Filming for movie “Be With You” finishes

Filming for romance film “Be With You,” starring So Ji-Sub and Son Ye-Jin, finished November 12, 2017 in Daejeon, South Korea. Filming took about 3 months to complete. The still image above of So Ji-Sub and Son Ye-Jin is the first still image released for the upcoming film. Movie “Be With You” is based on 2003 Japanese novel “Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu” by Takuji Ichikawa. The novel was previously adapted into 2004 film “Be with You” (starring Shido Nakamura and Yuko Takeuchi) and 2005 TBS drama series “Be With You” (starring Hiroki Narimiya and Mimura).

“Be With You” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Kazuya Kamenashi cast in Fuji TV drama series “Final Cut”

Kazuya Kamenashi (‘KAT-TUN’) is cast for the lead role in new Fuji TV-KTV drama series “Final Cut.” Also cast in supporting roles are Kanna Hashimoto, Naohito Fujiki, Kuranosuke Sasaki, Kento Hayashi, Yuya Takaki (‘Hey! Say! JUMP’), Tetta Sugimoto, Miki Mizuno and Ichiro Yatsui (member of comedy duo ‘Eleki Comic’). Story for “Final Cut” has Kazuya Kamenashi playing Keisuke Nakamura. He tries to find the killer of a girl that people accused his mother of killing. The murder took place 12 years ago and, after his mother was accused of the murder, she committed suicide.

“Final Cut” first airs January, 2018 in Japan.

First two teaser trailers for tvN drama series “The Most Beautiful Goodbye”

First two teaser trailers added for upcoming tvN drama series “The Most Beautiful Goodbye” starring Choi Ji-Woo and Won Mi-Kyung. The drama series is a remake of 1996 MBC drama series “The Most Beautiful Goodbye.” Screenwriter No Hee-Kyung who wrote the original screenplay also writes the screenplay for the tvN drama series version. Story for the drama series follows a mother (Won Mi-Kyung) as she prepares her final goodbye to her family.

“The Most Beautiful Goodbye” first airs December 9, 2017 in South Korea.

Joo Sang-Wook, Jin Se-Yun & Yoon Si-Yoon cast in CSTV drama series “Grand Prince”

Joo Sang-Wook, Jin Se-Yun & Yoon Si-Yoon are cast for lead roles in upcoming CSTV drama series “Grand Prince” (literal title). The drama series is set in a historical time period and follows two royal brothers played by Joo Sang-Wook and Yoon Si-Yoon who love the same woman played by Jin Se-Yun. For Joo Sang-Wook he will play Prince Lee Kang. He will even kill his younger brother to take control of the throne to attain the love of Sung Ja-Hyun. Jin Se-Yun will play Sung Ja-Hyun. She comes from a prestigious family and has a warm heart. Yoon Si-Yoon will play Prince Lee Whi. He is the younger brother of Prince Lee Kang and also loves Sung Ja-Hyun.

First script reading is scheduled to take place November 23, 2017 and the drama series will first air January, 2018 in South Korea.

Filming for movie “Byeonsan” finishes …

Filming for upcoming movie “Byeonsan” finished November 18, 2017 in Chuncheon in Gangwon Province, South Korea. Filming took about to 2 months to finish. Lead performers Park Jung-Min and Kim Go-Eun were at the last day of filming. Story for “Byeonsan” follows an unpopular rapper (Park Jung-Min) as he travels back to his hometown of Byeonsan. There he meets Sun-Mi (Kim Go-Eun) who attended the same elementary school. Movie is directed by Lee Joon-Ik.

“Byeonsan” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer and teaser poster for movie “Recall”

Teaser trailer and teaser poster added for upcoming movie “Recall” starring Tomoya Nagase and Dean Fujioka. Movie is based on 2006 novel “Soratobu Taiya” by Jun Ikeido and directed by Katsuhide Motoki (“Samurai Hustle“). WOWOW previously adapted the novel into 2009 drama series “The Flying Tire” (literal title). Story for the film follows the owner (Tomoya Nagase) of a trucking company as he tries to prove a a faulty tire was the cause of a fatal accident.

“Recall” is now set for release June 15, 2018 in Japan.

Here’s 2 main posters for upcoming MBC weekday evening drama series “Enemies from the Past” starring Choi Yoon-Young and Gu Won. Caption on the posters states “…write family and read enemy.” Story for the drama series will revolve around main characters Choi Go-Ya (Choi Yoon-Young) and Min Ji-Seok (Gu Won) and whether they can marry.

Main trailer for movie “The Scythian Lamb”

Main trailer for movie “The Scythian Lamb” starring Ryo Nishikido, Fumino Kimura and Ryuhei Matsuda. Movie is based on manga “Hitsuji no Ki” by Tatsuhiko Yamagami and directed by Daihachi Yoshida. Story for the film is set in a quiet seaside town. A city hall employee played by Ryo Nishikido is ordered to greet 6 new residents to the town. What he doesn’t know yet are all 6 of the new residents are part of a new Japanese program to help reform prisoners and they have all committed murder.

“The Scythian Lamb” opens February 3, 2018 in Japan.
