Shun Oguri, Tori Matsuzaka, Sosuke Ikematsu, and Yosuke Kubozuka are cast in movie “Frontline.” The film is based on the true story of the Diamond Princess luxury cruise ship that was quarantined off Japan for two weeks in 2020 due to an outbreak of the coronavirus. A teaser poster and teaser trailer, which can be viewed at AsianWiki, has also been released.

“Frontline” will be released June, 2025 in Japan.

Masato Sakai and Haruka Igawa cast in movie “Hiraba no Tsuki”

Masato Sakai and Haruka Igawa are cast in movie “Hiraba no Tsuki.” Movie is based on 2018 novel “Hiraba no Tsuki” by Kasumi Asakura and directed by Nobuhiro Doi (“The Voice of Sin“). For actor Masato Sakai, “Hiraba no Tsuki” will be his first starring role in a movie since 2018 movie “Sakura Guardian in the North.” Movie “Hiraba no Tsuki” will tell a love story between two people who meet for the first time since their middle school days, which was about 35 years ago.

“Hiraba no Tsuki” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for Netflix drama series “Asura” starring Rie Miyazawa, Machiko Ono, Yu Aoi, & Suzu Hirose. The drama series is a remake of NHK drama series “Asura no Gotoku” and directed by award winning director Hirokazu Koreeda. Uhm Ji-Won & Ahn Jae-Wook cast in KBS2 drama “Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers”

Uhm Ji-Won and Ahn Jae-Wook are cast for lead roles in KBS2 drama series “Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers” (literal title). The drama series, scripted by Koo Hyun-Sook (“Never Twice“), will have Uhm Ji-Won play Ma Gwang-Sook. She becomes a widow only 10 days after marrying the CEO of Eagle Brewery. She then takes over the brewery and becomes the breadwinner for her four younger brother-in-laws. Ahn Jae-Wook will play Han Dong-Seok. Although he is wealthy, he lives in loneliness as a widow. He then meets Ma Gwang-Sook.

“Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers” will first air February, 2025 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Saturday and Sunday 7:55 PM time slot after “Iron Family“).

Nam Joo-Hyuk, Roh Yoon-Seo, and Cho Seung-Woo cast in Netflix drama “East Palace”

Nam Joo-Hyuk, Roh Yoon-Seo, and Cho Seung-Woo are cast in Netflix drama series “East Palace” (working title). The drama series is set in historical times and involves ghosts and spirits that exist within the palace. Nam Joo-Hyuk will play Ku-Cheon. He is able to enter the world ghosts and kill them with his sword. Roh Yoon-Seo will play Saeng-Gang. She is a court lady and has a special ability to hear ghosts. Cho Seung-Woo will play the King. He is a complicated man who enlists the help of Ku-Cheon and Saeng-Gang to take care of the curse in the palace. For actor Nam Joo-Hyuk, his role in “East Palace” marks his return to acting since he finished his military enlistment on September 19, 2024.

“East Palace” will be available to stream sometime next year on Netflix.
