in new movie “Over Drive.” In addition, Takumi Kitamura (‘Dish’), Keita Machida andKotaro Yoshida are cast in supporting roles. Screenplay is written by Sayaka Kuwamura and the movie will be directed by Eiichiro Hasumi. Story for “Over Drive” will follow the volatile relationship between two brothers who work in the racing car word. The older brother Atsuhiro Hiyama (Masahiro Higashide) is an engineer for a race car company and the younger brotherNaozumi Hiyama (Mackenyu Arata) is a talented driver for the same company. They constantly fight though over the younger brother’s reckless driving style. Meanwhile, Hikaru Endo (Aoi Morikawa) becomes his manager.
“Over Drive” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
