First script reading for JTBC drama series “Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food”

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food” (literal title) took place on January 25, 2018 at JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. At the first script reading, main cast members including Son Ye-JinJung Hae-InKil Hae-YeonOh Man-SeokWi Ha-Joon and Jang So-Yeon attended. After the first script reading ended, Son Ye-Jin stated that “After the first script reading finished, I am more confident about the drama series. As an actress and viewer, I am looking forward to how Director An Pan-Seok will make the drama. Jung Hae-In stated that “I am honored to work with Son Ye-Jin and the other performers. I will try to make a happy filming set.”

The drama series will follow a woman in her 30’s, Yoon Jin-A (Son Ye-Jin). She works as a supervisor at a coffee company and develops feelings for the younger brother (Jung Hae-In) of a good friend.

“Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food” will first air March, 2018 in South Korea.

More cast members announced for movie “Sunny: Tsuyoi Kimochi Tsuyoi Ai”

More cast members have been announced for upcoming movie “Sunny: Tsuyoi Kimochi Tsuyoi Ai.” The film is a remake of 2011 South Korean film “Sunny.” Now cast in the film to play main characters from their high school days are Elaiza Ikeda, Maika YamamotoMio Noda, Momoko Tanabe and Miu Tomita. Suzu Hirose was previously announced to play lead character from high school days Nami.

For the movie, Elaiza Ikeda will play Nana. She is beautiful and admired by Nami. Maika Yamamoto will play play high school student Serika (Yoko Maki plays adult character). Mio Noda will play high school student Yuko (Eiko Koike plays adult character). Momoko Tanabe will play high school student Kokoro (Rie Tomosaka plays adult character). Miu Tomita will play high school student high school student Ume (Naomi Watanabe plays adult character).

“Sunny: Tsuyoi Kimochi Tsuyoi Ai” is now set for release August 31, 2018 in Japan. Below are two still images from the upcoming film.

Nam Joo-Hyuk and Bae Suzy offered lead roles in MBC drama series “Come Here and Give Me A Hug”

Nam Joo-Hyuk and Bae Suzy have been offered lead roles in new MBC drama series “Come Here and Give Me A Hug” (literal title). The drama series is tentatively planned to air beginning May, 2018 on Wednesday and Thursday at 10PM, taking over from “Let’s Hold Hands Tightly and Watch The Sunset.” Currently, both performers are considering their offers. The script will follow two people who carry wounded hearts because of a murder case from their past.

First script reading for MBC drama series “Great Seducer”

First script reading for MBC drama series “Great Seducer” took place January 16, 2018 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. Main cast members including Woo Do-Hwan, Joy (‘Red Velvet’), Kim Min-Jae, Mun Ka-Young, Shin Sung-Woo, Jeon Mi-Sun and Kim Seo-Hyung attended. The first script reading took over 4 hours to complete. During the first script reading, Woo Do-Hwan and Joy exchanged lines of their characters Kwon Shi-Hyun and Eun Tae-Hee. In the drama series, Kwon Shi-Hyun attempts to seduce Eun Tae-Hee. The screenplay is based on classic French novel “Les Liaisons dangereuses” by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos.

“Great Seducer” first airs March 12, 2018 in South Korea.

English subtitled teaser trailer for movie “The Princess and the Matchmaker”

English subtitled teaser trailer added for upcoming romantic-comedy film “The Princess and the Matchmaker” (English title) starring Lee Seung-Gi and Shim Eun-Kyung. Literal title of the film is “Marital Harmony.” Story for “The Princess and the Matchmaker” follows Princess Songhwa (Shim Eun-Kyung) as she selects from 4 marital candiates. She is helped the country’s top matchmaker in Seo Do-Yoon (Lee Seung-Gi).

“The Princess and the Matchmaker” will be released February, 2018 in South Korea.

Kyoko Koizumi cast in movie “Taberu Onna”

Kyoko Koizumi is cast for the lead role in movie “Taberu Onna.” Also cast in supporting roles are Erika SawajiriAtsuko MaedaAlice HiroseYu YamadaMitsu DanCharlotte Kate Fox and Kyoka Suzuki. The film is based on novels “Taberu Onna” and “Zoku ・ Taberu Onna” by Tomomi Tsutsui and directed by Jiro Shono. Story for “Taberu Onna” will follow the daily lives of 8 women with Kyoko Koizumi playing Atsuko Mochitsuki. Their daily lives are depicted through what they eat and who they sleep with.

Filming for “Taberu Onna” began January 8, 2018 and will finish during the middle of next month. Movie will then be released September, 2018 in Japan via Toei.

Teaser trailer added for upcoming thriller film “Vanished Night” (literal title) starring Kim Sang-Kyung, Kim Kang-Woo and Kim Hee-Ae. In addition. here’s the first three still images from the upcoming film. Story for “Vanished Night” has the body of a woman (Kim Hee-Ae) disappearing from theNational Institute of Scientific Investigation. Her husband (Kim Kang-Woo) claims she is still alive and a detective (Kim Sang-Kyung) tries to figure everything out.

Hiroshi Tachi, Yuki Furukawa and Mari Hoshino cast in WOWOW drama series “Gohan Taisakushitsu”

Hiroshi Tachi, Yuki Furukawa and Mari Hoshino are cast in WOWOW drama series “Gohan Taisakushitsu.” The drama series is based on novel “60 Gohan Taisakushitsu” by Tomotake Ishikawa (which will be published March 15, 2018) and directed by Kazuyoshi Kumakiri. In the drama series, Hiroshi Tachi, Yuki Furukawa and Mari Hoshino will play characters who are part of the Gohan Taisakushitsu (‘Misjudgment Countermeasure Office’). Their job is to reexamine death row convictions to find any false accusations.

“Gohan Taisakushitsu” first airs May, 2018 in Japan.
