Goro Inagaki is cast for the lead role in movie “Hansekai.” Also cast in major supporting roles are Hiroki Hasegawa, Chizuru Ikewaki and Kiyohiko Shibukawa. The film will be written and directed Junji Sakamoto. The film will deal with a man (Goro Inagaki) who takes for granted his family and work, but after encountering a former friend (Hiroki Hasegawa) he changes his way.
Release date for “Hansekai” has not yet been decided.
First script reading for KBS2 weekend drama series “Marry Me Now?” took place late December, 2017 at KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. In attendance were main cast members Han Ji-Hye, Lee Sang-Woo, Yoo Dong-Geun, Jang Mi-Hee, Park Sun-Young and Yeo Hoi-Hyeon. The drama series has Hyo-Seob (Yoo Dong-Geun) working as a shoemaker. He raised 4 children by himself after his wife died. His first love Mi-Yeon (Jang Mi-Hee) suddenly appears. Meanwhile, Yoo-Ha (Han Ji-Hye) plays Hyo-Seob’s second daughter. She is a resident at a hospital and meets surgeon Jung Eun-Tae (Lee Sang-Woo). They develop a romantic relationship.

Live-action film “Cheese in the Trap,” starring Park Hae-Jin and Oh Yeon-Seo, is now set for release March 14, 2018 in South Korea. March 14 is also “White Day” in South Korea, where men give gifts to women like cookies or chocolate or maybe even movie tickets this year. Movie “Cheese in the Trap” is based on webcomic “Cheese in the Trap” by Soon Ggi. Story for the film will revolve around the romance between Yoo Jung (Park Hae-Jin) who seems like the perfect male college student, but he has a dark side and Hong Seol (Oh Yeon-Seo) who is an ordinary university student. Park Hae-Jin reprises his role from the tvN drama series version of “Cheese in the Trap” while Oh Yeon-Seo takes over the role played by Kim Go-Eun in the drama series.
Jun Shison is cast for the lead role in new NTV live-action drama series “Dolmen X” and upcoming live-action film “Dolmen X.” Also cast in major supporting roles are Koudai Asaka, Yuuki Ogoe, Tina Tamashiro, Arata Horii, Ren Kiriyama and Yoshimi Tokui. Both the drama series and movie are based on manga series “Dolmen X” by Yuna Takagi. The movie version will include more scenes of the alien group 15 years after the drama series.
Jun Shison, Koudai Asaka, Yuuki Ogoe, Tina Tamashiro and Arata Horii will play aliens who want to invade Earth without having war. They decide to become an idol group to help accomplish their goal. The idol group is named “Dolmen X.” Ren Kiriyama will play actor Shugo Sanemitsu and Yoshimi Tokui will play an entertainment company president.
NTV drama series “Dolmen X” will first air March 10, 2018 and the live-action film version will be released sometime later year in Japan..
Teaser trailer added for tvN drama series “A Poem A Day” starring Lee Yoo-Bi, Lee Joon-Hyuk and Jang Dong-Yoon. The drama series is set in the medical field, but follows young people who work as therapists, nurses, assistants.

Park Jin-Hee is cast in currently airing SBS drama series “Return.” Park Jin-Hee will play lead female character Choi Ja-Hye which Ko Hyun-Jung initially played. Ko Hyun-Jung dropped out of the drama series last week due to differences with the director, in particular the lack of screen time for her character. Park Jin-Hee will begin filming for the drama series on February 13, 2018 and she will appear in ep.15 which is scheduled to air Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
Junichi Okada, Nana Komatsu, Satoshi Tsumabuki, Haru Kuroki and Takako Matsu are cast in horror film “Kuru.” The film is based on 2015 novel “Bogiwan ga Kuru” by Ichi Sawamura and directed by Tetsuya Nakashima (“Confessions“). Story for “Kuru” follows a woman played by Nana Komatsu who has some type of powerful spirit/ghost around her. Her boyfriend played by Junichi Okada gathers with people from all over the country to fight against that.
“Kuru” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Here’s a special Lunar New Year poster for upcoming sequel film “The Accidental Detective 2.” Kwon Sang-Woo and Sung Dong-Il return in their roles of Kang Dae-Man and No Tae-Soo respectively and this time around they will be joined by Lee Kwang-Soo. Caption on the poster states “Year of the Golden Dog, Come Back With A Bump.” The Korean title has also been updated from “Private Investigator 2” to “Private Investigator: Returns.”

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Ms. Hammurabi” took place January 16, 2018. Main cast members including Go Ara, L (‘INFINITE’), Sung Dong-Il, Ryu Deok-Hwan, Lee Elijah, Lee Cheol-Min, Lee Won-Jong and Kim Young-Ok all attended the first script reading. Prior to the start of the first script reading, Moon Yoo-Seok spoke and explained the story. Moon Yoo-Seok is a real life judge and he also wrote the novel “Ms. Hammurabi” which the drama series is based on. Moon Yoo-Seok will also write the screenplay for the drama series.
“Ms. Hammurabi” first airs May, 2018 in South Korea.
