First script reading for upcoming tvN drama series “My Mister” took place December 18, 2017 in Sangamdong, Seoul, South Korea. The script reading featured main cast members Lee Sun-Kyun, IU, Lee Ji-Ah, Oh Dal-Su, Song Sae-Byeok & Chang Ki-Yong. The drama series has Lee Sun-Kyun, Oh Dal-Su and Song Sae-Byeok playing brothers. Park Dong-Hoon (Lee Sun-Kyun) is the middle brother and he supports his older brother Park Sang-Hoon (Oh Dal-Su) and younger brother Park Gi-Hoon (Song Sae-Byeok ). Park Dong-Hoon then meets Lee Ji-An (IU). In addition, version 2 of teaser trailer #1 has been added on AsianWiki.

Poster and trailer for live-action film “Inuyashiki” starring Noritake Kinashi and Takeru Satoh. Movie is based on manga “Inuyashiki” by Hiroya Oku and directed by Shinsuke Sato (“Gantz“). Story for “Inuyashiki” follows two men, one an elderly father and the other a high school student, become powerful cyborgs after witnessing an explosion. The trailer also reveals the rocking theme song for the movie which is “Take Me Under” performed by Man with a Mission.
“Inuyashiki” opens April 20, 2018 in Japan.

Lee Joon-Gi has been offered the lead role in upcoming tvN drama series “Lawless Lawyer” (literal title). Currently, Lee Joon-Gi is considering the offer. If he accepts, he will play former gang member now successful lawyer Bong Sang-Pil. He has a high success rate with court cases, partly due to exploiting loopholes in the law. The drama series will be directed by Kim Jin-Min who worked with Lee Joon-Gi in 2007 MBC drama series “Time Between Dog and Wolf.”
“Lawless Lawyer” will first air May 12, 2018 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Saturday and Sunday 9PM time slot after “Live“).
Erika Toda & Sakurako Ohara are cast in period film “The Day’s Organ” (literal title of “Ano Hi no Orugan”). The film is based on a true story and set during the final days of World War II. Movie will be scripted and directed by Emiko Hiramatsu. In the movie, Erika Toda & Sakurako Ohara will play two women who convince parents at an elementary school to take their kids out of Tokyo before the city is bombed. They eventually hide out at an abandoned temple in Saitama.
Filming for “The Day’s Organ” begins March, 2018 and the movie will be released spring, 2019 in Japan.
Haru and Hidetoshi Nishijima are cast in movie “Oz Land.” The film is based on 2015 novel “Ozu no Sekai” by Yoichi Komori and directed by Takafumi Hatano (“SP: The Motion Picture“).
In the film, Haru will play Kurumi Namihiro. She hoped to work at a 5-star hotel chain, but the corporate office sends her to work at an amusement park run by an affiliate company. The amusement park is out in the countryside. Although she is not initially enthusiastic about her job, she begins to enjoy her work. Hidetoshi Nishijima will play Yoshiko Ozuka. A co-worker at the amusement park. Kurumi Namihiro learns his secret.
“Oz Land” will be released fall, 2018 in Japan.
Teaser trailer for movie “Wind Wind Wind” starring Lee Sung-Min, Shin Ha-Kyun, Song Ji-Hyo and Lee El. The film is directed by Lee Byeong-Hun Story for “Wind Wind Wind” is set on Jeju Island and is setup as a comedy. A husband (Shin Ha-Kyun), wife (Song Ji-Hyo) and her older brother (Lee Sung-Min) encounter a woman (Lee El).
“Wind Wind Wind” will be released April 5, 2018 in South Korea.
Goro Inagaki is cast for the lead role in movie “Hansekai.” Also cast in major supporting roles are Hiroki Hasegawa, Chizuru Ikewaki and Kiyohiko Shibukawa. The film will be written and directed Junji Sakamoto. The film will deal with a man (Goro Inagaki) who takes for granted his family and work, but after encountering a former friend (Hiroki Hasegawa) he changes his way.
Release date for “Hansekai” has not yet been decided.
