Kasumi Arimura & Jun Kunimura cast in movie “Kazoku Iro”

Kasumi Arimura & Jun Kunimura are cast in sequel film “Kazoku Iro.” Movie is the third installment of the “Railways” franchise which includes 2010 film “Railways” and 2011 film “Crossroads.” Movie will be directed by Yasuhiro Yoshida (“Enoshima Prism“). For “Kazoku Iro,” Kasumi Arimura will play widow Akira Okuzono. She moves with her stepson to her late husband’s hometown of Kagoshima and begins to live with her father-in-law Setsuo (Jun Kunimura). There, Akira Okuzono looks for a job and decides to become a train driver like her father-in-law and what her late husband dreamed of becoming.

Filming for “Kazoku Iro” will take place from January to February, 2018 in Kagoshima, Japan.

First script reading for tvN drama series “Live”

First script reading for upcoming tvN drama series “Live,” starring Jung Yu-Mi and Lee Kwang-Soo, took place November 16, 2017 at Studio Dragon in Sangamdong, Seoul, South Korea. Main cast members including Jung Yu-Mi, Lee Kwang-Soo, Bae Sung-Woo, Bae Jong-Ok and Lee Soon-Jae all attended. Story for “Live” follows the daily lives of police officers at a local precinct. The drama series is directed by Kim Kyu-Tae and scripted by No Hee-Kyung. They previously worked together on drama series”Worlds Within……,” “Padam Padam… The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats,” “That Winter, The Wind Blows” and “It’s Ok, This is Love.”

“Live” will first air sometime in March, 2018 (takes over tvN’s Saturday and Sunday 9PM time slot after “A Korean Odyssey.”

Here’s character posters for JTBC drama series “Just Between Lovers” starring Lee Joon-Ho (‘2PM’), Won Jin-A, Lee Ki-Woo and Kang Han-Na. The character posters are of the four main leads. In the drama series, Lee Joon-Ho plays Lee Gang-Doo. Due to an accident, he lost his father and his dream of becoming a soccer player. Won Jin-A plays Ha Moon-Soo. Jeon So-Min cast in tvN drama series “Cross”

Jeon So-Min is now cast in upcoming tvN drama series “Cross” co-starring Ko Gyung-Pyo & Cho Jae-Hyun. In the drama series, Jeon So-Min will play lead female character Go Ji-In. She works as an intern at Sunrim Hospital. She is highly principled like her father Go Jung-Hoon (Cho Jae-Hyun) who works as the director in the organ transplant center of Sunrim Hospital. Go Ji-In and Kang In-Kyu (Ko Gyung-Pyo) bicker over pretty much everything, but she gets attracted to him.

Teaser trailer for movie “The Discloser”

Teaser trailer added for movie “The Discloser” starring Kim Sang-Kyung and Kim Ok-Vin. Movie is the last film directed by Hong Ki-Seon (“Where the Truth Lies“) who passed away December 15, 2016. Story for “The Discloser” follows Lieutenant Colonel Park Dae-Ik (Kim Sang-Kyung) as he works with reporter Kim Jung-Sook (Kim Ok-Vin) to reveal a cover up involving the military.

“The Discloser” will be released sometime in January, 2018 in South Korea.

Chiaki Kuriyama cast in Fuji TV drama series “Final Cut”

Chiaki Kuriyama is cast in upcoming Fuji TV drama series “Final Cut” co-starring Kazuya Kamenashi. For the drama series, Chiaki Kuriyama will play lead female character Yukiko Ogawara. Along with her younger sister, Wakaba Ogawara (Kanna Hashimoto), she holds a key to a case involving the death of a young girl. Yukiko Ogawara works as a curator. She gets attracted to Keisuke Nakamura (Kazuya Kamenashi) who hides his true identity and approaches her for revenge.

“Final Cut” first airs January, 2018 in Japan.

First still images for KBS2 drama series “Are You Human Too?”

Here’s the first still images for upcoming KBS2 drama series “Are You Human Too?” starring Seo Kang-Joon and Kong Seung-Yeon. Filming for the drama series began at the end of June, 2017 and just finished recently. Some scenes were filmed in the Czech Republic and, with the use of filming sets, they were able to include all four seasons as backdrops in the drama series. Planning for the drama series took more than 2 years and the cost for the drama series came in more than 10 billion won (more than $9 million USD). Although filming is completed, post production work including CG and special effects still needs to be completed. In the drama series, Seo Kang-Joon plays Nam Shin and the android Nam Shin III. Kong Seung-Yeon will play bodyguard Kang So-Bong.

“Are You Human Too?” will first air sometime during the first half of 2018 in South Korea.

Trailer added for upcoming movie “Misozi Onna wa Romanchikku na Yume wo Miru ka?” starring Rina Takeda. The film is based on an original screenplay by Kentaro Yamagishi and Miyuki Uehara, with Kentaro Yamagishi also directing the film. Story for “Misozi Onna wa Romanchikku na Yume wo Miru ka?” has Rina Takeda playing almost 30 year old Nana Ogino. She goes home one evening to her studio apartment and finds 3 bank robbers hiding out in her place. She somehow goes on the run with the bank robbers.

Kim So-Yeon to make cameo appearance in MBC drama series “20th Century Boy and Girl”

Actress Kim So-Yeon is set to make a cameo appearance in currently airing MBC drama series “20th Century Boy and Girl” starring Kim Ji-Suk, Han Ye-Seul and Lee Sang-Woo. Kim So-Yeon is married to co-star Lee Sang-Woo (they married on June 9, 2017). For her cameo appearance, Kim So-Yeon will play a director on a filming set. Her character is notorious for being a perfectionist.

Kim So-Yeon’s cameo appearance will air on either episode 31 or 32 which airs November 28, 2017 in South Korea.
