Teaser trailers added for OCN drama series “Short”

Teaser trailers added for upcoming OCN drama series “Short” starring Kang Tae-Oh (‘5urprise’), Yeo Hoi-Hyeon and Kim Do-Yeon (‘Weki Meki’). The drama series consists of four episodes and was partially created to help promote the upcoming 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. The drama series will follow two young men who compete and become friends while taking part in short track speed skating. They both also fall for a young woman auditioning to become an idol group member.

“Short” first airs February 12, 2018 in South Korea.

Shuri, Masaki Suda, Riisa Naka cast in movie “Ikiteru Dake de, Ai”

ShuriMasaki Suda, and Riisa Naka are cast in movie “Ikiteru Dake de, Ai.” The film is the third feature film adapted from a novel by Yukiko Motoya (“Funuke Show Some Love, You Losers!“/”Vengeance Can Wait“). Also cast for supporting roles are Tetsushi Tanaka, Naomi Nishida, Yutaka Matsushige, Shizuka Ishibashi and Lisa Oda. Story for “Ikiteru Dake de, Ai” follows a hikkimori girl with hypersomnia (Shuri), her seemingly indifferent boyfriend (Masaki Suda) and his ex-girlfriend (Riisa Naka).

Filming for “Ikiteru Dake de, Ai” began January 8, 2018 and already finished. Movie will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.

Teaser posters and teaser trailer #3 added for upcoming KBS2 weekday morning drama series “Waves, Waves” starring Ayoung (‘Dalshabet’), Park Jeong-Uk and Jay (‘Trax’). The drama series follows a family that is separated because of the Korean War and goes through various hardships.

“Waves, Waves” first airs February 12, 2018 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Monday through Friday 9AM time slot after “Dal-Soon’s Spring“).

Hana Sugisaki cast in live-action film “Bleach”

Hana Sugisaki is in upcoming live-action film “Bleach” starring Sota Fukushi. For the live-action film, Hana Sugisaki will play Rukia Kuchiki. She transfers her power as a Soul Reaper to Ichigo Kurosaki (Sota Fukushi) after she is injured while battling a Hollow. Until she is able to regain her powers, she lets Ichigo Kurosaki do her work as Soul Reaper and supports him. During this time she lives secretly in Ichigo Kurosaki’s closet and pretends to be ordinary female high school student. She attends the same high school as Ichigo Kurosaki does. Movie is based on manga “Bleach”by Tite Kubo.

In addition, release date for “Bleach” is now set for July 20, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for tvN drama series “Live”

First teaser trailer for tvN drama series “Live” starring Jung Yu-Mi and Lee Kwang-Soo. The drama series also features director Kim Kyu-Tae and screenwriter No Hee-Kyung. The duo have previously worked together on drama series “Worlds Within……,” “Padam Padam… The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats,” “That Winter, The Wind Blows” and “It’s Ok, This is Love.”

Meanwhile photos above and below are from the traditional Buddhist gosa ceremony that takes place prior to filming.  The ceremony was held on January 28, 2018 in Paju, South Korea.

Ep.1 of “Live” is now set to air March 10, 2018 (takes over tVN’s Saturday and Sunday 9PM time slot after “A Korean Odyssey.”).

Trailer for movie “Last Hold!”

Trailer for movie “Last Hold!” starring Ryoichi Tsukada (A.B.C-Z) and the 6 members from Johnny’s ‘Snow Men’ idol group Ryota Miyadate, Shota Watanabe, Tatsuya FukasawaRyohei Abe, Daisuke Sakuma and Hikaru Iwamoto. In addition, below are two still images from the film featuring supporting actors Masanobu Katsumura as a coach from a rival school. The second still image is of Ryusuke Komakine & Munenori Nagano. Story for “Last Hold!” follows senior university student Okajima (Ryoichi Tsukada). He is the sole member of the school’s rock climbing club and he is about to graduate. So the club can continue, Okajima seeks out new members.

“Last Hold!” will be released May 12, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for movie “Microhabitat”

Teaser trailer for movie “Microhabitat” for starring Esom and Ahn Jae-Hong. Movie is written and directed by Jeon Go-Woon (“The Queen of Crime“). The film follows Mi-So (Esom). She works as a housekeeper and makes 45,000 ($40) a day. When prices of cigarettes go up, she has to give up cigarettes, whisky or her apartment. Mi-So picks her apartment.

“Microhabitat” had its world premiere at last year’s Busan International Film Festival and will have its general release March, 2018 in South Korea.

Supporting cast announced for WOWOW sequel drama series “Partner in Darkness 2”

Kazunari Ninomiya cast in TBS drama series “Black Pean”

Kazunari Ninomiya is cast in upcoming TBS drama series “Black Pean.” The mystery-medical drama series is based on novel “Black Pean 1988” by Takeru Kaido. Takeru Kaido also wrote the original novel series which movies “The Glorious Team Batista” and drama series “Glory of Team Batista” are based on. In the drama series Kazunari Ninomiya will play main character Seishiro Tokai. He is a talented surgeon, but also quite arrogant. When a new medical device is introduced that replaces the hands of surgeons, Seishiro Tokai reveals dark secrets behind the medical device.

“Black Pean” first airs April, 2018 in Japan.
